Everything was above expectations for Tbone toms. The outside makes it look kind of dingy but it's truly a hidden gem and super charming inside. The waitstaff was amazing at timeliness, checking in on us, and making great recommendations. The food was amazing in terms of flavor and came out at all the right temps. I really enjoyed the chargrilled chicken and smoked turkey breast. They were both perfectly juicy and tender. They have live music out on the porch and it's such a nice chill vibe. This place has been for a while, with good reason. The food is really good. I tried the sandwich that comes with ribs on top and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Only hiccup was the waitress charging an adult chicken tender/finger meal for my daughter who is 10 and ordered from the kids menu. They did fix it but hate to have to deal with that and bring it up. read more

Food is soooo good Brian was our server much love. You're lucky if he's your server. Lol, I LOVE fried okra. I'm a horrible cook, i usually end up overcooking my okra. That's how I like it. Brian understood and took care of me. He made me a fresh cup of coffee. We had just returned from a cruise and were starving. Luggage in the car and headed to T-Bone Tom's. This is the 2nd time we've eaten here. The 1st time was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Horrible food, swore we'd never go back. Dumb us we went again tonight. I had the seafood schooner. More like the "mystery plater". Everything was just thrown onto the plate. The worst part was the fries catfish was paper thin on the slab and all batter. My son had burger and fries. My wife had the filet. That was really good. As for my son's burger, 4 or so hours later throwing up. Of course food poisoning. He did say the meat had a different taste than other places. Live and learn right? Will not be back read more

Came down from HTX and came together for dinner here after an active day. Ordered grilled pork chops, they give you 2. Can't complain for the great hearty portions. My bf got the fried seafood plate. Brought my Father for Father's Day for a steak and he ordered the chopped steak instead! Overall food was okay, brisket was very good but honestly tasted warmed up as did the ribs. Gumbo was not our favorite. Sides were amazing....mac & cheese is all that m&c should be, creamy, piping hot...very good. Fries tasted homemade, fresh cut, very tasty. Potato salad, coleslaw, green beans all very good. Ordered tea, very good and a few Budweisers. Overall food was okay, I feel could definitely step it up a few notches. I will say though, service was wonderful! Waitress gave great suggestions, we were seated promptly, and manager stopped by our table to check in on our meal. Ambiance was laid back, very inviting. We made the unfortunate mistake of taking out of town guest here for lunch last Friday 4-24-2026. We had not been to T-Bone Toms in a long time but always enjoyed the patio, local vibe and the food was adequate. Just wanted to take our guests someplace local. Nope. Nope. We all ordered the Friday catfish lunch. To say it was awful is a understatement. Sadly, we all picked at our lunch plate of fish, rice, red beans & hushpuppies but did not eat much. I profusely apologized to our guest for the meal and I let our waitress know how disappointed I was in the food as she could see we did not eat much of our meal. The waitress did not seem to care. Well. This lunch ruined the rest of our day and dinner plans as we all ended up sick at our stomach within a short amount of time. Hindsight. Had I checked and asked my friends & neighbors (we have lived here for 44 years) who eat out more than we do (I did after we got sick) we would have known that T-Bone Toms has gone down hill and is not what it use to be. I made it up to our guests with the help of recommendations from friends & neighbors with meals at Fish and Chips Houston and Saltgrass Steak House both in Kemah and the food and service where excellent. Do better T-Bone Toms. You have a great fun local vibe place but you need to take a look at what's coming out of your kitchen. read more

