First time visiting, no reservations. Didn't think we needed one but ut was a full house. Decided we definitely wanted to wait because now I was very curious. About 20 minutes later we got a table. One of the things about moving to a new neighborhood is the opportunity to discover the wonderful eating places that I've not been to before. Looked on yelp for a nearby place to get Ramen and saw wonderful reviews for KOW. And so I ventured over. Looking unassuming from the outside in a strip mall, this is a really nice place for a quiet and wonderful meal. I was struck how it was not just Ramen, but a variety of different cuisines on one menu. I really wanted to try them all, but stuck with Ramen as that is what I was looking for on that particular evening. It did not disappoint. People have described it as the best Ramen in the area and I will not argue that point. I will, however, say that the portion was on a small side and I was still hungry afterwards. This is the only reason for the missing star. The flavor was excellent. The protein and added dumplings were all perfect. The broth was delicious. The servive was outstanding. The ambience was comfortable and truly enjoyable to have a nice conversation with my dining companion. I found the menu a bit overwhelming, but I will go back to try some of the other things as I looked around the table and people are eating a variety of different foods and by foods I mean food types as the offerings are so diverse. My friend recommended this place and I'm so glad I discovered it. The menu has several options and are listed by several different continents. America, Europe, Africa, etc., so it is very unique and there are lots of options. We ordered the Croqueta's to start, and I have to admit that I was surprised about how good they were. I had the fried snapper with mashed potatoes and fried yucca. I really enjoyed it. It was still moist and flavorful, even under the breading. For dessert, I had the Guava Blondie, which was also a standout. The textures were soft, crunchy, and ice cream to top it off. I went on a Monday night so it was not very busy. I like the concept of kitchen of the world which brings a variety of flavors like traditional dishes, Asian dishes, European dishes, African dishes, and sushi. I think this is a great place to take someone if they don't know what to eat because here you have everything on the menu! For starters, we ordered the sushi pizza which was absolutely delicious. The crispy of the rice and the fresh of the tuna. We ordered the Alaska truffle roll, which brought crispy salmon, cream cheese and avocado. It was a perfect burst of flavor. The fried salmon really elevated the roll for me texture and taste wise. And for my final dish, I ordered the short rib ravioli. It was a perfect blend of creamy and savory. My friend ordered the short rib Ramen, but it wasn't like a traditional Ramen broth so it wasn't my favorite, but still pretty good. This place was spectacular! Everything we ordered was an explosion of different flavors. The tostones with pork belly were amazing as well as the flatbread. The flatbread is on the sweeter side. The sweet chili wings were juicy and the perfect spice. The arroz con pollo was great with a perfectly fried egg. My favorite was the surf and turf braai. It was seasoned to perfection. I have ordered delivery from here a bunch of times on Uber eats but have never been in person. We decided to come after my kids eighth grade promotion to celebrate. We started with the hoisin wings- these are a fav. The Tequenos as well are yummy- come out hot and fresh. The kids had nigiri and sushi pizza- they lived the pizza. The salmon nigiri was cut a little too thick and didn't taste the freshest- we sent it back and they were happy to address the issue. I had the lomo salteado- pretty good. My husband had the piripiri ribs/ these were tender and yummy with a dry rub. The kids reported back that the sushi roll and ramen were yummy. The service was great, they checked in on us and the food was brought out timely. The seating area is large and was able to accommodate our part of 5 with no issues. We were in clear view of her not working or waiting on other people. She literally had the worst attitude as if it was an inconvenience for her that we were there. I had requested a menu which I never got. Then after we had made our decision it took the waiter a really long time to get to our table for some reason to get our order. First time here with the family. Just like the other reviews state service is ok don't expect much. Had to ask for water, sauce, multiple times. Second food is not worth the price at all. I ordered the ceviche that was good. I got the seafood rice it was under cooked had to send it back then it was better. Not worth $30 .The sushi no flavor. Order two crème brûlée probably the worst I have ever had taste like orange cream. The table in front of us got up and complained about something too. I have had this place on my to go list for quite a while. It was recommended by a coworker and she raved about it. Well we finally tried it this weekend and let me tell you, she was 100% correct. The food was absolutely AMAZING! We tried the short rib ravioli and the WOK noodles. Both dishes were so rich in flavor and well made. We also tried their tostones as a starter and they were delicious. The service was great. Our waiter was on it and would come to our table to check in on us often. Great casual restaurant with plenty of options to choose from. Came with my family recently to celebrate my mom's birthday my party enjoyed it, we definitely ate well. Highly recommend placing a reservation, as the place is relatively small and definitely attracts a crowd. It's a different pace for dinner than it is for lunch. Stand outs with the pork tostones and I liked my Crab Ravioli, just wished they'd used a little less soy sauce. My sister's Lasagna also had a tad too much of a cheese top layer. My visit to KOW reminded me of a wise saying...."Jack of all Trades, Master of None" The menu items sounded enticing, but the four dishes I tried were simply meh: Short rib ravioli Ramen short rib- double meh Spicy ribs (they were actually the best tasting item I tried) with a side of congri and maduros: the congri was mushy, flavorless and honestly inedible. It was under "Africa" so maybe that's how they do it over in the Dark Continent...but I doubt it. Leaving my favorite for last just because it was so darn cute: the tiramisu! We made an Uber eats order for this restaurant and it was a good experience. The food was really fresh and tasty. I am a pescatarian and the meal I had ordered (the ceviche) is usually served in this establishment with meat (pork rinds) and they had no problem accommodating the plate to my dietary restrictions. The service provided over the phone was excellent, they made sure everything on the order was up to our liking and they even wrote a smiley face next to our name which was very sweet. It's a unique menu setup purporting to do a travel through the different continents; however, the food itself is barely authentic to the areas they claim to be from - it's more of an idea for structuring the menu (and restaurant name/concept) than true authenticity - there seems to be some fusion going on - I've not tried anything from the Asian menu, so can't comment there. I had Europe'sFettuccini Alfredo with Chicken (tenders) - my second time - I forgot from first time - seems like an entree more suited for the kids menu. The flavor is definitely FAR from anything Alfredo - it's a VERY heavy creamy/cheesy sauce (except DEVOID of any actual cheese flavor); not flavorful - it's more of an oily texture. You have to drown dish in extra cheese and salt to make it palatable. I avoid going to this place, but sometimes it's one of the few local restaurants open late or on holidays. I specifically avoid it because while most dishes are reasonably priced, I can't manage to get out of there without spending about $50 per person when all I ordered was a $20 dish and maybe a coke. I'm guessing drinks are expensive and even though my friends order just the one drink. And this is NOT the kind of place you spend $50 at, so again, I avoid it. Anywho, the chicken tenders, while very nice actually (crispy and juicy), again, seem more appropriate for a kid's meal or an app at your local sports bar, than for a main course for an adult entree at a supposed 'nice' restaurant (in the corner strip mall). The one dish I've tried here (I've not tried many although I've been many times) is the Crab Ravioli and that one is a solid 7-8 out of 10. The coconut guava blondie dessert is also good - not sure the tiramisu is worth $13.50 just because they serve it in a old-style espresso coffee maker - not exactly a new concept and many higher-end Italian restaurants charge just $9-10 for theirs. I think this restaurant is from the Bocas Grill family and they tend to overcharge for things in general. The Alfredo at $20 would actually be a great price if it wasn't as described above. To summarize, it's not a bad place, but IMO it's way hyped up and desserts and add-ons can be expensive for what they are in true Bocas fashion. PS: bring a jacket because place is always cold (and I'm a 'run hot' kind-of-guy). read more

