YOU CAN SMOKE HERE! Also the food is phenomenal and I now understand why parking is always full.

Laid-back spot with a solid vibe. Stopped by Rusty Hook Bar & Grill in Kemah and had a good visit overall. The service was great from start to finish. Bar staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Definitely a sports bar atmosphere, TVs everywhere, good energy, and always a plus catching Sunday NFL action. Go Texans. The staff really adds to the experience. Super cool and on top of things without being overbearing. Food-wise: Chips & queso: decent, nothing crazy -- 3/5 stars. Burger: hit the spot, juicy and flavorful -- 4/5 stars All in all, a relaxed place to hang out, grab a bite, and watch some sports with good people taking care of you. Would come back.

I get the chicken fried chicken each time I come and it's great! Came out fast and speedy, but I admit the mac n cheese could be better. Stick with the fries and you'll have a great meal! Good pricing too and nice music!

Can't say enough good things about this place food was AWSOME service was good best crawfish around

Great crawfish AWSOME service everybody's super nice best crawfish I've had this year so far

We came deep, loud, and STARVING--and somehow Rusty Hook didn't even flinch. The team handled us like seasoned pros. Shoutout to them for keeping the food flowing and the energy warm, even though we were acting like we hadn't seen a meal in weeks Let me be real... I got the mild crawfish because me and spice? We don't always get along. But babyyyy that mild was flavor-packed and FIRE (not spicy fire--just the good kind). Juicy, garlicky, buttery, and bold. It was giving Southern seafood magic. Between the great vibes, the patient staff, and the food that made me rethink my whole spice tolerance--Rusty Hook is IT. Whether you're ordering mild or sweating through extra spicy, this place hits every time. Highly recommend. And if you hear a loud table laughing too hard? Mind your business. It might be us.

Now is this a lot is seared tuna or what!?

We stopped in on the way back from Baytown and still had a drive home to Galveston but wanted a little something. Husband had the baked potato and I had the seared Tuna. We both had water since we were driving. The tunaxwas fressking outstanding! The wasabi was not too hot, tuna seared perfectly, served with pickled onions, slaw, lettuce and soy sauce. The tuna was awesome by itself. I barely used the sow. And huge helping that this glutton scarfed! I saw lots of folks getting crawfish and that they have daily specials during the week. Good on ya, Rusty Hook. Oh I loved that our order was paid tableside! Very convenient l. The baked potato could have used more bacon but husband ate meost of it regardless. Huge space! Go check it out!

Cold crawfish

Seasoning was good, too bad everything was cold. Half the crawfish were dead before they were cooked. Heard only good reviews about the place so I am very let down by what we had.

The Big Hook 5 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb of shrimp, 2 crab clusters, potatoes and corn. Delicious!

I forget how good this place is The crawfish was on point I goth the Big Hook and OMG it was good and spicy and hit the spot Even though they were busy our server was excellent I love the setup with your choice of high or low tables to sit at While we waited on our table we sat at the bar and had a couple of refreshing cocktails

3 lbs crawfish with corn and potatoes.

We went for crawfish. They were pretty good. Asked for spicy and didn't feel they were spicy. Overall the food was good. The service was not so good. Our waiter took our drink and food order all at the same time. Which was a red flag for me. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we waited about 40 mins to get a table. We had to continue to waive our waiter down for drinks, missing butter and waters. Which we ordered all on the first visit to our table. They do smoke inside the building. It honestly did not bother me as a non smoker but the bay doors were all open. So I'm sure that helped a lot. My friend said the table behind us was smoking and I didn't know it. I feel the long wait to get a table is due to the slow service. If you want something fast I wouldn't suggest eating here. If you have a few hours to burn then go here.

Come and get your crawfish here. It was perfectly spiced and delicious. They have a great deal for $6.99/lb. It has bar games, pool tables and darts. The Po-Boy was also amazing! Great place to come grab crawfish, a drink and a game. Smoking friendly. The service was awesome and our waitress made sure we were well taken care of. Will definitely come back. Parking can be a little tricky if the place gets too crowded.

Service is terrible, but then so is the food. Won't make the same mistake twice. Giving it a 1 star rating is more than generous...

Friendly customers and staffs too. It's a good place to have dinner and drinks. They offer a lot of dinner buffets.

Restaurant Review: The Velvet Quarter 2234 E. NASA Parkway,…read moreSeabrook, TX My friend and I visited The Velvet Quarter with the intention of enjoying a relaxed meal on the patio. When we arrived, we seated ourselves outside, where there was only one other group present. Despite the patio being very small and the waitress coming in and out several times, we were never acknowledged or approached. After waiting for some time, I went inside and spoke with the owner, Adolf. He came out to our table and briefly discussed menu options with us. I asked specifically about the fish and chips, as we were told some dishes were no longer available due to an earlier rush. He said he would go check on that for me--but he never returned. Fifteen minutes later, we still had not received any service. When the waitress came back onto the patio again, I called her over and asked when we might be helped. She told me she "did not see us there," which I found difficult to believe given the size of the patio. After that interaction, she did not return to take our order. I went back inside and spoke with the owner again, this time clearly frustrated. He looked me directly in the eyes, raised both hands, and said, "You can calm down now." He repeated it in a tone that felt condescending and dismissive. I responded, "Thank you for giving me permission to calm down," and at that point, I turned around, walked out, and left with my friend to dine elsewhere. I cannot comment on the quality of the food because we were never served. I can comment on the service, which was extremely poor. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the service a zero. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to The Velvet Quarter.

They had a lot of daily specials to choose from. We both ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered The Alamo. A breakfast bowl Cheesy Hash browns, Bacon, Sausage and Ham covered with Gravy and Three Over Easy Eggs. My wife ordered the Le Bistro. Two Scrambled Eggs, Grits Bacon and an English Muffin. I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

The crawfish were fresh, juicy, and easy to peel (which matters if you know, you know). Whatever blend of spices they're using--keep doing that! It has always been our go-to spot for great food and excellent service, so naturally, we chose it again to celebrate a special evening with our daughter. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to the experiences we've had in the past. From the moment we arrived, our waitress seemed disengaged and not very attentive. When we asked if our daughter's drink could be made a little special--with a cherry and a fun glass--it felt like an inconvenience rather than a simple request. The food was still delicious, which we appreciate, but we've noticed portions have gradually become smaller over the years while prices continue to rise. More disappointing, though, was the service, which fell short of what we've come to expect from a place that has meant so much to us. It's genuinely sad to see what feels like a slow decline in one of our longtime favorite spots.
