    Texan Platter
    Anthony L.

Not sure how I haven't heard about this place before but I sure am glad I'm in the know now! We tried The Famous Crab last night and we might be hooked. This place is a seafood lover's dream! The seafood was cooked to perfection, everything had good flavor, the sauces were thick and held onto the seafood well, and there were a ton of options no matter what seafood you like to order. They even have good options for non seafood lovers, there's something for everyone. We had the Medium Feast(a seafood boil), an order of wings, and the Texan Platter which is a mix of fried shrimp and fish. Delicious... seriously. I'm going to come back and just get wings at some point, they were fire. I can't decide what was my favorite. I also really liked that they give you plenty of lemons and butter with your order, and each table has a nice setup with ketchup, Cajun seasoning, and paper towels. For the seafood boil we ordered Full House seasoning at the hot heat level, it was nice and spicy and had good flavor too. If we wanted to sweat we could probably go up to the next spice level, but will probably stick with that flavor as our main. There is plenty of parking at the restaurant and it is near a movie theater. The restaurant was clean and the employees were very attentive. Our server Lexi was great, she had a lot of tables but she paid such great attention to us and we never went without. She was awesome and was a big part of the reason we had a fantastic experience. I can't recommend this spot enough! We went for dinner last night and I had to talk myself out of going back for lunch today, it's the real deal.

The food was alright and I've had better seafood boils. We had a reservation but we were waiting for two more people and we were told that we needed to wait for the whole party to be there to be seated. Which was pretty frustrating but we were patient enough to wait. We finally got seated and the food was just fine. Nothing too special and honestly the seasonings could have been better. Our waiter was pretty nice so I'm grateful for that. The restaurant felt stuffy to me because I went whenever it was packed which is okay due to that. Yet I still found a lot of trash around my table like it wasn't cleaned properly. I even found a whole corn under my seat and I don't eat corn. Overall I wouldn't really come back here and would drive somewhere else for better seafood.

I recently visited the famous crab with my family Yesterday night and unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. we found a beetle in our food and my husband actually bit into it. We immediately called for the manager and he told us "sorry i'll take care of it ".We waited over 20 min for someone to come back to our table , the manager nor the server came back. After 20+ minutes she walked by and we called our server over , they still made us pay for the rest of our bill. i was so disgusted in the moment we just paid for it and left. i'm Honestly disappointed because we come here pretty often. Not only about the bug that he bit into but overall the way they handled the whole situation smh. ew

Porsche our waitress was very patient, nice, friendly, upbeat and her suggestions were helpful. But the food was very disappointing . For the price and the portion they give it's not worth the money. The Deluxe Cajun gumbo we ordered was good but yet it was a very small portion. The "Famous pasta" filled less than half the plate with bread on more than half on the other side. The fish platter only came with one very small fillet fish, four shrimp and a dollop of rice for $25. The drinks we received came in very small glasses. Two of their drinks would equal one at Cheddars at half the price. We could've got plates at Cheddars for that price with double the portions. There are so many places that have better prices and bigger portions. But to be fair we didn't get any of the boil and that maybe where they out due themselves.

The food was pretty good. It was pretty spicy just how I liked it! The service was amazing. It was a nice and chill place

There was no wait, the restaurant was clean and the wooden booths are nice. The food was good, we had the medium boil, Cajun and it was a lot of food! The sour apple martini was also good!

Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. This place will quickly be one of your favorites. I will surely be back.

Wow. WOW is the word to describe this place…read more Let me tell you about Bella the bartender, the BEST bartender I have ever encountered in my entire life. And listen, I'm basically a certified alcoholic (just kidding... allegedly), so trust me when I say I know a good drink when I taste one. I've sampled enough lovely liquors in my day to know what's good and what's just overpriced sadness in a glass. Bella is COMMITTED to her craft. She literally told me she studies cocktail recipes day and night. Like... how cute is that? Meanwhile I can barely commit to folding my laundry. Then she proceeds to make me the SMOOTHEST, yummiest espresso martini my tastebuds have ever had the privilege of experiencing. One sip and I was astonished, emotional, slightly turned on, all of the above. This woman has the shake hands of a goddess. I think I fell in love a little bit. Also, shoutout to the super friendly man in the Hawaiian shirt and Bob Ross-style beret. He brought immaculate vibes to the whole place and made the experience even better (for the most part). Anyways, the drinks at this place are phenomenal. 1000% give this place a try. And if you get Bella as your bartender, congratulations- you ARE one of God's favorites.

We were also informed that they stop serving food at 9:30, so pretty much to order soon. Needless to say I was so disappointed and ready to leave. But it being so late, sucked it up. Came here for the sword fish that apparently they no longer serve as their menu had changed. After ordering, I did voice my concerns about the loud music and thankfully they changed it. I was able to enjoy my late night dinner with my husband. We ordered the Kataifi shrimp as an appetizer. They were medium sized served with a spicy tangy sauce. They were very delicious. For my main course I ordered the American red snapper which was also a unique dish as it was served on a corn husk with rice and beans. 3 whole crawfish, a corn and cold salsa verde sauce on the side of the dish. All was delicious except they should have served the salsa verde sauce warm instead of cold. It was still a delicious dish. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which was also delicious. It was served with a side of green beans, puréed potatoes with a foie gras gravy. They have a descent drink menu. I ordered the Friendswood 75 which was a little too sweet for my liking and my husband ordered the Gin and tonic. They didn't have Sapphire so he opted for the Tanqueray. They have mastered all aspects of a quality establishment: excellent execution and service by the staff, solid output of food, a clean and inviting ambiance for all groups, and at decent prices for a casual meal or even a date. The vibe is modern and contemporary, which makes this place both casual and date friendly. There is just enough seating options (indoor and outdoor) to feel spacious, yet also intimate at the same time. The bar offers a nice view of the open kitchen, and a small TV. Love the framed art pieces and the uber clean restrooms. While their woodfired oven cooked pizzas don't resemble anything from NY, they still manage to stand out on their own. The margherita looks the part, which is thankfully nothing like the nearby competition. The elote crema is a fun spin, the busy bee is a hearty option, and the banhmizza shouldn't work yet they've managed to pull it off. The consistency has been an issue in the past, with some that feel overly doughy, feature a less than cooked undercarriage, or an overly charred bubbly edge. Thankfully it hasn't deterred my visits in the slightest. Where there are pizzas, there are pastas and they are just as popular. The brie alfredo is a colorful and indulgent option, as is the 5 cheese mac with crunchy quinoa on top. Their totally baked bolognese is very tasty, but the short rib ragu has been the go-to dish overall. I would be remiss if I didn't mention their cocktails, which are simple but quite nice. The root beer old fashioned is potent and sweet, while the girlfriend is a nice blend of gin and elderflower liqueur with floral additions such as rosewater, hibiscus, finished with lemon and egg white. The lychee sour is also an easy one to love, while sweet tooths might love the bedrock cocktail and it's fruity pebbles infused vodka. Lastly, the staff is very on it from all aspects of service. I admire how professional they've been with every meal and give major kudos to the Asian ownership for a job well done. This is an excellent spot. ___________ (#1) Queens.

Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the pizza is always as good as I remember it. I had the Bolognese for the first time this visit and it was delicious.
