Food: * Fried shrimp/blackened shrimp+fish: This was yummy! Cooked very well, not over-cooked at all. Had really yummy flavor. The veggies from the blackened dish were so good! * Fried catfish: I unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of the fish. It lacked flavor for me. I will say that it's hard to get flavor on a fried catfish. * Michelada: It was good! It wasn't to tomatoey, it was just right. * Stuffed jalapeños: this was actually really yummy! Highly recommended to get if you're considering an app. They are pretty big too, between me and my husband we didn't finish them. Also the food came out really quick so maybe that's why too. Service: The staff was immediately welcoming and kind. It's a shame that they didn't have as much business as I expected. This business sure does deserve having more clientele! Employees get a 5/5 on their own. Ambiance: It's kind of like a sports bar vibe but not over the top bar scene. It's still family friendly enough and cozy to where it could serve as a nice lunch spot or hang out with friends.

I have to give a shout out to Pacific Seafood. I have been a few times since they have opened. I heard they got a Landry's chef. That could be right or wrong or no longer applies. However, I have to say Micheladas sp? are always yummy there, and I'm not a beer drinker so their mix must be right. I ordered a burger this time....usually I order seafood. You can see the pic. Very nice presentation. Everything was fresh and delish! They are competing with restaurants that are well established but don't leave them out of the loop. There usually are not big crowds there but it is not due to lack of quality. If you want to follow the crowd to some of the other hot spots, go ahead but I encourage you to drop in for a week night dinner, lunch or a refreshing cold one. Thank you, Pacific! Did not realize I had so many pics of their food from other visits but let's go ahead and do this!

This restaurant made our Friday ! The grilled oysters, hush puppies, and gumbo were a ten out of ten. My daughter had the blackened chicken Alfredo, so good - chicken was the start of the entree. My other kiddo had the chicken tenders and there was no food left on the plate to clear, win.

To all you folks who travel with pets...We love this place but it is NOT PET FRIENDLY. Service is good, seafood is fresh and the steaks are tasty and tender. PACIFIC SEAFOOD IS JUST NOT PET FRIENDLY.

This was our first time to visit Pacific Seafood. There was no one at the host stand when we walked in, we were not too sure if it was a seat yourself or wait to be seated. The guests were staring at us, we noticed a few waitstaff walking around then we were finally greeted and told to sit wherever we want. Annie was our server, she let us know that it was her second week to be there. I asked for a drink menu which took a while to get and it wasn't even up to date. Another server came over to us to ask if we had ordered, we let her know that we were waiting on a drink menu, we waited..... finally received the menu, all I wanted to do was glance at the wine selections, but the options were Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanch, and chard. No brands, so you don't really know what you're exactly drinking. Annie dropped the menu and walked off. Came back later, said she was helping with delivery, came back to several tables. She had two one tops and my husband and I. Finally was able to order our drinks, ordered two appetizers at the same time. Appetizers, two of the six oysters had a lot of shell on them. The shrimp campechana was spicy, had a lot of diced shrimp, but wasn't served with chips or crackers. I guess you just spoon it and eat it? If that's the case, serve it with a spoon. Chips would've been a nice touch. We both agreed that we wouldn't be ordering that again. Dinner: we ordered a house salad to split, asked for that to come out before our dinner, but that didn't happen. We actually thought that Annie forgot to put it in. The other server who asked us if we had been helped actually brought it out and said that it was sitting in the window waiting to go out. We ate the salad, it was good. Our dinner was very hot, so letting it cool off while eating our salad was fine. I had the fried catfish and shrimp combo. They had the right amount of crunch and flavor! The steak fries were crunchy too, but lacked seasoning. Husband ordered the catfish dinner, Annie said that she didn't even know that was an option to order because no one has ever ordered it. We were confused but hopeful. Our dinners made up for the lack of service we received. They did have several tv's in the large dining area, but none of them were on. Not sure what that is about. Will we be back? Ehhhh... maybe, but not right away.

As we walked in we were greeted and seated quickly. The waitress, I believe her name is Annie, was awesome! She made recommendations and was very efficient with service. The owner was attentive and engaging when my partner was giving suggestions/opinions. The fish and vegetables were well seasoned and the shrimp and fries were delicious. There is plenty of free parking and prices were reasonable, we definitely recommend!

Great service and good food. Best value in San Leon! We had the Sunday shrimp special. $19.99. 4 types of shrimp and we substituted the pasta for the steamed veggies . I had the Cobb salad. Fresh lettuce not from a bag. Great blue cheese dressing.

