Bistro Burger.

Not sure what I can say about what I consider to be one of the finest dining establishments in League City. Since the new owners acquired Main Street bistro, they have focused on preserving the friendly neighborhood family ambience, and simultaneously expanded the venue to include a full bar with some very fine liquors. They preserve the service which is always very hospitable very friendly changed or added to the menu their own flare, which is always quite good And just generally improve this restaurant to the point that even though I live in Richmond, Texas, I'm going to make it a point within the next month to take a trip down to league city so that I can enjoy this this restaurant. Don't miss it seriously make it a point to visit at least once or if you're like me, let it become a wonderful addiction..

The best thing about this visit is the cloth napkins did not smell like skunk like the last visit. Not only was it unpleasant but it was hardly impressive for the friend I brought there for the first time for her birthday. So go Main Bistro for nice smelling napkins! Seemed like the silverware was a little heavier duty than the flimsy stuff given to us last time so score! Brought another friend here for the first time for lunch. He had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with sautéed squash. He ate every bit of it and said he could not wait to come back. Now this is the type of experience you want! I had the black and blue burger with truffle fries. My plate was brought without the truffle oil. By the time that was fixed, my burger and fries were room temperature. Not hot like food should be brought to the table. Sat at the bar so we didn't have to sit in the dungeon. . Disappointed they no longer carried Western Sons Cucumber vodka but hey, water worked just fine!

I'm sad to write this review. My family and I love to come here. We live just a couple blocks away and like to walk here for the convenience and good food. Unfortunately, the past 3 times I have visited in the last month I have been extremely disappointed in the service. The last two times it has taken 10 minutes to get a menu and place our drink order. Each time the food has taken an hour to arrive, even though there were only 5-6 other tables seated in the restaurant. The food is good, but for the price there are other places in town you can visit and have a nice meal with better service and shorter wait times.

Bacon wrapped shrimp - delicious! Special of the night- champagne chicken! It was so good! It came with jalapeño risotto, which my husband loved. Also he asked to substitute green beans for the mixed veggies! He was a happy camper! It was well staffed!

Get the brisket quesadillas. Tried my son's quesadilla and holy moly so good, the brisket alone was stellar with the poblano and other fillings just perfect. My husband and I got the Coco shrimp tacos, also good. Another person in our group got a burger it looks amazing! Loved the 1/2 fries 1/2 onion ring combo , great option. The hot honey margarita was meh, tasted like a regular margarita no spice or hint of honey, looked pretty though.

Kids grilled shrimp with fries

Excellent food, fine presentation with a casual atmosphere great for kids. I chose the Nappa Valley burger. It was cooked medium and had complex flavors that worked well together. We also ordered the shrimp and grits which is a hit everytime. Lastly the kids grilled shrimp plate did not disappoint. We had dinner on Tuesday night and kids eat free which is a great bonus! Highly recommend this restaurant. Small town feel and quality food.

Chicken salad ... salad

As many times as I have been to the new location, I am surprised I have never updated my review. While I have not eaten dinner at the new location, I do come here frequently for lunch. The new location is a cute, rustic little spot. While it has ample parking, depending on the time of day, it can still be a challenge to find a spot. My absolute favorite dish here is the chicken salad ... salad. Stuffed into a tomato and served on a bed of lettuce, this chicken salad is literally the perfect portion for me. Service is always friendly and the food always comes out relatively fast. It's a great spot for lunch with friends or with colleagues.

Came in with high expectations, left with a headache and 2 hours i want back. While the food and atmosphere was great, the service was abysmal and non-existent. Waited 2 hours for my food and no one came to refill my tea, despite repeated attempts at asking.....y'all need to do better.

This place is a must!!! Everything was so delicious. My bf really enjoyed the seasonal salad. He said the dressing was perfection and pulled it all together nicely. But our favorite part of this dinner was the pecan cheesecake. I'm 8 months pregnant and this dessert brought tears to my eyes. You HAVE to get this on your next stop. The other great part of our dinner was our waitress, Melissa! She was so amazing and attentive. So friendly and laughed and giggled with us. I was really happy we had her and we'll be back to see her and get a slice of cheesecake ;) the atmosphere was so nice and intimate. We were sharing a nice meal before the arrival of our son. We couldn't have chose a better place.

Good breakfast platter!