We went yesterday for dinner. The menu is large considering they have dishes that are from different places. We had the sweet chili chicken wings and tuna tar tar to start. They were both just "okay". As entrees we shared the seafood rice and the short rib in cazuela. The seafood rice came with two large shrimp on top that were unpeeled. When we started to peel them, they weren't deveined. That completely grossed us out so we didn't eat them. Also, the rice was still pretty hard. For the short rib cazuela, although it does state it comes seasoned with Thyme and rosemary, it was overbearing. Both dishes were mediocre. We ordered the Chocolate LAYERED cake for dessert. The waitress put the plate on the table and just walked away.When we took a look at the plate, you could barely see the cake slice they served us. We waited to speak to our waitress, however she would not come our way so we asked another. When we addressed our concern on the serving size, she picked up the plate and was observing it as in trying to find the slice. It's nothing like it was shown on the picture. It was a SLIVER of a piece (if that) with two large ice cream balls and a drop of fudge (literally had to scrape it out to pour it out) . She took the plate back saying it was an error and about 10 mins later, our original waitress came back with the plate with a SLIGHTLY bigger piece. However, on a plus side, it is made there and this was the tastiest out of everything we ordered. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great either. Our waitress would barely come to our table. We were having to ask other staff. Even when it came down for the check. We were not impressed and most likely won't be going back. read more

This place is great! You have like 5 different menus in one. I tried the Galician octopus, the dish was delicious, my only complaint is that the portion was very small, specially when it comes to the sides...the Galician Style Octopus is served with garbanzos and potatoes (the potatoes are really small). The crab raviolis asian style are to die for and the noodles are really good too ( the noodles dish is not a small portion). The tiramisu is a must...so if you come to this place you cannot go without trying the tiramisu. And the piña colada is awesome as well. read more

First time eating at Kow. The menu has a huge variety, which was actually a little overwhelming at first, so we relied on Yelp photos to decide. We started with the Chicharron, and it was the highlight of the experience. Perfect tenderness and crispiness. For mains, I got the Chicken fried rice and my girlfriend ordered the Wok Noodles with Shrimp. Both plates were packed with flavor. My only critiques was that the rice was a bit on the mushy side and the noodles felt they weren't cooked all the way through in a few parts, but everything else was great. Highly recommend read more