10/10 hamburger steak 7/10 Chicken and sausage gumbo Last time I was out here I had the hamburger steak and it was really good. I ordered it again today and it was almost better this time around. The hamburger patty had more char and enhanced the flavor. The Louisiana Purchase appetizer was good but I have had better gumbo. There was a lot of chicken and sausage. The broth lacked some seasoning but when I'm feeling sick, I would love to have this specific gumbo because it's a light flavored broth. We also got our usual order of armadillo eggs and over the years they have been getting smaller in size. I would say when we first came out 10 years ago, they were as big as a pear. Now they are getting closer to the size of real chicken eggs! Needless to say, they are still the best armadillo eggs. We went to T-Bone Tom's for Happy Hour which had great prices on their wine and beer. We had fried pickles for our appetizer, and they were perfectly fried. I had the shrimp cocktail that had a large portion of bay shrimp. I would have preferred three or four large shrimp instead. My hubby had a brisket taco and a fish taco--both had a lot of meat and fish. He said they were both excellent. The ambiance is Texas casual and well done. The service was prompt and pleasant. I was in a soup mood. Noticed they offered both tortilla soup and chicken/sausage gumbo. Hard decision. Our serve was gracious enough to let me try both to see which one I wanted. Both tasted fantastic! I did choose the tortilla soup and would eat it again. I'm looking forward to ordering the gumbo on one of my next visits though. And I saw a sign where you could order a gallon of it for around 30 bucks and 6 hours notice. I may just order some because how nice would that be to bring to a gathering and/potluck. Or have on hand for holiday guests? I mean, the possibilities are endless. Love supporting locally owned businesses! Absolutely amazing place! The blackened catfish was off the chart good! Didn't get a picture but get a side of grilled shrimp as well! Excellent service all the way around. Place has been there since 1974 and the nostalgia of the restaurant will take you back in time. read more

Great name, great reputation and the place was even on DDD!!! I had the marbled brisket with ribs and sausage. I want impressed with the BBQ sauce especially being in Texas! It too close to ketchup. The meat was good though. We were there for a birthday party and waitress didn't rush us and let us take our time. They even kept our cake in the fridge until we were ready for it. read more

We ordered a prime rib with baked potato. The steak was "to die for" if I could, I would have ordered two. It was a medium cooked but very very tender. The service was excellent and checked in with us but not being a nuisance. The atmosphere was nice. Not loud. Options to sit inside or outside. Typical greasy spoon. Reasonably priced food. Good service and if it is pretty outside, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the food. I think the food is more American but has an extensive menu. I recommend T-Bone Tom's. Try it. It is a restaurant that is traditional to League City. read more

You can't go wrong with T-Bone Tom's if visiting the Kemah area! Have been here many times over the years and the services and food are consistently excellent. They have a large outdoor area for seating with cabana roofing to enjoy live bands almost any giving night. Great food and drink specials everyday of the week. I highly recommend the Armadillo eggs as an appetizer and have not had an entree here that I didn't enjoy. read more

We love going to T-bone Toms when there is a good band there. Recently went with a group of 10 to see Texas City Revelators. called a few days ahead and got a table front row center. we all had dinner and drinks. Service was great. Food is always good. The music always starts early, like 5 or 6. so we can have a great night out and still be home by 9. read more

Must come to this place when you are in Kemah, TX! The outdoor patio is very nice with fans and a country band playing. We had a blast. Cocktails are nice and server is friendly. Very good quality steak at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Skip all the restaurants on Main and boardwalk. Just come to Tom's! read more

I've been coming here for many years and my most recent visit reminded me why it's stuck around for so long. We came in for lunch on a weekday. While there wasn't a wait, it was still fairly busy with tables moving in and out. The setting is super casual - laminated menus are at the table for use. Our server this time was Kayla, who was super friendly and efficient. I normally go for the Squealer, which is almost a standard burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles; however the burger patty is sprinkled with bacon throughout. Can you imagine just how great that smells and tastes!? The rest of the table ordered that, but this time I decided to venture out. I went for the Rodeo Burger (Southern), which comes with bbq sauce, bacon, jalapeños, cheese, and topped with their Hula Hoops (onion strings). The burger was SO BIG when it came out, they had to place the top bun next to the burger. I struggled to fit this one into my mouth, as it was so big. But delicious! The patty was juicy and all of the toppings brought the southern flavor together well. For sides, we got the Fried Mushrooms, Onion Rings, Tater Tots, and Sweet Potato Fries. Super healthy, I know. But so dang good. Everything was crispy and steaming hot as you bit into it. All of the sides are very reasonably priced - the mushrooms were under $7 and the rest were even cheaper than that for generous portions. Our table of 4 struggled to finish these, as we were already pretty stuffed from our burgers. I will always appreciate Tookie's for a solid burger in the Clear Lake/Seabrook neighborhood. Aside from the burgers, don't sleep on the amazing patio that looks out to the Kemah marina if the weather is nice!
