The restaurant is definitely Instagram-worthy, with a cute aesthetic and plenty of spots to snap pictures. We visited after a graduation, and they were very accommodating with our large group. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the high reviews for me. I ordered the habanero short ribs, which were just decent. Some pieces were fatty, others were tough, and there was a sweeter flavor than I expected. My husband's fajitas were also just okay and seemed borderline overcooked. I also got the sense they may have been understaffed, because it took a very long time for our food to come out. The biggest misses for me were the extremely watery salsa and hard, flavorless chips. To end on a high note, the drinks were very good, and I would definitely recommend stopping in for cocktails.

Tequila 45 was not all at what I expected. Inside is very fancy, but family friendly. The staff are very accommodating. There's lots of space inside, so it's ideal for big gatherings. For those who love to drink (not me), like their name suggests, Tequila 45 has a full bar and a vast selection of wine and margaritas. Their food was the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had. I can tell they use great quality ingredients in their dishes. Their tortillas are served steaming hot from the oven! Tequila 45 really stands out with some of their unusual menu items like Alfredo pasta, burgers, mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, Creme Brulé, puddings, pork chops, Pineapple Sunshine (basically Pineapple upside down cake), and Cinnamon Butter Cake. I personally liked that you can choose what rice you want, instead of just having only Spanish rice. Tequila 45 does have a lunch special and they even serve breakfast! They're open every day and yes, they take reservations. Downsides: Our waitress took a long time getting our orders, and they weren't even busy! Everything on their menu is expensive. Even the prices on their appetizers and desserts are outrageous! The rice on my plate wasn't cooked evenly. I would only come here for special occasions. Note: Tequila 45 no longer makes Nutella CAKE, they now serve Nutella PUDDING instead.

Walked in around 9pm, waitress at front entrance with no greet. Waited for like 2 min for her to notice we were standing at door for table. John was our waiter. It was our first time and his service was okay, would've like to been offered any recommendations for appetizers/ entrees. Didn't feel like how a waiter should serve a table it very straight forward. We picked the calamari for appetizer but like 2 min after we called John to change it to the seafood empanadas and he had acted like we couldn't change our appetizer. I would've understood if it was like 10 min after we ordered them but we quickly grabbed him right after to change it. He eventually did. It was just weird for him to act like he couldn't do it at first. We ordered Lamb chop, and pollo Del Mar which was fine 8/10 flavor. 2/10 for the portions. 3 asparagus and a scoop a mash potatoes which was insane for the price. We didn't get dessert since John didn't really recommend good options just asked. We got our check and realized John didn't take off the calamari so we had to fix the issue and he said " lucky yall are still here " like sir that's not how you address your guest that you forgot to take something off the bill basically overcharging them. This place is more get drinks and enjoy music. Not for food service.

Decided to check out the closest restaurant to our hotel and it didn't disappoint. Staff was friendly from the door. It was a busy Saturday night but we found seats at the bar. Close enough to hear the live band but far enough away so we could have a conversation. Drinks were tasty. Food hit the spot. There was a lot of cheese which I didn't mind but my sister could've done with a little less.

I came by for lunch recently. Very cute and clean restuarant. Staff was nice upon entry. Vanessa took care of me. I ordered the chicken fluatas. They were good came with Mexican rice and beans. Beans had a smokiness to them which were nice. I do wish the salsa was not so thin, but everyone's style is different. I did notice they have happy hour from 1-6 so if you are flying in to Hobby airport awaiting hotel or Airbnb check in I suggest stopping by. Prices and offerings were good. They had a $6 Mangonada with my name on it, but unfortunately I was working. Will definitely drop by if in the area.

Can't speak more highly of this place. We just flew in and were staying at the Springhill next door. We had a long day and wanted some beers and food. They told us the kitchen was closed but we were able to order beers. As we were drinking our beers they accommodated us and let us order food to go. Just amazing and above and beyond service! We ordered some tacos and there were delicious! I didn't get the names of the ladies serving us, but they were fantastic! Highly recommend!

