On Tuesdays we normally go to Bubba's for their pizza and wings. But tonight myself, my girlfriend and her daughter went to pipeline because I've been talking about pipeline forever. They tried it and really enjoyed everything , pizza and wings. We ordered 12 wings, buffalo and hot lemon pepper bone in. Ordered the special, two medium pizzas $5.99 apiece. Pretty much had the place to ourselves around opening on Saturday. Ordered a large Pipeline combination and a large spinach and artichoke. Pizza came out perfect, cheesy and crispy, a very nice surprise since usually we go to the other place across the street. Have to say coming from a meat lover, but that spinach and artichoke was the star. We ordered without the onions and it still delivered with this creamy freshness that popped at every bite. Hurricane Harvey took its toll on Pasadena, but I'll tell you that Pipeline Pizza was opening its doors to serve the people! We came here the Tuesday after Harvey, the first day that rain actually stopped falling! We were greeted by a super friendly staff ready to make pizza! We ordered pepperoni rolls, stuffed pizza rolls, a cheese pizza, and a custom pizza of my husband's choosing (and everything was around $40 which I don't think is too pricey for the whole lot of food we got). We got drinks, and wow! They have a special brand of soda, Stubborn, and these aren't your average sodas! The family favorite was the Agave Vanilla Cream Soda, god grief that was good! They had TV's all around the dining area, they showed mostly sports but there was one with local news coverage of Houston and it's trillions of gallons of water. The wait was pretty fast, we got everything withing about 15-20 minutes. My pepperoni rolls were awesome, and I don't generally like pepperoni anything! My youngest daughter LOVED the stuffed cheese rolls (that was literally all she would eat), but the pizza was awesome. I mean, I've never been here and had bad food, but the pizza was just really good. I like the crust. The large cheese pizza was a chin crust, but it wasn't that cardboard kind of crust. Great small pizza place tucked away in a strip center in Pasadena. They have your standard pizza fare, as well as more inventive pizzas like the Lost City Volcano that has chorizo and doritos on it. On my most recent trip I had the Roustabout Pizza that is made with Mozzarella, chicken, garlic, basil and tomatoes with an alfredo cream sauce (instead of tomato sauce). The crust was thin and very crispy and the toppings were fresh and plentiful -- no skimping. Service was quick. They have pick-up service too. read more

Updates: The area hasn't changed, but their menu has. They now offer more pizza and different menu items. Pipeline now has wraps, wings, ribs, different appetizers, more desserts, customized pizza, cal zones, cheese bread, salad and pasta. In the mail when we got their new menu, there were coupons inside that had great deals for ordering out. Everything was hot and fresh, my mom loved her grilled chicken manicotti. Personally, the sauce was sweet which shouldn't be the way it is for manicotti. My dad's wrap was huge and packed. Pipeline Pizza's bread was still a delight. Not as good as it used to be. I used to hype this place up. Last time I got their combo pizza and wings which were delicious! Today I opted for the shrimp and chicken alfredo and wasn't as pleased. They used to give cheese bread with the order now it's just really bland breadsticks. Spanky's used to be my favorite pizza place but the sauce is too spicy and gives me heartburn. Then I found this place pipeline pizza and this pizza was perfect but they recently changed their sauce too a spicy sauce and not only does it give me heartburn, but it makes my stomach hurt too. I don't know if anybody else is getting the same symptoms but I do not recommend this place anymore. read more

The portions were on point, but the taste was very middle of the road. It's not bad, it's just generic and by no means gourmet. I wouldn't go out of my way for their food, but it wouldn't be a hard veto if suggested by friends and family for a meet up. My biggest concern with this location was the manager on duty. She delivered our food without saying a word or smiling. When we asked her for an extra plate for the large salad we were sharing, she huffed and rolled her eyes. I ate at pipeline pizza for a Sunday lunch. Our table ordered off the signature menu. We asked the clerk which signature pizza was good and he told us that he did not like unusual pizzas (that's what's on the signature menu). I did order the pulled pork pizza. The sauce was great. The meat was juicy and tasted good. The pizza came out blazing hot. The only part of the pizza I did not like was the crust. The crust was flavorless and difficult to eat. My kids had the cheese pizza. The red sauce was a light sauce (perfect for my kids which don't like saucy pizza) and it was super cheesy. The ambiance of the restaurant was built to look like a southern bbq joint with giant oil signs all over the walls. There were giant screen Tvs (8-10) which I found distracting. Why have TVs showing movies on mute? The number of Tvs made for a difficult meal for my kids as they were constantly turning to see what was on each one. One of the Tvs was showing a Spanish romance of some sort which was somewhat inappropriate for my young kids. Overall I will be back, but think a few tweaks to this promising pizza place would make this a 4 star experience. read more

The food was decent. We went around 2:30 on a Sunday, there was only one couple eating at the time. The restaurant was clean and decorated ok. We ordered cheese sticks, BBQ buffalo wings, a meat pizza and a spinach and artichoke pizza. The wings came out very fast and were ok. The cheese sticks came out about 30 seconds after the pizzas. Since we were eating the cheese sticks, I didn't realize that I had been brought the wrong pizza. I let them know and they said that it was switched with another and that they were making me a new one. Once everyone else was done eating, I got my "correct" pizza. It was the right pizza, only it was missing the fresh tomatoes and green peppers that it was supposed to have. At this point I was over it. I ate one slice and got the rest to go. This place used to be great until they changed their ingredients for cheaper quality. The cheese is now horrible and rubbery and makes the pizza super greasy and oily. Even the employees confirmed the company switched to cheaper ingredients. At least they didn't try to lie and deny it. I visited this location a couple of times recently while on this side of town for business. It was my first time back here post pandemic. Needless to say I was disappointed with the changes. This location was changed to a casual dining experience vs. being able to self serve drinks. They ditched Stubborn Soda for Coke, which is a shame because I really liked Stubborn Soda, and they no longer make my favorite in house Mediterranean salad with Mediterranean sauce. I noticed more than a few menu items were missing, and the prices for additional single toppings for pizzas was highway robbery compared to other chains. Used to a Build Your Own pizza came with five toppings and you only paid extra for the premium toppings like meatballs, steak, and shrimp. Now they charge per topping, no inclusions for Build Your Own. To really top things off there is no longer any free wifi. Why? Despite the now horrible prices for regular menu items the lunch special is still a good deal, and they have the best meatball sub I have ever eaten in a restaurant thus far. If you come here for regular menu priced food make sure you have a good coupon, especially if it's your first time. They are not what they used to be. read more
