Based on Yelp and Google reviews I was expecting a bang for my buck. Unfortunately, my expectations were to set to high. The pizza order was correct but the dough was plenty and the cheese was rubbery. The chicken tender was the thickness of a highlighter. If I visit Houston again I'll have to give this place a hard pass. Oh yeah i almost forgot the condition of the pizza upon delivery. I think my pizza was dropped on it's side.
February 9th is National Pizza Day, a holiday for one of my all-time favorite food. Like Cinco de Mayo but for tequila. Cinco de Mayo is not a tequila holiday? Well that's news to me. What did I do on National Pizza Day? Pizza 1: I picked my kids favorite pizza which they have several times a week. I AM THAT MOTHER. I don't like whiney kids; just give them what they want. Little Caesar's, five dollar hot and ready's, are my favorite too because it leaves me with shopping money. Where can you feed a family of 4 on $11 and change? (I double dog dare you to find some other place for me) Pizza 2: I also picked a new pizza that a friend had just raved about on Facebook and just happen to be the same distance from us as our regular joint (LC) in a different direction, King's Pizza on Edgebrook, where three cities meet, Houston, South Houston, and Pasadena. (Come to think of it (LC is right on the border as well of the three cities, its complicated take my word for it) Put it on your calendar because if you keep up with the Chavez's, we never agree. NOT EVER, until today. We are not fans of King's Pizza. First of all, if all I am having on my pizza is pepperoni, it better have pepperoni in every bite. It was good, just didn't beat the cheaper version of Little Caesar's. The sauce wasn't as good either. That's just the food. Little C: No wait time it's hot and ready Kings Pizza: They said 10 minutes I was there 20 Little C: It may not be clean, what I don't know won't kill me, it looks clean King's Pizza: It looked filthy and smelled like truck stops restroom. (I provided a picture of the "employees only" door, it's the first thing you see when you walk in) Little C: I have never had a complaint about their service here, and we have been going for many, many, many years. King's Pizza: I wanted to get out of there so bad. All she had to do was close my pizza box and hand it to me but she answered the phone, left my pizza in the box with lid open, until she finished her two phone calls. TWO, 1 on her cell, and 2, a business call, phone on each ear. Multi-task earns you one star. The business call was a complaint about a delivery that had not arrived yet. The entire conversation I was thinking: "Just close the box and give it to me, close the box. Give me my ******* Pizza! I want to leave! NO STARS FOR YOU!" Hey, it's the hood and it has fantastic reviews from folks I am sure don't venture out to the better places in life. A few suggestions: Luna, Bombay, Piola, Dolce Vita, Your Pie (just a few) I am not like the rest and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all. A family that eats together stays together. My family of 4 will stick to our cheap 5 dollar hot and ready from Little Caesar's!
Great pizza from an unassuming strip mall pizza joint with doorknob menus. The menu features all the standard corner-store-pizza-joint fare. Hot wings, subs, pasta, appetizers, salads. The cheese is gooey and plentiful. We got a one topping large, our one topping was extra cheese. This pizza was almost too cheesy for my girlfriend, but I thought it was JUST right. We also ordered an extra cheese, beef, and pepperoni pizza. They put our toppings under the layer of extra cheese. We also got 20 hot wings, these wings were huge. Way bigger than any wings you may get from the top chain pizza places. The pizza was delicious, the crust was soft but very filling. I'd order from here over any of the chains. Now I don't have to go into the loop for good pizza. Been waiting for a good place in SE Houston. I reviewed Luciano's on the west side of 45 too. Not as impressive. This place is it. Like other reviewers have said, it's take out or delivery only. They have a few chairs for people waiting for pizza. They have enough room to put in two or three tables and a tv. But it's just empty space.
So today I was on Fairmont and my husband wanted some pizza. Normally we go to spankys, but today I looked on Yelp, and noticed this place had a better rating than spankys. So I decided to give them a try. Not only was it very reasonably priced, but it was so delicious. It wasn't too greasy , or too thick. It looked so fresh and it was just super delicious. Normally when I eat pizza, I usually feel bloated and it upsets my stomach. This pizza didn't make me feel that way. I'm so glad I stopped by and gave it a try. I will definitely be stopping by when we want pizza. No more spankys that's for sure.
