Opus Pasta was good, but I liked it better without the asparagus.
Emily L.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and while I was excited to try a new place, I left feeling underwhelmed. I honestly would've preferred to have my leftovers from brunch than the dinner we had here. It was a Monday and they were not busy AT ALL so we knew that our service should be top notch... and it was! However, we stood around at the hostess stand for about 3-4 minutes before we even saw the hostess. She asked if we had reservations - which we did - and sat us immediately after asking if we'd prefer a booth or a table. We opted for a table and while my husband had no issues, I found the chairs to be uncomfortable. It could be because I have short legs, but either way... that's just personal preference and has no effect on the rating of my review. Our server, Miguel, was great! He was helpful and attentive, and he even took a few pictures of us for our anniversary. He had some recommendations and took the time to answer any questions. 5/5 stars for him. The food was kind of the let down here. I'm the kind of person who looks at pictures, reads reviews, looks into places to see where to set my expectations, etc. I'm not a picky eater whatsoever so I knew exactly what I was walking into... or so I thought. They give you bread and oil as an appetizer. Usually this is delicious, but there was some seasoning in it that tasted really weird. Thankfully it was only in one side of the dish so we just avoided that particular spice and ate around it. The artichoke Claremont was nasty. I love artichokes and I was excited to try this. My husband was hesitant from the beginning and I wish we would've gotten something else. The hollandaise was thick and chunky, the artichoke wasn't tender except for the very deep inside of it. The heart was the only part that I somewhat enjoyed. My husband didn't like any of it. Our entrees were good. My husband got a Caesar Salad and Gumbo and I got the Opus Pasta. He was very happy with his food and while mine was good, I ended up eating the asparagus by itself instead of with the pasta because I liked the pasta better with no asparagus. The dessert was good. 5/5 - no notes. Will I come back? Probably not unless someone else wants to go for a birthday or something. I had an enjoyable evening with my husband at Opus, but I did not particularly enjoy the food and I wouldn't put this high on my list of places to go.

Fried shrimp with fries! I had to order it to go because I had a taste for it!

The food! The ambiance and the service! Ohhhhh and the drinks/bartenders are great! My husband and I go here at least 2 x a week! It's one of our favorites! The fried shrimp is great! The Cesar salad is awesome but the shrimp scampi appetizer....delicious!!

Lobster & Blacken Scallop risotto

First time dining here. To start off the food was amazing. Excellent spinach artichoke dip, cool crisp glass of rose. Entrees were hot, and generous portion. Dessert-Bananas Foster was perfectly cool and warm at the same time. Service was somewhat slow, had to ask for drink refills etc. It was not crowded at all, so that was the only downside. We will definitely go back.

It's a nice ambiance, food has just been so so. The waiters & waitresses need further training. The young lady that we had tonight was nice & pleasant, but knew nothing about the menu. Not her fault, she obviously hasn't had proper training. The soft shell crabs entree was a huge let down. It was a hard deep fried, not a delicate pan fry.

Great to have an additional restaurant on the "South Shore Harbor Resort campus"! We've been coming here for over 20 years and this was a welcomed addition, filling in the gaps to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all while at the resort! Food was delightful, worth every penny, considering the portion size. An extensive wine and drink list, perfect for a variety of pairings- also, quite flavorful. We both ordered the Lobster Risotto entree, with a lobster tail, blackened scallops, lobster risotto, and asparagus, paired with the Cono Sur Chardonnay, which was a win. The lobster and scallops were perfectly cooked, and plenty of lump lobster meat in the accompanying risotto, which was flavorful, with that ridiculously awesome cream sauce! The asparagus was also cooked to perfection! Great service by our waitress and new waiter who supposedly was shadowing her, but did well on his own! As far as the ambiance, more of a fine dining experience, and a bit pricier than the Paradise Reef (breakfast), and the Oasis Poolside bar (lunch & small plates), big as mentioned earlier, nice-sized portions. Will definitely be back, as we visit SSH often!

I HAD to downgrade my "stars" because we were told MULTIPLE times by a manager at the main Opus restaurant AND a bar manager here that THIS location has a "happy hour" menu and drink specials & it is also noted in the hotel rooms. They do not. Never have, apparently. A ploy to get you in? Perhaps. Fortunately, the french dip and wine were delicious.

Nice lowkey restaurant. We had large pretty of about 20 and the service was still outstanding. The cajun pasta tasted great!

