When you are called "The Brisket House" in Texas you have to bring it. And I can say that it delivers. The brisket was moist and had that sweet smokiness. The ribs were a bit on the dry side but tasty. Sauce was a bit on the ketchup side so definitely get it on the side. Wife had the smoked chicken wings. She loved the smoke bark they had. The cream corn was delicious, also the smoked beans. Corn bread was tasty, but I would had loved some honey with it. Wife really liked the banana pudding so give it a try. Service was fast and friendly. It's a stand up and order type of place, no waitress. The ambience is really a hall with chairs and tables. It looks like they just took over from a restaurant from the 90s and never touched the decor. They did put some big Texas flags so C, and you know what they say C's get degrees! Good and definitely a recommendation.

It was okay , not what I expected from a Texas bbq spot. Brisket was cold/luke warm service was ok but the blue eyed girl was intimidating lol. Location was cool looking but wish the food was a little better flavor wise also meat did not have a visible smoke ring fairly priced but definitely take that meat to flavor town and make sure it's nice and hot specially when the restaurant had just opened.

I have been coming to this Brisket House location for 7 years. It has always been consistently good, the service is friendly and it's clean. Today, I had the turkey and bacon salad with Italian dressing. The ingredients are always fresh, and it has quite a bit of turkey on it. If you're feeling more adventurous, try the PB&J sandwich, but I recommend cutting it into quarters. Otherwise, you're likely to make a mess like I did. Lol

This is some of the best brisket in Houston. Maybe even the best. The price is a bit on the expensive side, but I don't think you will find better brisket for less. I ordered pound and a half. They gave me the more fatty brisket, which I'm fins with. I'm sure you could ask for lean if you want. It's $14 for a half pound. They gave me a bunch of pickles, onions, and bread to go with it. The sauce was ok, not my favorite. I would definitely check this place out if you enjoy bbq.

Food was well prepared and delivered via Door dash. I have not been in the restaurant, but it looks like a nice place from the outside. Looking forward to eating there soon and ordering the same plate.

This place is extremely clean ! Fast service. Their food presentation is amazing and I can say it was just as good. The brisket was juicy and tender cooked to perfection. The turkey had a great smoked taste and the mild sausage was really good too. The one star missing is the sides because their mustard potato salad tasted like it's store bought and their Mac and cheese was mid too. Another thing, I like a lot of pickles and onions with my bbq and the portion that came with my plate was small. Overall the food was great ! Give this place a try!

This is an awesome place to eat bbq at. The brisket is great, just the right tenderness and fatty content. The bbq sauce is peppery and sweet just the way I like it. Cole slaw and potato salad are a must. The corn bread was unexpectedly awesome. Friendly service and staff. They typically take about 10-15min to bring out your food. Always busy and parking is small so be patient. It's worth it! Go with your colleagues, go with your friends or go with the family or just go by yourself but try this place!

Me and my niece weren't staying too far from this restaurant so we decided to check it out while we were in Houston. When we walked in, we were never greeted or acknowledged so that was a bummer. The cashier and I just kind of stared at each other until I started ordering my food. We ended up ordering the 3 meat platter with brisket, turkey, and St. Louis style ribs, w sides of mac and cheese and green beans to share. That meat was the turkey and brisket were phenomenal. Seasoned well, smoky and tender, really just cooked to perfection. I can't lie, the ribs were pretty good. The Mac and cheese was not. It was pretty much velveeta and macaroni noodles. Nothing special. The green beans were good. Just needed some seasoning. We also ordered a banana pudding for dessert and it was also a 10 out of 10!

    Done! Great stuff!

The food is excellent. Meats cooked perfect- not over seasoned or over brined or greasy. Very clean and flavorful. The sides potato salad excellent. Green beans need a pinch of salt. The ambiance is exactly what it needs to be- well done, functional, and very clean. (Bathroom could be cleanest I have ever seen). The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. I eat a lot of BBQ across Texas- this place hidden gem. Highly recommend

Food: Enticing to the eyes, fresh, and quality is top notch. I definitely recommend. You get more for your money the average cost per person dinner was 34. Service: Our first time here to the "mountain " and I must say we were met with smiles and courtesy by the manager/owner. Waitress who sat our party was friendly . Our waiter who was Derrick, was so knowledgeable on the menu and was prompt in checking in on us. He really made our experience one in which we will come back! Ambiance: How can you not love Pikachu. Enough said but the overhead star lighting on the ceiling combines with the sports like TV's, the bar area was nice to sit and eat. If you order from bar they will grill you proteins prior to bringing out. Guest Centerpoint table grill was clean also had spray oil, staff made rounds frequently to change out the centerpoint grill for a fresh one. I observed them cleaning a section after guest departed inwhich included a wiping down of the entire seats top and bottom and back ( wow impressive!!). It's not only a family oriented restaurant, but if you only want to go have drinks maybe watch the Game this is the SPOT to be. Final: I never ate Japanese food where it was brought raw (AI robot) and we were able to grill it. I must say Yama Kitchen where have you been all my life? They do have a buffet station with a decent selection. They had mixed seafood (crawfish, muscles, and shrimp), a few soup options, lots of fried foods, and salads. They don't have a big variety of meat selections compared to other KBBQ spots. We did try most of the meats and they all tasted just about the same, it was nothing really special. The sashimi was okay, it came out a bit warmer than what I expected. Overall I would rate this place a 6.5/10. **Note: my brother did say the food here destroyed his stomach!

It is rare that I award five stars. In this case, I'm awarding six! ;-)…read more SmokeAholics is a La Porte-based food truck that's been in business for about a year. Their specialty is barbecue, and they do it extremely well. I first had the pleasure of sampling their goods at an event (from their food truck); and they recently catered an event that I attended. Outstanding both times! This mom & pop business relies on post oak to smoke their succulent fall-apart brisket, sausage, boudin and beans, and they have the time and temperature down to a science (their slogan is "It's 225 degrees somewhere.") For folks who are versed in the art and science of smoking meats (and beans in this case), 225F is the holy grail of temperatures. That the pit master (Charlie Spencer) can manage it in the rear of a trailer is quite amazing! So many people can bring smoky flavor to a trimmed brisket, but it ends up being dry. Charlie though... Oh my! He somehow manages to produce an outstanding smoky bark with nary an ounce of fat -- yet it melts in your mouth. Barbecue sauce is available, but don't bother. His brisket deserves to shine on its own. So too do the sides. Charlie's wife, Carla Spencer, is in charge of producing most of the delicious accoutrements, which are meals themselves. Her homemade mac & cheese gets there for the cash on its own. But when it's fried and placed atop fries ... Eureka! Her 'Momma's Crackers' are tangy and spicy enough to make one want to slap their pappy! And yes, I want some. -- Perhaps one of the more creative sides is Charlies "Apple Pie Baked Beans," which are available through the catering menu. It's a hybrid of apple pie, breakfast sausage and post oak-smoked beans. Not only is it out-of-the-box, it's damn delicious! These folks offer their wonderful food in La Porte (check the address), but they also cater all over. Just as important, in my humble opinion, Charlie and Carla give back to the community in a huge way. Sure, they are the kind of folks you'd invite to your home because they're just nice. But they do so much more in mentoring local youngsters and volunteering their time (and services) to make the day a little brighter -- and tastier -- for cancer survivors. It's really cool when I am able to recommend a business that is superb at what it does and just as outstanding when it comes to giving back. SmokeAholics is one of those businesses.