The food is great, and the people are lovely. Hubby and I were in town for a long weekend and came here for brunch. He had a simple bacon and egg breakfast with rye toast (a man of simple taste), and really enjoyed it. But what this review is really about is the incredible egg sandwich that I got! It was a little like a BLT with eggs and cheese - and now I can't imagine having a BLT any other way! It was messy (that's an understatement) but so worth the mess. Glad we've been married nearly 20 years, because this is not a "first impression" type of meal for a lady. We also tried a few of their different flavored mimosas, which were delicious!

Paid $15 for the grilled fish dinner. Turned out to be an extremely thin flattened tilapia filet, over grilled peppers that were not cooked long enough. The rice had zero flavor. Came with a size of shredded iceberg lettuce and 2 sliced tomatoes. Not pictured was the 2 corn tortillas that immediately broke upon unrolling from the foil. Very small portions here. This was incredibly lackluster, and felt like I wasted my money. Zero flavor, no seasoning. No side of beans, no pico, no avocado, no chips?? This place seems to do the bare minimum. Never again.

We found it to be pretty good and fairly inexpensive. You get a lot of food on a breakfast plate. I give breakfast 4 stars. Lunch/Dinner - portion sizes are large. The chicken is better than the beef in my opinion. The beef fajita that comes inside tacos was cubed and seemed to be tougher. I have not ordered straight up fajitas yet but would hope they are better. The molé sauce on the enchiladas is pretty good. Chips and salsa are provided. I give lunch/dinner menu 3 stars. Bottom line - in my opinion, breakfast is better than lunch/dinner. I give breakfast four stars and lunch three stars. That averages to 3.5 hence the 4 star review. Bon appétit, y'all.

They have mastered all aspects of a quality establishment: excellent execution and service by the staff, solid output of food, a clean and inviting ambiance for all groups, and at decent prices for a casual meal or even a date. The vibe is modern and contemporary, which makes this place both casual and date friendly. There is just enough seating options (indoor and outdoor) to feel spacious, yet also intimate at the same time. The bar offers a nice view of the open kitchen, and a small TV. Love the framed art pieces and the uber clean restrooms. While their woodfired oven cooked pizzas don't resemble anything from NY, they still manage to stand out on their own. The margherita looks the part, which is thankfully nothing like the nearby competition. The elote crema is a fun spin, the busy bee is a hearty option, and the banhmizza shouldn't work yet they've managed to pull it off. The consistency has been an issue in the past, with some that feel overly doughy, feature a less than cooked undercarriage, or an overly charred bubbly edge. Thankfully it hasn't deterred my visits in the slightest. Where there are pizzas, there are pastas and they are just as popular. The brie alfredo is a colorful and indulgent option, as is the 5 cheese mac with crunchy quinoa on top. Their totally baked bolognese is very tasty, but the short rib ragu has been the go-to dish overall. I would be remiss if I didn't mention their cocktails, which are simple but quite nice. The root beer old fashioned is potent and sweet, while the girlfriend is a nice blend of gin and elderflower liqueur with floral additions such as rosewater, hibiscus, finished with lemon and egg white. The lychee sour is also an easy one to love, while sweet tooths might love the bedrock cocktail and it's fruity pebbles infused vodka. Lastly, the staff is very on it from all aspects of service. I admire how professional they've been with every meal and give major kudos to the Asian ownership for a job well done. This is an excellent spot. ___________ (#1) Queens.

It's truly such a good spot for pizza and pasta and reminds of me of Jupiter & Pizza Waffles in Sugar Land in terms of atmosphere and vibe. They have plenty of unique options for pizza which I really look forward to trying them all. They also have some other unique menu items too. If I lived closer here, I'd definitely be visiting more often. We had the pickle pizza with pepperoni added on it as well as the totally baked Bolognese. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the pizza is always as good as I remember it. I had the Bolognese for the first time this visit and it was delicious. A little on the heavy side but it's meaty and creamy with the cheese. Their house-made ranch is something else, I'm more of a bleu cheese guy but my girlfriend likes ranch better so we got that but I gotta say that ranch is reallyyyy good so I'd recommend trying that with your pizza too. Service is fast, you can choose to sit anywhere when you walk in. They get to you fairly quickly. I forget everything else I had in the past, but the service and food never disappoint!

