I stopped by for lunch with some co-workers recently, and we had a nice time. I'd never been to Bubba's 33, and it really is just a sports bar-style restaurant. Plenty of booths, tvs with sporting events playing, a fully stocked bar, plenty of apps, entrees and drinks to choose from The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The interior and exterior were clean, well lit, and had fun decor. The menu offers your typical burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, sandwiches, steak, desserts, appetizers, etc My co-workers all got burgers as the offered quite the selection of burgers, but I had a salad, and I was pleasantly surprised an impressed. I had the crispy chicken salad, and it was hearty, fresh, and flavorful We didn't order drinks, but it looks like they have fun and vibrant cocktails to choose from. I might have to come back for happy hour Some tips: We went on a a Monday, and it looks like every Monday (all day) you can get any of their burgers for $10.99. They have a rewards program, and if you signup now you can get a free 12-inch pizza with any purchase of an adult entree. Came to bubba for a friend birthday. It was my first time eating at this establishment and it has a chill atmosphere. The restaurant was lively and the staff were attentive and nice. There is a huge menu selections and I opted for the shrooms burger with fire fries. The burger was decent and I enjoyed the fire fries. However I knocked off a couple stars because my friend ordered the ribeye steak and it took the chef 4 tries to finally cook it correctly. The steak is as pretty thin hence it was probably hard to cook it medium rare. Not only that, the steak didn't taste seasoned and it was tough and bland. Definitely don't order a steak here. However I hear from my other friends the pizza at bubba's is good though. The manager said she would take care of my friend since my friend had a bad experience with the steak but when the bill came the manager didn't "take care" of it. I had to tell the server which was another inconvenience. Overall the manager and staff were trying their best but the chef back there needs to learn how to cook a steak because it was just awful. read more

First time trying this location in Pasadena, Texas. Fell in love with the location in Tyler so when I saw this one we had to try it. It was a Friday night so this place was hopping. Being a party of two however, we were seated right away. Great atmosphere and the staff were great. I ordered the lasagna this time. It was pretty good and came with toasted focaccia bread. It is a large serving and I couldn't finish all of it. The only hiccup was the lack of silverware at the table. Our server Tucker was very friendly and she was very helpful with everything we needed. Having passed by Bubba 33 countless times, we decided to stop by for lunch. It is conveniently located off of the tollway. There is plenty of parking onsite. First impressions are a sports bar vibe. Being a huge sports fan, I had no trouble fitting in. There are a ton of TVs everywhere. Having researched their email club and promos, I was excited to score a free pizza with the purchase of a burger, sandwich, or dinner menu item. The first question they asked us was, "Is this your first time here?" This is great that they are making sure to take care of their first-time guests for that first impression. The waitress immediately greeted us and clarified that we were first-time guests. We made a drink order and ordered that free 1 topping pizza, which was a genoa salami topping. The pizza had a stone fired oven taste, which was extremely delicious. The crust seemed to be dusted with a garlic butter, which really enhanced the flavor! We were informed that the Monday special was $9.99 burgers. I opted for the single patty cheeseburger, and my wife got her favorite kind of burger anywhere, which was a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. The burgers came with seasoned or fire fries, and the burgers come with "bubba" sauce. We got the fire fries, and they were what I describe as cajun seasoned, possibly with some cayenne pepper. I would describe the bubba sauce, which I got on the side as very similar to other concepts's signature sauces. My only issue our visit was that they were out of the $4 PBR beer special. I asked if they would sub something else, and she exclaimed, "I don't know?" I didn't pursue it any further. Oh well, lol. Overall, great atmosphere, food, and service. The food to start off was absolutely terrible just after the appetizers we all felt sick. The buffalo pizza falls apart from grease and was just terrible. The smash burger was inedible to someone who eats just about anything. Everything tasted like it was doused in grease and after makes you feel like your going into cardiac arrest. The service was terrible too our server didn't give two craps about her tables at all we were a larger party but she would go to her other tables and completely ignore our table for almost 45 minutes. We had a spill and as we were cleaning it up we had 3 servers just staring at us and we asked for a rag to clean it up and the bus boy brought one and just stood there until i grabbed the rag from him. Spills happen and we will clean it up but we can't if the servers won't even given us something to clean it. The service overall was horrendous and the food is trash save yourself and go somewhere else. We will never return which is sad because the waco location was actually decent but this one is ran terrible. read more