A Must-Visit Dining Experience in Houston! One of the greatest things about this restaurant is... well, everything! Let's start with what we all come for -- the food. From the lamb to the fish, and even the salsa served with the chips -- every bite was incredible. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The drinks? Fantastic. Honestly, I'd recommend ordering a little bit of everything just to experience how consistently amazing this place is across the board. Service That Sets the Standard The service here is outstanding. I've been twice now, and both times the team has impressed me. The manager personally came by our table to check in -- not just out of obligation, but out of genuine care. You don't have to go searching for a manager here; they're already out front making sure your experience is top-notch. That kind of proactive hospitality is rare and deserves major praise. Decor, Ambiance & Photo-Ready Vibes The decor is fabulous -- stylish, vibrant, and full of character. It's the perfect backdrop for selfies or those who live for the 'gram. As an amateur photographer, I'll admit I was tempted to turn the whole place into a photo shoot. Every corner has charm and energy that complements the dining experience beautifully. The Atmosphere: Day or Night, It Works During the day, the atmosphere is family- and friend-friendly -- great for brunch or a laid-back meal. But come evening, it transforms into one of Houston's go-to spots for a night out. Its proximity to nearby hotels makes it a convenient and inviting option for travelers looking for great food, good drinks, and a lively yet welcoming vibe. If I ever have a long layover in Houston, this will be my first stop. The combination of food, service, and atmosphere makes it one of those rare places you keep thinking about long after you've left. Trust me -- this spot is a must.

If you are looking for an authentic yummy dinner spot this is the place! The food was filling and SCRUMPTIOUS. The server was nice but the server didn't speak much English. It was really confusing. Also the decor was super pretty and colorful! Definitely come here. churros were the most delicious divine scrumdiddlyumptious thing I've ever

Food was amazing!! Tried the Chili Von Queso Echiladas... Place is gorgeous and service was superb.

Very beautiful space, food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately service didn't meet my standards. The guy kept forgetting to bring back what we asked for. And when we would tell him it looked like he would get upset. Two other guys did approach us one looked like he was a manager and they were just super nice and respectful. Once our waiter noticed he was talking to us his whole vibe changed and ended up bringing what he kept forgetting like tortillas, limes, or waters. Overall I do plan on going back and giving it another try.

I was nervous about this place being so close to Hobby Airport, but it is truly little gem of an oasis. Apparently this spot has existed almost a year, but I just recently heard of it As I drove up I was impressed by the exterior layout and decor. It is modern, vibrant, and you definitely see the Latin themes As I walked through the door I was astonished with how trendy the interior is. Each section and room is almost a little work of art with murals, Hispanic decor, chandeliers, etc. in the lobby there is a pair of neon wings you can pose with. The attention to detail is mesmerizing. The chairs and glassware even have the restaurants name etched or cut into them The staff was attentive and professional. The menu has all sorts of delectable texmex dishes, and the drink menu is extensive Some tips: Come for happy hour. It lasts for several hours and while the menu isn't huge, there are a lot of great and affordable drinks and eats Cheers!!

First and foremost parking can be a challenge so park on one of the off streets and walk over. The hospitality was amazing. Very cordial, casual, friendly - I never once asked for a refill. My cup was full before I got to a quarter glass. We did the waffle breakfast and literally everything was spectacular, the eggs, the sausage, waffle was crunchy on the surface with fluffy innards. The other part that struck me was how diverse it was. There were maybe a dozen people outside waiting to be seated of all shapes, colors, and sizes. When we were gallivanting around the greater Houston area, I was thinking cowboy boots and 40 gallon hats. Instead we got chuck Taylor's and booty shorts. I was like okay, this is my vibe. Baby Barns is a really cozy, kinda tight place. It's not a place you wanna take a party of more than 4 or 5. But if you're hungry and in need of a shopping break or want something a little less commercial then Baby B's is the spot, especially if you don't wanna wait in the Breakfast Klub line until Thanksgiving. But the area surrounding it is beautiful, old timey southern homes with those signature front porches and white painted facades and even comes with cobblestone streets: it's southern Charm with a little gentrification. This is in a diverse neighborhood where all types are welcome so if you're not into "That Kinda stuff" you're probably just better off at Cracker Barrel. But if you want genuine, organic vibes, and friendly banter. Baby Barnaby's is the spot!

