Food was great. Our server Michael "Mikey" was awesome! Restaurant was not too noisy and allowed us to discuss business.

They had me at the appetizers! To include a large glass of Cold Lemon Water. We ordered the Very Best Darn Ribeye Steak, and Choice Prime Rib, Ever, and I do mean ever! Yum! So Tender and delicious! Oh yes, the Barbecue Ribs too, Melt in the Mouth, Fall off the bone! Service was Very good. She easily and so kindly had perfectly suggested the most delicious menus items. We were able to get in right away and had a wonderful meal. Nice place very comfortable dinning, beautiful atmosphere! Funny, it is our Wedding Anniversary. Many Wonderful Meals together, and we had just picked up our Son from the Airport, as he was coming home from school for the holidays. Our server was amazing. We came in for late lunch on a Monday afternoon around 3 pm and it wasn't busy at all. They offer fresh complimentary baked bread and butter. We ordered the stuffed jalapeño popper and the queso dip for appetizers. Both of those were good. The Jalapeño will creep up on you! It was spicier than I thought it would be but still delicious. I was in between ordering the Steak & Shrimp off the lunch menu or the Redfish and the server recommended I go with the redfish. It comes with a side (I got truffle fries) and a soup or salad (I got the chicken tortilla soup). The portion size of the fish was a little small for it to be a regular menu item IMO. It tasted good but the fish was sliced thin. I loved the truffle fries. The chicken tortilla soup was ok, it wasn't chunky, mostly broth. We have always loved Saltgrass, but our experience at the Pasadena, TX location was extremely disappointing. Our last time there was great but the food has changed. We always get the Pat's ribeye with a wedge salad and side. It has always been consistently delicious in the more than 15 years we have gone to their restaurants, but this time the steaks were so thin that you miss the juiceness of a great medium rare thicker steak, and the wedge salad is no longer a wedge, but instead you get a1" slice of a head of lettuce with the usual stuff. Green beans were stringy and over done. We wont be back to this location, and if all the restaurants have made these changes we wont be loyal customers any longer. What happened? New staff or is your third string working Mondays? We used to get fairly decent service here. The bigger complaint would be our food coming out too soon or our salad and main entree coming out at the same time. This evening, we wanted to eat light. We usually sit at the bar but it was full so we sat at a bar height table in the bar area. Right away, the bar cleared but we stayed in the same spot. We wondered why service was slow when the bartender/waitress was just clearing tabs. All gone...our service should pick up. We are waiting like 30 minutes for one cocktail while we eat bread. We order range rattlers. Then, some time later, we order fondeaux. I won't do it again. Frozen seafood. Sadly, don't compare it to Pappadeaux...you will be very disappointed...and it came out with Texas Toast not garlic bread as advertised. I had to ask the waitress to refill my significant other's empty water glass. The kicker was that when she brought the fondeaux out, she had already took his plate away and put it with a stack of dirty dishes. Realizing he needed it, she placed it back on our table in front of him. This would never have happened at any other place we frequent. Clean plates, fresh silverware, napkins replaced. It wasn't closing time. We came in around 7:30 and left around 9:30. I hope if this is new staff they get the training they need to do their job and if it's not, they just don't care and need to move out of the service industry. read more

The ambiance was calm, the lighting was ideal for a nice, warm long conversation. A great time spent with our family. Our waiter Martinez was just wonderful, very attentive and his service was top notch! We even ran into some long time friends that were there celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary. We ate here earlier today for a late lunch and enjoyed it. A group of four of us was seated immediately without a reservation, which was nice. Andres was our server and he took great care of us. As for the food, it was delicious. I got the New York Strip steak and it was amazing. The wedge salad with no blue cheese was very good too. My fiancés family also all enjoyed their steaks. If you're dining at Saltgrass, do yourself a favor and ask for Jean! She is hands down the best server I've ever had. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly fast, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Not only that, but she's absolutely hilarious and has such a fun, welcoming personality that made our experience even better. Jean knows the menu inside and out and gave us the best recommendations! She suggested the Range Rattlers to start, and they were absolutely delicious. For the main course, she recommended the Gulf Coast Steak and Shrimp, and it was cooked to perfection. She even helped us pick the perfect dessert--carrot cake--and let me tell you, it was the best thing I've ever tasted! They told me the food would be ready "soon", but 30 min later I was still waiting in the restaurant. I ordered the brisket burger with macaroni and cheese and the burger is completely soaked on the bottom. They gave me about half a cup of mac & cheese, which is pretty skimpy for $20 plus tip. Every time I order from them, the portions get smaller and smaller. The last time the macaroni and cheese was least in a container instead of ruining the bottom of the burger. I don't think I'm going to go back to this location again. This is the third time they gave me extremely skimpy portions, it was my birthday today, and I thought it would be good, but it was even more disappointing to get so little food. read more

I order from various Saltgrass locations often. I typically order online and pick up bulk family packs for my customers. I've ordered from the Pasadena location numerous times. The orders are prepared correctly and on-time (for the most part). The one thing Saltgrass needs to do is expand the comments section in the online order process from 30 characters to at least 50 characters. It would help tremendously. Bottom line - Great place to order bulk meals to-go. They're fairly efficient. read more

Would be 5 stars, but the hostess was no where to be found. Bartender was busy. No one to back up the front, so we stood at the front for at least five minutes before she appeared from the back. No smile. No "I am sorry if I kept you waiting." No greeting at all - just "How many?" But enough complaining because the rest was great! Beware - dishonest - check your bill. We normally go to Baybrook location and decided to try Pasadena. I ordered a drink and it was taking a little long. The manager, Sam, came to the table to tell us the waiter had dropped it and it would be a little longer. Things happen. However, I was charged for two drinks. So the drink that took a while to get to the table wasn't enough, but I got to pay double!! It is my fault for not noticing until we left. However, the restaurant is DARK. I am a frequent visitor of saltgrass restaurants, and this was by far my worst experience ever. The service was horrible. The managers really did very little to improve our experience even though we kept having issues over and over. I ordered the blackened red fish, which was good but my husband's order which was very simple. Just grilled chicken strips came out fried first then burnt the second time. So he tried just ordering a hamburger and french fries, which came out with a dirty knife on top of the french fries. At that point we just had to leave. I strongly recommend not going to the Pasadena saltgrass if you want to enjoy your lunch or dinner. read more

First time here for happy hour. No energy or time to drive into town. So freaking glad we stopped here. One of the best happy hours around!!!!! All appetizers are half price. We ordered three and they all rocked. Shrimp cocktail, stuffed jalapeños, and crab stack. The crab stack was my favorite. We visited this Saltgrass location on a Saturday afternoon so we could dine with friends that live in the area. There was plenty of parking out front. Thankfully, there was no wait time for our party of 6 and we were seated quickly. The hostess was very welcoming. The waiter seemed "distracted". I am not sure if he was just overwhelmed by the large party or if he was just having an off day. He took part of the food orders and walked away. We had to flag him down so the rest of us could place our orders. This caused our food to come out at all different times. I'd first like to start out by thanking my server Cristian Rodriguez for exceptional service, and a great dining experience. Cristian was extremely attentive, present when needed and knowledgeable of the menu. All we ordered was a 8pc ranger rattler appetizer, and a kids 3pc tender with broccoli (extra steamed) everything came out as expected besides the first ranger rattler, the first one was obviously previously cooked and waiting in the window, because it was barley warm in the inside.
