My first time at Red Lobster was very enjoyable. Congrats to the new CEO of the company for re-opening and re-vamping the restaurants...we are so back. This location was clean. The waitress was very sweet. We started with fresh biscuits. They are soft, cheddar-y pillows, so good! We also had the stuffed mushrooms that had crab meat and bread crumbs and were covered in cheese. For mains we had the shrimp 3 ways (coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and shrimp linguine) and also the southwest shrimp bowl with rice, salsa and shrimp. Red Lobster is back baby Well at least for now Caught all the commercials of them revamping some items on the menu and $5 HH cocktail specials and all of a sudden memories came flooding back. It's time to go again. Okay so let's be real, them cheddar biscuits are heavenly and they still have them. As soon as your seated within seconds there placed right in front of you. I ate 2. I regret nothing. Still a perfect welcome back starter. We decided to sit in the bar area as we felt it was more lively. Ordered a glass of wine that came out quickly. Our waiter was super polite and let us know about all the new menu items and answered all our silly questions. We tried the new crab stuffed shrooms which were great (they still have the original ones on the menu). It can even be eaten as a meal as its a good portion of crab and cheese. For oir main I went with the 1 lb steamed snow crabs ( which is $24.99 Tuesday special) with butter and the side of cesar salad. I tore it up. They also bring you the crab opener, a shell plate, and gloves if you order one with a flavor like the Cajun (bestie had that). I believe there was 4 different flavors you can have them steamed in, or have it on the side. They have daily specials so check those out too. We devoured our food and rolled out of there like a pair of fat lobsters. Only thing I would say is with the revamping of menu items and $5 HH prices maybe they should renovate the place. It's still dark and gloomy and that dark wood everywhere has got to go. So the menu is definitely a plus but the decor needs an upgrade. Haven't been here in a while. Decided to come on for a quick bite. Server Yulia was excellent. Very professional and courteous. We were seated right away and selection was easy with her asking if there were any questions. After a while I decided to try the Lobster and Shrimp Scampi. Great selection I must add. Food was great. Took a chance on the unlimited shrimp deal after not eating here in over 15 years or more. Friends and I ordered the biscuits which could have been hotter and more fluffy with extra seasoning not like I remember at all. Our server, Natalie was very nice explaining the deals to us which I appreciated. We split our meal including the grilled skewer shrimp, garlic scampi, and the Alfredo linguine shrimp and for our side, we went with bacon mac and cheese which was pretty decent. Red Lobster is a classic place to go get seafood. I've come to this Red Lobster location countless times in the past. However, when I went yesterday with my mom (we went on a Saturday at lunch time, it was not full and we were seated right away) it was the first time I'd been there in a while (a few years since the last time I had ate there). The experience was different. I could see they were short staffed, but the employees that were there were super kind and doing their best. I overhead there was only one person in the back which is perhaps why the food came out at odd times. My house salad came out only about 3 minutes before my meal, which has never happened to me at Red Lobster before, and it took a while to get the biscuits (it came out at the same time as my house salad). The salad was huge though, and very yummy, I am disappointed it is an up-charge when that wasn't the case when I came here in the past. Another change was that the salmon no longer has the half portion option. The full portion is too large for me so it was disappointing I had to pay more for something that was too big for me to finish when in the last that was not the case. All the food was very delicious though. I know changes happen in restaurants all the time (especially chain restaurants nowadays), but I believe Red Lobster has had more changes compared to other places. If you haven't been to Red Lobster in a while, expect a lot of change. Also, the restaurant tables were clean, but the bathroom floor was incredibly sticky and my shoes kept sticking to the floor, this is probably due to the short staff at the time. I think if my mom and I had arrived at a more popular time, like dinner time, it would had been a different experience since there would have likely been more staff covering those shifts. read more

Currently sitting while half of my family tries to eat their food without any cutlery available (we have asked twice for them). The other half of our family has yet to receive their food. We should have left when we had to basically beg for service - we were sitting 20 minutes without any acknowledgment whatsoever. The manager has yet to show his or her face and the servers are running around and don't even inquire if everything is ok. This was a to go order. My order wasn't spicy in the least way as I requested. Zero spice level. The potatoes were slightly crunchy because they weren't done all the way. The lobster tail was overcooked and stuck to the shell. To add a drink for $3.99, I surely wasn't expecting a 12 oz. can but at least a to-go cup with a lid and ice. The biscuits were placed beside the condensing can soda so they were cold when I opened the bag. Even after all the mixed reviews of others experiences, I was surely looking forward to enjoying the boil since the adjustments were made to the menu since I didn't get to try prior to the adjustments being made. Red Lobster has always been one of my favorite casual dining chains and the Kendall location is our to go location. Entering this location gives me a vibe of both homey and comfort and thankfully we arrived before the big Friday rush. After the warm welcome from our waitress we were greeted by their famous complimentary cheddar bay biscuits, and never disappointed with the taste of garlic and cheese that goes perfect together. Red Lobster are also famous for their food festivals promo and we happen to be upon their crab fest season, so we ordered their crab cheese dip. The dip was delicious topped with pico de gallo which gave it an extra burst of flavors. For the main entree I decided to go for the lobster duo which consisted of two tails one large meaty Maine Lobster and the second a Caribbean lobster which looked smaller. Both tales were grilled to perfection and very fresh, my plate came with two awesome sides a baked potato and their orzo rice. My wife ordered their lobster linguine and she said it was very good and contained generous chunks of lobster. When we saw the manager coming our way, we asked him what's taking so long to have somebody to serve us and he rudely replied that we have to be patience because they're short of people.
