The food options are good however the service sucks yet, they don't notify you when they're out of an item in case you want to order another appetizer. My friend wanted to try Cheddars so we came last night with some friends. We were a party of 7 so they seated us near the kitchen. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese bites as an appetizer. Pretty good. Then some croissants that are drizzled in warm condensed milk came out from the kitchen. The croissants are complimentary even though you'll find them on the menu. My friend and I ordered The Painkiller. It is literally dessert in a cup. It is also very sticky too. I want to say there is condensed milk on the rim of the glass. Had to wash my hands a few times to get the stickiness off my hands every time I went to grab my cup. My friends ordered steak and rib - all which were good and flavorful. I ordered the 5oz grilled salmon with rice and side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was good. When we were still eating, the hostess did sit another big party literally behind us. They were pretty close that they could probably hear our conversation. Upon leaving, my friend had to wait for me to get up so she can slide down from my seat since she could not back her chair up since the other party was sitting so close. I suggest that the restaurant spaces out the big party tables so it is a bit more comfortable. Other than that, we had great food and excellent service from our waitress. We ordered a little bit of everything, appetizers, meats, sandwiches and salads. The lady who served was very attentive and nice with us. The food was alright, I had the white grilled fish with two sides. It comes with rice and I had mashed potatoes and broccoli. I usually love broccoli but this was so hard I couldn't even eat it, it seemed like they were still undercooked. Anyways, I'm glad the server was friendly because the food was nothing crazy's my mom even said her shrimp and tilapia was too salty or overly seasoned. The minute you walk in feels warm and cozy. Immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. Jose our server came moments later, very knowledgeable on the menu, very thorough and polite. We had to start the Margarita and a Pain Killer. Very well made and very generous sizes, we thank you for that. We each had a cup of Baked Potato Soup, delish perfect size. I had Country fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Green-beans. My husband had Too Sirloin with Grilled Shrimp, Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli Casserole. My entree was so delish, the batter crispy but not greasy, Steak moist inside with Country Gravy on top. mashed potatoes very well cooked like homemade, Green beans well seasoned. I am giving this restaurant three stars because to be honest with you from the moment I arrived until the moment we left the service just wasn't up to par. We had to basically seat ourselves. There was no hostess available. It took well over 10 minutes for us to even be greeted at the table or even got a glass of water. The food was mediocre. Nothing that I would really say was outstanding and the drinks were so-so as well. I chose not to even have dessert just not spend the extra money or be disappointed. I definitely feel that this restaurant is extremely overpriced for the quality of the food selection is very poor and overall it's just not worth the money. This is not an establishment that I see myself coming back to you, I do hope that if they do stay open that they reevaluate the menu, maybe offer better training to the servers and possibly keep the Restaurant a little cleaner read more

Was really close to not coming here because of the overall bad rating on Yelp but had someone in the party who wanted to try it so we came. Glad we did. When we first got there it took about 5 min for the hostess to come to the front to greet us so that wasn't great (place was not full at all). She was very nice though and our waiter was as well. We got the croissants and they were really delicious. Got the cheese curd appetizer and it was really good too. For meals we got the chicken tender salad (mine), chicken tenders, and 2 monte Cristo. The tenders were good and crunchy, wasn't much else to the salad. They said the monte Cristo was amazing. (Saw a previous review say they were very small but these things were massive) For dessert got the chocolate cake with ice cream and it was also huge and really good. Would go again. read more

It's always exciting when a restaurant finally pops up in the deep Kendall area and naturally I had to give it a try. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try last minute on a Saturday night and naturally there was a long wait (but that's to be expected of any restaurant on a Saturday night much less a newer restaurant). The restaurant inside was nicely decorated with a beautiful fish tank in the entrance. Very chic but still cozy feeling. The menu wasn't filled with a ton of options but did have something for everyone, delicious looking drinks and the best part was that everything had a great price! I went with a burger that was delicious and had a coconut drink that was not skimpy on the alcohol or flavor. For such a chill spot I still felt like I was on a date night. I wish I could remember our waiter's name because he was absolutely incredible! What an amazing personality! We had exceptional service from start to finish. Not a high chair, not a bar seat.. a regular table ; just like everyone else. It was 7:45pm on a Thursday, so it's only 30% occupied. I saw there were plenty of tables available, ok? The host insisted that she could not seat me where I wanted to. Can you explain this discriminatory policy against single people? Why can't I eat alone in peace without sitting a bar or high chair? I tip well, I review restaurants well too, when deserved. This was a goofy experience, and it needs to change. Shame on Cheddar Kitchen. Manager: better step up your service policy. A restaurant can make it amazing or instantly kill it ( not in the good way ) very quickly. The ability to cook the marble where it melts in your mouth & someone like me who usually hates the fat on steak will eat it because it adds the perfect flavor is something not a lot of places can do. Now, I knew this coming in & I truly was expecting to have to cut the marble off my steak. I was very surprised when I got my steak cooked exactly how I wanted & the marbling was perfection. My dinner was absolutely delicious ! My hubby's T- Bone was a bit over cooked they did medium instead of his ordered medium well, but it was still good. So we decided to come even tho there were a couple of bad reviews ( I usually don't believe all the reviews). Just in case we proceed with caution. All I have to say is wow. As soon as we walked in the hostess was sweet and polite. Once we were seated our server ( Addison) came with delicious honey butter croissant that were amazing. She was super helpful and attentive. Since it was our first time she helped out with a couple suggestions. For appetizer we had the sampler and the cheese curds. Both were good. The sampler was a little bit better. Since we had two appetizer we decided to share a meal and got the half rack of ribs with coconut shrimp. Oh my the ribs were finger licking good and the shrimp were perfect. A co-worker and her family went to the one on Aventura, Florida and the service was below horrible. The waiter had a terrible attitude, got 2 of the 4 orders wrong. When my co-worker brought it to his attention, he jotted down what she said and then never came with the right orders. There were no refills or utensils given even after requesting them. Then another one of the waiters kept passing by and looking at them all weird. She requested speaking to the manager, who was very helpful and tried to make things better. However, when my co-worker and her family left the restaurant, the waiter that kept eyeing them actually followed them out of the restaurant and almost to their car! My co-worker then called the manager, who examined the cameras, and saw it was true. Needless to say, this location should get NO stars at all for terrible customer service! The 3 steaks I never ate. The ambiance was great. Low lights and professional customer service. The server/hostess were amazing and bubbly. Very down to earth people. HOWEVER, I ordered the steak and ribs combo. And the steak i requested was medium rare. I got a well done steak 3 times. Only to be told it was the cut of steak and that's why it wasn't the right color and the inside was brown. One of the steaks was so cooked it didn't even bleed, had no bounce and it cut like a porkchop it was so dry. I ordered a strawberry Texas swirl and they over poured on the alcohol. So I switched it to a frozen watermelon drink. Except they brought me the wrong drink. So by the time my guest had a full meal I had eaten 2 ribs, French fries. Still had no steak and drink and settled for seafood. Grilled shrimp. Which good on them shrimp was amazing it was properly cleaned and seasoned I loved it. But even the rice it was on was oily and sweet. Which is fine but like oh my. Which still doesn't even go into the salad I returned for the appetizer. I spoke to the manager on duty and gave my constructive criticism I don't know how well received it was. But the server was amazing and the only thing that is actually retaining customers. I'll visit again in 3-6 months and revisit this. So we'll see. read more