My family and I were in Galveston and decided we want to grab lunch before heading back to town. I…read moreremembered the name Pier 6 from two different group of friends so thought I should look it up and see where it was on the map. Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

Well I realize I completely forgot to write a review for Pier 6 when we came to visit in November…read more2025. Pier 6 menu changes from time to time. We had ordered: * Thai salad : 1/5 nothing Thai about this salad and it was terrible. * 2 dozen raw oysters: 4/5 decent good for Nov. * seafood gumbo: 1/5 we had the gumbo here before and it was decent but this time it was not the same and tasted like burnt roux which should never be served. * burger with a gravy sauce: 1/5 The brown sauce was pour around the burger and the burger was placed in the center. The burger bun was soggy and the worst burger we ever had. It was the strangest burger because we couldn't pick it up to eat it since it was soggy from the pour of the brown sauce. This burger was $25+ which was uneatable. The beef patty was unseasoned and dry. Fast forward March 2026, after the last dining experience we almost didn't want to come back. Only reason was for the oysters. We were happy to see the items that we really enjoyed was back on the menu! *Only fried shrimp $24.99: 5/5 comes with coleslaw, stellar jalapeño hush puppies which is the best I've had!, and fries. The shrimp is fresh and good size! Nothing beats a texas gulf shrimp! *Tide to fried $28.99- 4/5 comes with fried tx gulf shrimp, fried oysters, and fried red snapper, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. The fired oysters were so good!!!! Like wow and well seasoned! So fresh! The shrimp is perfect! Red snapper super disappointed because it was super fishy. I do not recommend the fried red snapper. Next time definitely get the only shrimp or only oysters combo and pass on the tide to fried which included the fried snapper. *3 dozen oysters - $14.99 per dozen: 5/5 the oysters in March a plump and juicy! So much better than Nov (early season) oysters. The oysters Unfortunately had shells from shucking the oysters so when eating them I bite into shell and thought I almost cracked a tooth. Quality of the oysters great 5/5. The shucking and handle of the oysters 1/5. No guest should eat shuck raw oysters bite on shell. That's a law suit waiting to happen and I hope this establishment does better because we love their freshness of their oysters. *Ocean water $6 happy hour : 5/5 reminds me of sonic ocean water except spiked lol *Watermelon slush $6 happy hour: 1/5 it was so strong and I felt the smokiness was too much. Love the ocean water more because it hides the alcohol and easy to drink. Service was meh. The place was packed at 5pm on a Friday. Not sure why our entrees and drinks came out before our appetizers which I felt was inappropriate. We had to flag down our waiter a few times for items. He did check in with us once after we got our food and took our first bites. Do I recommend Pier 6? Based on this recent visit I am glad I didn't write them off and yes. The food was great minus the oyster cleanliness. Definitely a favorite place for oysters and the best fried shrimp/oyster plate the area and Galveston even. Only negative is the blasting of the music. It's so loud we can not hear our conversation and will induce you a guarantee headache. It does not matter if you sit inside or outside.. it's the same noise level which is concert loud. The videos killer outside and so beautiful but I feel the blaring of music takes away from the charm of this place. If you are into rowdy loud places this is for you. Other than that, maybe distract one self by ordering happy hour drinks so it helps with the intense loud music.

When we arrived, we chose to sit upstairs to enjoy the pretty ocean view and were served right away. The vibes were great with a lively crowd, a slight breeze, sunny weather, and beach hut inspired décor. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. It is honestly impressive that they serve 50 cent oysters all day, every day, so of course we ordered three dozen. The Gulf oysters were large and fresh, and they did not skimp on the cocktail sauce or horseradish. Even though this spot is pretty far from my house, the oyster deal alone might make it worth the drive. My dad and I also ordered the Fried Mushrooms. They were fried beautifully, crispy on the outside and perfectly bite sized, which made them very addictive. Our waiter recommended the Parmesan Crusted Redfish and said it was the best item on the menu. While it was good, the Parmesan coating leaned a bit salty. That said, it was cooked well and still enjoyable. If I came back, though, I would probably try something different, like the Fish Tacos he also suggested. Overall, between the unbeatable oyster deal, friendly service, and relaxed coastal atmosphere, this restaurant makes for a fun and worthwhile outing. While not every dish was perfect, the value and setting make it a place I would happily return to, especially on a sunny day.