This place is awesome. This place is a little hole in the wall for sure, but don't let stop you from ordering here. I was skeptical to try it at first I ordered the family deal which in all was a great deal wings, salad, pizza, pasta, and soda great deal. The wings were pretty dam good I tried the BBQ not hot next time I'll do hot. The pizza was amazing it really was and when it cooled down the cold pizza was just as good. All in all great. The salad left a little to be desired just run of the mill iceberg lettuce but I'm ordering pizza and didn't expect to be wowed by the salad lol. So the pasta it was ok what threw me off is that I ordered the chicken parmesan expecting chicken Alfredo lol my mistake ok pasta though. The soda was the icing on the cake Pepsi products but they were amazing lol jk it's just soda. But anyway don't let the location or the owners fool you. The reason I say the owners is I never expected Indian's or middle eastern descended people to make such good pizza. I'm not racist... well shit now I sound racist....well shit again nowadays who doesn't anyway great food great prices and great people. Buy you won't regret it.
This pizza has to be the best in the southeast. Even better than spankys. The owner Sharif is usually seen running the cashier or next door at the Corner store he owns. Better than any of the chain pizza places around. Prices are awesome. If you aren't feeling pizza try out one of their subs. Soooooo Good. Wings are huge and th XL pizza really lives up to its name.
Guys, the pizza is friggin' delicious. It's the real deal. I didn't know what to expect since there are absolutely no photos of the pizza anywhere on the internet or even inside the place. I kind of wanted to turn around and walk out as soon as I walked in, well, 'cause it's kind of a grim scene inside. It's not the most inviting place. To be fair, it's not a restaurant, so you'll either pick up or get it delivered. I'll post photos so you can get an idea of the pizza style. I got pepperoni, mushroom, and onion. Tip: maybe don't get the mushrooms. I think they use pickled mushrooms and I wasn't wild about that. Nonetheless, it's in my belly now, where it belongs. It's a great alternative to the chains we are usually forced to choose.
Wow! I'm amazed at how bad they messed up pizza. Me and my wife didn't want to cook and wanted to try something new so I check the reviews at yelp and king had mostly good reviews so we tried it. How is the pizza going to be burnt on the out side and saucy on the inside. I was like rest and said I will try it before I knock it but dam.... I should have listened to the reviews. I also ordered some wings and they were hard as f***. Yea that means they were old. Maybe when they get better management or something I'll go back.

I really liked this place. I ignored the lack of ac. I enjoyed the pizza the other guy is nice, but this guy really upset me. I asked him a simple question. I asked what they pay the pizza drivers. Easy right? Well he told me 8 dollars. So I informed him that door dash pays 14 a hour minimum plus tips. He then asked me what I wanted. I told him I was waiting for my pizza to be ready and left because that was a rude question. He followed me to fight with me in the other part of the store...this guy is ridiculous.... read more

Decent pizza, kind of soggy though. Maybe they're just having an off day? I ordered one x large with 3 toppings that they were kind of stingy with. Also tried the cheese bread, which was super weird. It's like a hoagie roll filled with cheese. Took well over an hour for delivery, but then again they were probably just busy. Spent $25 plus the $5 tip for one fairly underwhelming pizza, the cheese bread, and a 2 liter. read more

This pizza was phenomenal! I am giving four starts instead of five because the delivery did take more than the hour and the person handling the calls got the address wrong. But when the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious! A bit pricey, but worth it! I got the large sausage, ham, and half with bell peppers... GREAT COMBINATION! The crust was perfect and the cheese was amazing. This place needs more credit and needs to become more popular in Houston. King Pizza puts star pizza and spankys to shame! read more
