I was never greeted when I walked in. After being sat, I was asked to move to another table so my table could be used to seat another party of 2 (same size as my party). What better way of telling someone you're not welcome. Whatever manager thought that was a good idea to ask a paying customer to relocate tables during their meal should be terminated. Visited this location while in the area and was not let down. Ordered a crispy chicken salad which was very good. Everything was fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and accommodating. The croissant with that deelish glaze on top is bomb! Cant complain at all. I will likely return and give it a go again. Very clean as well and friendly staff. read more

I go often to this cheddar's and service is usually good, food and drinks are tasty. However on my last visit this past January my waitress was extremely rude and Un-attentive. We waited about 45 minutes for our food (our waitress was MIA for the last 25 minutes of that wait) until I requested to speak to the manager. I was there today with a party of 6. The waitress and food were great but the hostess was beyond rude. Apparently a party of 6 is considered large and requires a wait time of 1 to 1.5 hours to wait to be seated. This time was never told to us even tho the hostess told the manager it was. This is a much better location than some of the others I've been to. The service is exceptional. Their staff will go above the usual bar to satisfy you. The food is a bit on the greasy side but not overly so. Their steaks are slightly too fatty, but for a non-steakhouse, it is amazing. They keep the AC on the low end so I recommend a jacket. Outside of holidays, it isn't all that busy so your wait shouldn't be any longer than 10-15 minutes. read more

This is a very terrible place to dine. Everything from the beginning to the end. The people that dine here are shady as are the staff. It takes forever to be seated even though there is empty tables. First off, we enter this establishment with a group of four at around 9:45pm (the restaurant doesn't close until 11pm). There were many table open and available, even at the bar, but the host rudely told his eyes and told us it would be 15-20 minutes before we got seated. I then mentioned how there were tables open and that we might as well go sit at the bar. The host then rolls his eyes again and walked away. Furthermore, about 5 minutes later, the host asks us to follow his way so we could be seated. He proceeded to angrily slam down the menus, dropped the silverware on the table, cocked his head with an attitude and walked away. The waitress, however, was absolutely wonderful and was doing all she could to try and make things right by us. we ordered 3 of the same menu items (tender platter) and somehow I was the only one who got gipped with only 3 very over cooked tenders whilst the rest of the table had a plethora on their plates. Waitress aside, this was probably the worst cheddars experience I've ever had (as I frequent here) and will be reluctant to recommend or return to this location. read more

But for the most part when I do come the service is bad. Service was awful. Tailor was our waitress in the bar area. We ordered an appetizer and 20 minutes later she brought it out with our food (after we asked again for it). She never apologized or offered an explanation. I asked her to remove the order from our ticket and she stomped off only to return with the check, which she slammed on the table and walked away. When I paid, she stood silently looking for a pen and slammed that on the table too. Never a "sorry" or "thank you". She shouldn't be working in customer service, but that's neither here nor there. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I work in the food and beverage industry and I can be very understanding to servers BUT DAMN THESE PEOPLE DONT NEED A JOB IF THEY DONT LIKE WORKING! Coming into this place I see three employees sitting down right in front of the door and nobody at the host stand. NO SHAME. I just stared at the girls until one finally got up and asked how many. The employees were just walking around to the table directly in front of where I was seated & it seemed like everyone knew who the person sitting there was because they just kept coming and sitting down. Idk where there manager was to say something . Anyways as we ordered our drinks I also ordered a spinach dip appetizer which was quite good too bad it took about 20 minutes to get to our table. Our server was too busy talking and entertaining the table next to us he kept forgetting to check on us. Not only that but he didn't even greet himself and he seemed rushed. Whenever our main course got to us we didn't have any silverware so we asked for some and the table next to us didn't either and I could hear them ask for some as well the funny thing is they got there food after us and asked after we did but we never got our set of silverware tho. But he did remember to get the other tables. We gad to ask a different employee and she was nice and quickly gave us what we needed. Oh and while all this waiting was going on there was other employees sitting in booths around us just eating. Very unprofessional if you tell me. The food was good but the service was HORRIBLE! Horrible. Uneatable is the word to describe it. Took forever to get the worst food ive ever been served. I cant think of a homecooked meal i had this bad. My partner had steak and chicken finger combo. Thank god you cant fry chicken wrong..we shared that so we wouldnt starve. Her steak was suppose to be well done. It was well done on the outside and medium rare on the inside. I got the jalapeno burger which contained vegatables (tomato, jalapenos) that looked like they were weeks old. All shriveled up and colorless. We both got loaded baked potatos which we were so excited for and they were harder than the table we sat at. Long islands were good. Only thing that kept us from walking out of the place. Will never go back. Had dinner there last night, for the most part everything was fine. Drinks were good and plentiful, service attentive, food arrived timely and hot. We ate dinner at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our only issues were: one - the bartenders never bothered to check on us after the food arrived, it took several tries to get their attention to ask for ketchup for my fries and salt and pepper; second - the plates are way too small for their servings, a whole rack of ribs with two skimpy sides on a plate about 8 inches long with no backup plate provided to put the rib bones on, should bring a second plate with the ribs or put them on a bigger plate; while the fries were very plentiful on my order the sides on his order with the ribs were extremely small. Last night was the third time to eat at this location and I have never had any problems. The place was very busy for a Monday night, but we were seated within 5 mins. The waitress was Shainia (??) and she was very attentive. My wife and I rarely get dinner alone so we were just enjoying our time together, and did not notice how long it was taking on the food, but the waitress did and apologized and said the food was working. About 10 mins later the manager came by and stated the kitchen lost our ticket, but offered chips and queso with sincere apologies, which we accepted. The food came out shortly afterwards and was great, with everything made perfectly. The hiccup in the services was taken care of, and no harm no foul. We'd definitely go back again. read more

My daughter decided to have dinner with her friends for her 17th birthday. Because of the size of the dinner party, my husband and I ended up sitting away from her and her friends in the bar area. My daughter and her friends kept telling me that the waitress was being rude, but I thought, a bunch of teenage girls, they were probably exaggerating. Well, I actually walked up on her being rude and was shocked because every experience we have had at Cheddars has always been great, up until yesterday. Of course, when she realized I was standing there, her attitude and tone completely changed. Thanks to the rude waitress, my daughter's dinner was ruined. And to top it off, she stormed out of the restaurant in an angry rage right after she finished collecting the money for their orders, which was completely unprofessional. I don't understand why people with little to no people skills choose to work around people. On a positive note, the waiter that my husband and I had was excellent. This will definitely be the last time I sit away from my children because people act differently when an adult isn't around. I just received the WORST customer service in my life. I was properly greeted when I came in by a young man and a lady. Told the wait was 45 mins but was seated in about 20. I was seated at 8:20. We sat with Jeanelle. We had a party of 8 and started. With drinks and appetizers . From the beginning she was already rushing us to order. She seemed to be in a bad mood. We received the first two croissants and one was cold. We asked to send it back and she breathed heavily. So it approached 8:40 and our other appetizers came and she sat them down . We told her we weren't ready to order food yet. 20 mins passed and she was taking the orders of two others that came in after us. We waiting until 9 and still she had not returned. 9:03 I went to get the manager and she returned with our tickets saying all we ordered was appetizers and that's all we wanted. The manager asked her why and she argued for a second and walked off. How disrespectful was this young lady. I drove all the way from Irving !!!!!! This was so wrong. read more
