We went on Saturday night with my brother and sister-in laws around 10:00 PM. It was still packed with a long wait, which was not an issue for us. Our 4 table top was ready within 15 mins. We've frequented different Texas Roadhouse's so we usually know what to order. Our server, spoke too fast and didn't have his name on the receipt so I can't say who took care of us. Overall, the service was mediocre except for the rounds of alcohol. He was definitely on top of that and trying to upsell drinks. I had to remind him twice for a set of silverware and the lemons he'd keep forgetting. He'd occasionally check on us for rounds of beer, but completely overlooked the need to refill bread, iced tea, and water until I had to ask for it. The sampler appetizer was good and my ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare so this is the reason I considered 4 stars. I tried the seasoned rice for the first time and not a fan. It tasted dry to me, but the green beans were good. Overall, service 3/5, quality of food 5/5. The servers are inconsistent so you may end up with one that's great and another that's mediocre. The food is always outstanding but my experience tonight, on my big 'ol 52th birthday made this old ladies day. I work all day and I'm always too tired to go out during the week. My boyfriend said he'd go pick up whatever I wanted. All I wanted was a bloody rare ribeye from Texas Roadhouse, the amazing rolls and cinnamon butter and rattle snake bites. Yes, we fluffy. I did a call in order because we deal in cash. I was told it would be ready at 8:55. 9:20 rolls around and fatgirl is getting hangry. I call the old man and he's flusterpated because they are telling him he has to wait because we didn't order online. I'm not a "Karen" but I know how to wear the boots. I call and ask to speak to a manager. I explain the situation to this sweet girl and express how working for the pappas co has taught me to understand the b.s. The service and kitchen are horrible. We came to eat and it took 1 hour to get a hot dog and fries and a chicken with mashed potatoes. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad and they came to tell me that they ran iut the lettuce that goes with the Cesar salad. Who runs out of lettuce...the chicken amd mashed potatoes were bland. We ordered our steaks medium rare, but they came out so overcooked they were nearly impossible to cut. I'm usually not one to complain, but this was inedible and had to be sent back. Worst to worst dining experience. No interaction from the greeting staff. Stood there with no greeting from them. Waited on food for more than 30 minutes and it's not busy at all. It's 3:43pm. Have visited this location since they first opened - at least 25 years. First - the steaks are almost always good hear - it has been very unusual to get a bad steak or have it cooked wrong, but on the very few occasions that happened, it was quickly corrected. Second - the service is ok to fairly good - you get what to pay for and remember, this is not Vic and Anthony's. Probably the worst part of eating here is their seating policy and the rudeness of the host/hostess area. About 50% of the time it appears those employees would rather be somewhere else. When you have done the online waitlist for a table for 6 - and 2 of your party are in the parking lot, but you can't be seated - nothing to say about that but ridiculously stupid. Ate here on a Sunday night. Their soda machine didn't work. I do understand things break down so I'm not complaining of that. We ordered an appetizer combo of which we were informed after ordering the potato skins were out. We were informed the lemonade was gone when we tried to order some, but then shortly after, saw somebody at the next table order lemonade, and then the waitress turned to us and said oh yeah, I found out there actually is lemonade do you want some? We ordered cheese fries of which were greasy and soggy. Our appetizer combo had fried pickles of which were very greasy and it also had boneless chicken wings of which were tough and dried out. We all had ordered tea, unsweet, half-and-half, and peach it was extremely weak. The peach tea was very gross, it had a bad taste to where the person who had ordered it asked for a water instead. the half-and-half was mostly unsweet, and tasted like water more than tea. About halfway through our meal, our waitress disappeared, and we never saw her again until we sent another waitress for her to get us a receipt after we had paid on the little kiosk at our table. So we had only gotten one refill on our drinks due to her being gone to wherever she went to. Overall I must say it was the WORST Texas Roadhouse I've ever visited. Dirty, bad service, bad food. I ordered the 6oz sirloin steak, cooked medium well, with shrimp, Caesar salad, and loaded baked potato. The food was delicious but the shrimp and steak were cold. The shrimp needed more seasoning. Second, our order took long and we did not get refills as needed. The ambiance was family style casual place. Went today for lunch. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye. Wife got the 14 oz. Hers was excellent, apparently; she ate all of it. Hers was cooked medium like she asked for. Mine was about the same diameter, but only 1/2" thick, and tougher than all get out. Like a "choice" steak from the grocery store. Also, ordered it medium rare, and not a trace of pink in it. Lots of gristle, though. Worked on two bites for a couple minutes each; had to swallow them still whole. I was DONE. I'm also done with this particular location. Service was fine, just not the food. I had a just a bite of steak leftover from my step son's bday dinner. He really goes for the rolls. I chewed that piece of steak for 3 minutes at least to get through it and I ate this no more than an hour after it was prepared. I didn't reheat it. Confused about how a restaurant could serve a steak so tough, I went to Google to see what quality they serve. It said "choice cuts" also they're cut "in house, never frozen, but they also get steaks shipped from Canada. I live in Texas. To not freeze a steak that travels like that can't be true. Something isn't telling the truth. It's either cheap grade or the in house butcher doesn't know how to cut a ribeye. I've never had a medium rare ribeye that actually gave my jaw a workout. I season and prepare and cook any steak at home with more flavor and I make steaks that are tender as a ribeye should ALWAYS be. I paid $100 for a family of 4 to eat a steak I can beat any day for MUCH cheaper. I just wanna know which part of what Google said isn't true. It WAS cooked to the right temp. It just did NOT have the fat a ribeye should have. That marbling, that tender pull. That chew that presents the flavor without working out my jaw. Absolutely love it here this place is a staple. The food is so good that you could get a different dish every time and love all of them. The staff is also very nice. I got mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon bits and they forgot the toppings but when I told them they immediately brought little cups with them for me so if that doesn't say nice and accommodating I don't know what does.I also got chili and rattlesnake bites for the table but they were so good that we ate them before I could get a picture. Thankfully my brother hadn't eaten his chili yet LOL. You can also see that I cleared my plate because the food is so good. While I was there they celebrated 3 DIFFERENT BIRTHDAYS!!! So you can really tell that this place is where memories are made. And to top it all off the country/cowboy aesthetic brings that whole place together and makes the dining experience so fun. Did not like the service in front. Called in advance for the wait list. When I arrived, I came inside to informed them we are here. They are aware that we arrived and told us to wait and they will notify us when a table is available in about 15 min. 25 minutes past and noticed many others people going in and getting seated. Went inside to see how much longer to only be told that the table has been ready. We asked why didn't I get notified when the table was ready. Their response was that we had to be waiting inside for us to be seated even though they told us to wait and they will call me when to go inside. I even noticed during the time we waited outside, one employee called on someone else outside that their table was ready!!