Opus Bistro is a fine dining establishment. There is a good variety of appetizers, salads, and beef, chicken, and seafood entrees. They also have a decent wine list. In addition, for a relatively small cork fee, you can bring your own bottle. I have been here a few times now and find the food to be pretty good but not excellent, especially for the price. The waitstaff is attentive but the support staff is lacking. Water glasses remained empty for long periods of time. We split a Caesar salad (which the kitchen split for us; nice touch). I ordered Redfish which was prepared perfectly. She ordered Blackened Mahi Mahi with shrimp. She liked it. For dessert, we ordered Cheesecake. Bottom line - Although everything tasted good, it simply was not extremely memorable. I was genuinely disappointed with my experience at Opus…read more My wife and I had eaten here once before and, frankly, were not particularly impressed with the food. When we heard about the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Night, we saw it as an opportunity to give Opus a second chance while enjoying an event centered around one of our interests. As a bourbon enthusiast and collector with more than 120 bottles in my collection, this was a special event that I had been looking forward to for over a week. About a week and a half before the event, I called and made what I believed was a reservation. During that call, I specifically asked whether my wife could attend and have something other than bourbon. The young man I spoke with even put me on hold and checked with someone before confirming that would be fine. At no point during that conversation was I told that I was being placed on a waiting list rather than receiving a confirmed reservation. When we arrived the night of the event, we were handed a drink and then informed that we could not enter because there was no space available. Standing there with a drink in hand only to be told we were not actually admitted to the event was embarrassing and frustrating. We had planned our evening around this experience and were excited to attend, only to find out that what we thought was a reservation was apparently a spot on a waiting list. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of effort to make things right. Mistakes happen, and most reasonable people understand that. However, there was no meaningful attempt to accommodate us, no alternative offered, and very little acknowledgment of the inconvenience and embarrassment caused by the situation. The food itself remains what I would consider average--certainly not bad, but not memorable enough to overcome the customer service experience. We ultimately left and went to Kemah Steak Company, where we enjoyed excellent service, great steaks, and some outstanding Garrison Brothers bourbon. Ironically, the evening we had hoped to spend at Opus turned into a reminder of how much good service and customer care matter. I wanted Opus to prove my first impression wrong. Unfortunately, this experience only reinforced it. For a restaurant hosting specialty events, communication and customer service should be just as important as the food and drinks being served.

The service was horrible, we sat there being passed by at least 6 different servers for the first 15 mins with no acknowledgment, no drinks and not even handed menus at the very least. Not even that, I asked for no avocado because I'm allergic and what did I find at the very bottom of it? Exactly that. So clearly they don't care about allergies! We were never checked on, any time we needed something (like a drink) we had to flag someone down. Even to pay the bill we had to go through 3 people to track down whoever was supposed to be our server. The servers were unpleasant as well, they were too busy talking to eachother to even know what's going on. I will never step foot inside of this place again, coming here in the first place was a huge mistake. Like I said, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Food: The first time I came here I had hush puppies and a daiquiri. They were both good. The second time: a catfish poboy with remoulade sauce, the meaty part of the fish was so thin. I thought it was just a bad day or I received a really small fish out of the bunch, but it tasted okay the remoulade sauce saved it. The third time I ordered a catfish and shrimp platter, which had a nice amount of fries, but I couldn't really see how the catfish and shrimp looked or how many of each I received initially. That wasn't an issue, because I like French fries. But once I ate some of my French fries, that's when I realized that I had 4 shrimp, which were a good size and delicious and 3 catfish PIECES for $27. The two sauces were great. After seeing the catfish and four shrimp, I reviewed their website because the catfish was not catfishing the way that I'm accustomed. Their website says CATFISH PIECES, it's literally HALF of what a standard 3 piece catfish order would be at other places, so ONE AND HALF catfish. Absolutely ridiculous. Mind you the $27 does not include a drink, bread, or a daiquiri in the total price, just the food that you see in the picture, sans some of the fries that I ate. If I ever come back here again, it would only be for the daiquiri. I was disappointed in the catfish flavor, size and cost. I will wait until I visit home to get a better value catfish plate and eat elsewhere in the Houston area, because $27 for this is crazy. Ambiance: There's parking and the place looks clean with plenty of places to sit inside considering the size of the place.