Food was amazing! Chicken wings are large & delicious! Highly recommend Raspberry Chipotle. Burgers are mouthwatering. Onion Rings are amazing! Make sure you get the full plate, you won't regret it! We asked twice and never heard from him. After waiting 20 minutes we asked our waiter once and he had it changed but the game just ended :/ We were stand in the bar area, the ambiance was like a bar. Love the food! Haven't tried anything I don't like. I usually go for the wings and the burgers- can't forget the fire fries! They are more zesty than spicy but definitely a great seasoned fries!! Bubbas sauce is very similar to the chick fil a sauce and pairs great with the fries, onion rings and fried pickles. I personally get the boneless wings and they are not heavily breaded you get a good amount of chicken with each piece. The basic flavors like teriyaki, bbq, garlic Parmesan are good but my personal favorites are the shotgun and raspberry chipotle! Everyone is friendly, I always sit at the bar and majority of bartenders are attentive. Beer is always cold! I love margaritas but sometimes they are hit or miss I think the sour mix is too tart sometimes and they taste really weak. But that's my only negative thing to say about it all, the food makes up for it. read more

This was our 1st time trying this place out. 1st issue was there was a lot of things I wanted to try but I asked the waitress what was the best out of the 4 things I couldn't pick from. settled on a sunrise burger and loaded fires. The fries where great and the burger was one of the best around. My only complaint was they put a toothpick in the bun on a runny rag so it was already busted open. The service was average. No problems, nothing worth writing home about. I'm okay with average. Brunch: Wow! The brunch menu was very reasonably priced. I saw lots of meals for $9. The portions (that I saw) are large. I had the Biscuits and Gravy Y'all. That's what it's called... My mom and sister both had the same thing. I don't remember what it's called, but it was like The Classic or something like that. I don't remember what all it came with, but I DO know that it had your choice of eggs, bacon, a biscuit, tater tots (which I think was a choice). Father's Day dinner, About 9pm on Sunday night Father's Day, first time here. We were seated right away, plenty of open tables. They try to sit us next to a group of 10 people drinking heavy, I have two small kids with me. Um no, I will take a different table please. After about 15 minutes of waiting and almost walking out, I went to the hostess and asked why no one has gone to our table to take drink orders. Waitress finally shows up, no explanation for the long wait. She was ok, not terrible, you can tell she's new to waitressing, everyone starts somewhere. She was nice. The food came out rather quick, my sons hot dog and fries looked pretty good, so did my daughters chicken tender basket. My wife and I split a pizza, it was surprisingly good. $50 plus tip for large pizza, two beers, two kids meals, it's ok. Overall the food was good, tables were nice and big, plenty of tv's. Check your receipt, they wanted to charge us for kids drinks, when they're already included in kid meal price. Great service You can get food anywhere, but service seems to be lacking at most places. I ordered the Aloha chicken, my sides were steamed broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes and a green side salad. Bubba's is one of my favorite spots in Pasadena. Everything is good! My friends & I come here quite often. Great sports environment. Pizza, wings, fries, burgers, shotgun shrimp, salad, it's all so good. We order & share a ton of food every time we come here because it's all so good! Service is always great. The onion rings are some of the best I have ever had (served with delicious ranch dressing) and the Bubba's nachos come with grilled chicken breast and chorizo sausage on them. Lots of TVs catch your attention in the casual Bubba's 33 & that's why I go there. All about the games, 'bout the games, no trouble! Service is usually on point so no issue there & Alaina behind the bar was quick & attentive. This time the issue was the food. I had the Fried Chicken Dinner (check my photos) which looked overcooked as it was placed in front of me. With fried foods you can tell when it's been left in the fryer too long & that's the 1st thing that caught my attention. The 2nd item was no brown gravy on the mashed taters. Oh, yeah, they don't serve it because they don't (or won't) make it. So much for choices. On the mashed, I prefer brown. Hey, it's my thing. I always ask for cream gravy on the side & all seemed well on that front until I tasted it. Really? Bland, hardly any taste but better than nothing to moisten the dry chicken breast. After a couple of bites, I walked to an open table to confiscate a bottle of ketchup. It was almost empty but got the last bit of red out of it. I was going to ask Alaina (very busy) for a new bottle but I went rogue to grab one. Only time no one was around to help me. Anyway, the dinner was a lackluster effort by the kitchen. Even the taters were meh. Brown gravy would've made them better. Should've ordered the cheeseburger w/o cheese. I don't care for cheese. It's my thing. This is one of the restaurants that we love in this area. It is kind of a sports bar/restaurant which, when busy in the evenings, can get a little loud, especially when local teams are playing. The wait staff has always been friendly and accommodating. We have always found the food to be excellent and plenty of it. While a lot of restaurants have quadrupled their prices, Bubba's has not gone up at the same rate. We went by today for a late lunch and were not disappointed. My wife had the Chicken Bacon Mac n Cheese with a salad, and I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Fire Fries. We shared an order of Big Ol' Rings. All of it was excellent, but we also want to mention Caleb, our waiter. He was exceptional. Without hovering nearby, he took care of all of our wants and needs, and always had a smile. On this particular visit we had a great experience with service. Food was mediocre. Chorizo Queso Dip - This was actually served hot. The temperature is always a hit or miss too and I'm always having to send it back. Chicken Tender Dinner - This breading reminded me of KFC original recipe.
