Great customer service & really good food. I ordered a Coronado (coffee) and veggie omelette, adding sausage. Exactly what I was looking for! It's a rainy morning and they even prepared a hot chocolate for my son, refusing to let me pay for his. This will be my go-to whenever I'm in the area!!!

Both sandwiches were delicious! They came with a side of some sort of hot sauces. One was a green (tomatillo?) type and the other was a fiery orange (habanero?) Even though I could only handle a few drops of the latter, both sauces complimented the sandwiches well. And the regular sized Cuban was huge! I regretted not ordering a second mini instead, as it was actually also larger than I'd expected. My mother ordered the same Cuban sandwich but also a side of the plantains. The description said they were fried, and I saw a misleading image online from a guest that lead me to believe they were breaded. However, the ones we were given had no breading (which I didn't mind, honestly) and were coated in what I think was cinnamon and sugar. It was a lovely little dessert. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I will return for more food in the future!

My honest opinion! Food is just ok! Over priced, $6.35 for a cafe con leche, simple breakfast 3 eggs potato's and 1 small sausage for $8.25 no way! To me is more like $5-6 and coffee like $3.50 to be real. But today is the last time, a bug in my coffee! This place need to be inspected by the city. ASAP! UNACCEPTABLE.

Looking for a nice little hole in the wall place for breakfast before heading out of town I saw this Cuban spot along the way that fit the bill and was a great choice. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, dimly lit, relaxing for enjoying a good coffee and warm first meal of the day. The owner explained how she orders Cuban bread straight from Miami, and it shows in the quality of their sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich with turkey was delish, as was the French toast my hub and I split; our cafe con leches were rich and creamy. During our meal in the dining room they had no shortage of patrons coming in to pick up orders, so it's definitely a hot spot for locals. This place checks all the boxes... go show them some love! read more

Had the Cuban sandwich with fries -- came out fast and was really good. Everything tasted fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. The kicker? It was dirt cheap. $12 with a drink. Jesus. Great food, great price, great pace. Can't ask for much more than that. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. read more

What a hidden gem! Cant believe there is a cuban cafe here in deer park! I absolutely LOVE this place. Ever since i first came I was hooked on their iced cafe con leche and breakfast sandwiches. We were so excited when we heard about this place. It is a very small store front that is behind a drive up Subway joint. It will be to your left. Don't worry you can't miss the big yellow day glow sign that reads: Cuban Cafe. The sign is as straight forward as their simple "decor" is. Check out the pictures. We both had the Cuban sandwiches which were awesome and rivals those we have had in The Orlando area. The portions were large and we left stuffed. We also ordered the fried Yuca and 2 very tasty empanadas. We ordered the empanadas more to check out what the rave was all about. My was the guava and cheese which was worth fighting over. Honestly before today, im the type to sweeten my coffee with at least 4 splendas to like drinking coffee to my surprise I actually love strong coffee. This is by far my favorite place in all of the Houston area to eat as well as get the best coffee. This location in particular has always been evolving, from their menu to restaurant layout. If you're ever in the area, whether it's breakfast time, lunch or dinner, there is always more than a handful of great sandwiches and dishes to choose from. And of course, the coffee. Great local spot with a friendly staff. I opted for the beef plate and cafe con leche to go. The beef was tender and moist served over rice. I appreciate the container used to separate all of the food. The yucca was especially good. I've never had yucca with a seasoned salt or whatever seasoning they used on it. No complaints from me. I live in Los Angeles, California. I travel lot for work, I eat in many places. I've been to Cuba, been to Miami many times. The place and atmosphere is awesome. Cuddos to the little hole in the wall. Food: I ate the ropa vieja sandwich because full plates are not severed on weekends. Bread is good, the meat needs more time to be tender, it was kinda hard, the flavor was too much, too salty but overall ok. Also ate the picadillo empanas and It's too much salt and empanas are small. Black Coffee was more like water but traditional diner cafe. They are trying very hard and I would eat here again, maybe but they to hire some Latino or Cuban cooks. Or people of color running a Cuban restaurant. The person I went with got a chicken vieja sandwich and he thought it was good, also his first time ever eating Cuban food. Overall great potential for the taste and flavors in the food. read more

So, I was starving one day and just needed something quick and easy to eat. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. I got a hot hazelnut latte, which was very good, but be careful, it's HOT. Then I had gotten 5 different empanadas. OMG they were all so good! I love this place! The food is delicious and you can't go wrong with a single menu item. The sandwiches are especially good, standouts are the Cuban and Ropa Vieja. The empanadas are also very good and authentic. The service is excellent and very friendly. It is family owned and operated and it shows, very nice people. I just stopped in for coffee and a small snack to go since I haven't ate today and it's almost 1 pm. I ordered the cortado and a picadillo empanada. Both were absolutely delicious. The empanada crust was light and flaky and the filling was flavorful. I do not live in the area but this place isn't too far off the route from my husband's place of work. I will definitely have to have him pick up something else to try on his way home one day. read more

Ordered early breakfast for delivery, about 6am, and I'm very glad I did! I got the mini breakfast sandwich! It was cooked perfectly, the bread & temp was perfect! I got a side of the potatoes as well, they were absolutely delicious! Perfect breakfast side! & I got a cafe con leche with extra espresso. It got here hot & the flavors of this coffee are so good. I prefer dark coffee & espresso drinks so this was perfect for my taste! I will definitely be coming in to try other items in person. read more

A classic revuelta melted cheese and chicharrón oozing out of a perfectly griddled corn masa pocket. Comfort food, plain and simple. Only downside The fries. They were undercooked, a little limp.