The food & drinks quickly came out, which is always greatly appreciated when dining with kids. The chicken was a generous portion and juicy. The butter had a unique flavor and paired well with the chicken. The pancake and waffle were also big portions. The latte was sweet and well balanced. The manager came around checking on us and was very attentive when I needed to request an extra cup of hot water for our tea. The floral wall decor and light fixture gives such a cozy vibe. Portions are large/filling and we felt the food was delicious and a good value for money. When we arrived the line was long and menus were not available so we had to search for the menu on the website to avoid deciding at the counter and holding up the people behind us. After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

You stand in line, order and pay first, and the you get a table. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a table because the dinning room was packed but as soon as I finished ordering, a few tables cleared up. This is southern style breakfast at its best!!! The food came out quickly. I ordered the fried catfish dish that came with two eggs, a biscuit, and grits. The biscuit was delicious, making it ag great accompaniment to the dish. The fried catfish was very flavorful and the crispy batter clung to the fish perfectly, preventing it from falling apart. I enjoyed my meal a lot and would definitely order it again, despite feeling a bit heavy and bloated afterward. Great establishment. I highly recommend trying this place at least once. Note: There's hardly any parking in front of the entrance but there's more parking across the street by the building with the closed down catering company. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. The bomboloni was so good, but I think maybe I am just used to the crunch of cannoli with a creamy ricotta filling. The Nutella item was fine, it just wasn't my style of pastry. I'm not sure what the norm is, but it was frigid inside. I would've loved to see some tables outside and thaw out, but they didn't have any outside seating. Parking can be challenging on weekends, but there is complimentary valet and a few extra spots in a lot across the street. There's interior and exterior seating, with cozy booths and tables. Service is friendly. Chips and salsa: Superica has some of my favorite chips, crispy and thin and perfectly fried. The avocado crema salsa and warm serrano pepper salsas are delicious with a mild kick. The bottled red salsa is fresh and green salsa packs a nice punch. Migas: Scrambled eggs with tortilla chips and cheese, choice of chicken versus chorizo on top, finished with fresh avocado. I really enjoyed this combination and the generous portion for the price. The eggs are well scrambled without being dry, and the pairing with cheese is proportional. The chicken was a touch dry, but some salsa solved that well. I enjoyed stuffing each component into a fresh tortilla and devouring it as a breakfast taco. Refried beans and rice: Really delicious. The refried beans are of the smoother variety without as much chunkiness, which I prefer, and topped with creamy cheese. I could have used a touch more tomato in the rice, but overall enjoyed the texture and flavor. Patatas with salsa roja, topped with egg: I enjoyed the flavors in this dish, but there was sooo much salsa. The potatoes were thus a little soggy, though still cooked well. The over medium egg was cooked nicely and complemented the potatoes with creamy yolk. Bacon: Really generous portion for $7 as a side, and cooked well. Crispy potatoes: I enjoy that these are fingerling potatoes smashed and roasted, but they could be crispier. They seem to be on the blander side on purpose to allow seasoning to taste, and I really like pairing them with the red bottled salsa provided at each table (probably due to their association with ketchup). Hotcakes: The literal star of every brunch, these hotcakes are consistently delicious. They're massive yet somehow cooked perfectly through so that they're fluffy and soft on the inside and just with a slight crunch on the outside. The pairing of the creamy warm (!!!) maple syrup is heavenly. Because of how huge these are, usually one is enough to share between two people, although they also come in stacks of two and three. For reference, we finished 3/4 of three between four healthy and hungry people and it wasn't for lack of trying. Whenever I crave weekend brunch, Superica is always a top option.

We'd both experienced Flying Biscuit in Atlanta and had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it fell flat. I ordered the eggs Benedict. And what can I say? I hate to be critical but honestly there was nothing good about this meal except the fact that it was edible. The eggs came out raw/extremely runny. I've had eggs Benedict many times and I understand how it can be difficult to prepare. But it shouldn't be raw. When I let them know, they brought me back basically like a boiled egg, which is also not eggs Benedict lol. The hollandaise sauce was also not the best. Hard to describe why but was kind of lackluster. Next came the grits. Grits were kind of pasty. Maybe because I'm from the south and know what they should taste like if you're gonna call them "creamy". They were also overly salted along with the potatoes that I got instead of the grits. Potatoes were not really seasoned, but just salty. So overall, I was kind of disappointed with my experience here. As I mentioned, the food was edible. The bread that the Benedict came on was pretty good. It may be that this is just something I shouldn't order here. Maybe I should've went with the biscuits! We'll see if we end up trying it again.
