My boss was in town and we were working in the area. We missed lunch so we had a late lunch/early dinner around 3pm on a Wednesday. Ordering counter service was easy and user-friendly. Staff was courteous and professional. My boss ordered a hamburger and I ordered the seafood platter. I was floored by the INCREDIBLY reasonable prices for a seafood place. The food was also fresh and well prepared. I definitely want to return to this place again when I'm in the neighborhood. Someone on here was complaining about being charged for refills. We placed an order for catfish and shrimp. It was enough to feed about 50 people. When we arrived they offered to help load up our vehicle with the food trays. The size of the fish was very generous and I think we likely ordered too much. These are true, long filets and not the cheap half filets you see elsewhere. They also kept the skin on, so that gave it extra flavor. We also had some sides, mainly coleslaw. They make it the perfect way -- not too much vinegar and very airy and refreshing with the catfish. The inside is very small and it's located in a neighborhood that is older. I probably wouldn't want to spend long hours at the restaurant due to the small seating, but it might be worth it in order to sample the food fresh from the restaurant! read more

I started having lunch at Lighthouse in 1988 and I am still going for dinner after all these years because it has never changed from the great food they offered. The steak burger and the double meat cheeseburgers are great. The service I love that they take your order fast and you get your get your food made in 5 minutes. This is my 2nd time eating here and I actually enjoy the food. The fried shrimp is really good and fresh. The hammers going to win an award for best in town but it's a lot better than some and you looked this place up for seafood anyway. Stuffed shrimp are huge the fries and onion rings are good. This is definately a hole in the wall place. The fish was good and the oysters & shrimp excellent. I wasn't too fond of the stuffed crab. I had the seafood platter, my dad had the 1 fish 3 shrimp plate. We got out of there for under $20 - including drinks. It was my first time there and wasn't busy at all for dinner at 5 pm. Driving towards 45, if you have never been there you will most likely miss the place. The strip mall is setup like 1 side of a Y, but with the \ of the Y missing, so it's around the corner. I can't say I have any complaints with this place, as every time I've came in to get my food, both the person at the front counter and the meal was perfect. The service here is superb and you can tell the lower group of workers put a lot of passion into their job. Expect the fish you get to be fresh of out the fryer and very affordable when compared to other fish places. The menu is pretty large if you or somebody you bring with you isn't too fond of fish either, but this place really got me into my seafood habit. Give it a try if you're hesitant on it. read more

Called at 8:30 pm on Sunday and no answer. On Yelp it says they are open till 10 pm. On their menu board it says they are open till 9pm on Sunday. A seafood platter (1 fish, 1 stuffed crab, 3 shrimps,and 2 oysters) with only set you back $6.99! The food always taste great, the fries are always hot and piled high, and you can customize your meal in an endless amount of ways! No pickles? No problem! No onions? No problem! The staff was quick, kind, and friendly. My boyfriend and I each got an order of fried shrimp, large pieces of catfish, crinkle fries, cole slaw, and buttered toast. What a deal! The portion is huge and it was really, really inexpensive. Most importantly, it was delicious! The cornmeal breading made the fish juicy and soft in the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. I love good fried shrimp. Unfortunately I just found out I actually love great fried shrimp. The 12 piece butterfly shrimp meal with fries was good, just not good enough. There was plenty to eat, I just didn't want any more. Prices are very reasonable but don't expect a great meal. If all you want is a cheap filling seafood dinner, than this is your place.