OMG! We had one of our favorite 4th of July EVER! We went here for PRIME RIB TUESDAY. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! This was 2 of the Best PRIME Rib we've ever enjoyed.. It was perfect at medium rare. The seasoning was perfect, so it just melted into your tastebuds. AMAZING The potatoes were creamy and delicious.. The servers Kyla and Chaz were the most atinitive server'si believewe'veever had. They were Top Notch! The atmosphere was very nice with beautiful views of the marina... FIVE STARS for Opus Bistro.. We'll definitely be back.. We also need to give our mixologist a shout-out. She was great Made me the BEST LEMON DROP MARTINI, that I have ever tasted

My Wife and I picked Opus Bistro because they said they had great Steaks and my Wife wanted a good steak on her birthday. Everything started great we arrived early and sat at the bar and had a pre dinner Cocktail, a Kettle One dirty Martini and an Espresso Martini they were spot on, moved to our reserved window table and was greeted promptly by Brenden our waiter, the lobster bisque my wife loved it for her starter then main course she ordered the 16 Oz Ribeye and I went with the Halibut stuffed Special, when the waiter brought out the entrees and put them down the Halibut looked awesome but the steak looked almost black and way overcooked, Brendon asked my wife if the Steak was good she said sure it will be Fine, the more she tried to cut into it She realized that it was not medium rare but well done, needless to say she was not happy and kind of done at this point, We had the waiter box is all up and mentioned to Brandon that the steak was overcooked, he asked if we wanted it taken off the bill and wife said no no that will be fine, the waiter came back and dropped the bill off and I certainly thought he would have taken the $56.00 Ribeye off to do the right thing, but no the steak was still on the bill, We usually have great food and service but Saturday Night they were definitely having an off night

Great breakfast this morning at Main St Bistro after church. This was our second time here…read more Same friendly service in a very comfortable setting. They had a lot of daily specials to choose from. We both ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered The Alamo. A breakfast bowl Cheesy Hash browns, Bacon, Sausage and Ham covered with Gravy and Three Over Easy Eggs. My wife ordered the Le Bistro. Two Scrambled Eggs, Grits Bacon and an English Muffin. Such a great local spot have a meal with friends and family.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

It's truly such a good spot for pizza and pasta and reminds of me of Jupiter & Pizza Waffles in Sugar Land in terms of atmosphere and vibe. They have plenty of unique options for pizza which I really look forward to trying them all. They also have some other unique menu items too. If I lived closer here, I'd definitely be visiting more often. We had the pickle pizza with pepperoni added on it as well as the totally baked Bolognese. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the pizza is always as good as I remember it. I had the Bolognese for the first time this visit and it was delicious. A little on the heavy side but it's meaty and creamy with the cheese. Their house-made ranch is something else, I'm more of a bleu cheese guy but my girlfriend likes ranch better so we got that but I gotta say that ranch is reallyyyy good so I'd recommend trying that with your pizza too. Friends invited me out for a Sunday night karaoke, from the door guy to the rest of the staff, I felt passive aggression but felt like I could write it off due to my anxiety. I was more right than I thought. My friends and I sit at the booth and realize the music happening featured the live vocals of a karaoke singer. We were impressed and were laughing about our surprise. The KJ walks up to us and tells us almost verbatim "if yall are gonna be yelling, do it somewhere else because it's disrespectful to the singer" like we're watching a Michael Jackson kill a rob zombie song when it was okay at fkn best. The singer gets off the stage, looks at us and says "thanks for the applause." I said "hey I think your song was great," immediately responded with "yeah, whatever," to which I said "hey man I'm tryin to tell you we liked your song, why is that an issue?" The bartenders seem hostage, we ended up leaving fast after the fact. I was side eyed for asking for a tequila shot, the only one I ordered tonight. My friend ordered tacos and the shredded cheese on top made Taco Bell look like a Michelin. I've never stepped foot upstairs despite going to scout bar for shows for years, and I only regret I did this one time. If I could leave no stars, reader, I'd pay this website to be able to do it. *PS*, if you're gonna hold the microphone to host karaoke, stop calling your participants assholes before they tell you to hold a mirror up to yourself, you sound like a jackass.

Service each time has been fast, and consistent. All of the staff we have worked with knew the menu, and had great suggestions. They also frequently checked in on us and we didn't wait too long for anything. The most recent visit had Brad working with us, and he did a great job. Food wise, Gouda Mushroom Burger is fantastic every time. A great mix of flavors, and a hefty burger, you will not be disappointed. Every time we have come here, someone gets it. The fries are also well seasoned and tasty. Highly recommend. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken. This was absolutely fantastic. Served over a bed of sauteed serrano slaw (which was amazing, I usually don't like slaw), this delightful concoction was stuffed with cream cheese spinach artichoke and cream cheese with a balsamic glaze over the top. It comes with very good mashed potatoes. I don't like most restaurants potatoes, so that's a bonus win. Really enjoyed, would get it again. The beer! They have a really good menu that rotates. They have local craft brews, in addition to your standard domestics. They also have ciders for those that don't fancy a beer. Our last visit I had a Belgian Tripel, and a Pumpkin Stout. Delish! A great spot for a lunch or chill dinner. Plenty of tv space for games. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
