Visited on a Friday night around 5pm and it was pretty quiet! The service was friendly and welcoming. The St Louis dinner was delicious and fall off the bone tender. They tasted fresh and amazing! I had greens beans and coleslaw along with the soft and hot bread that was generously given as they were fresh out of the oven. Everyone was super nice! There's also nice seating in the center of the dining and some on the side that is quieter. The only issue was the peach cobbler and ice cream because it was slightly burnt. I got some ribs and they were the bomb. I really liked the BBQ sauce, it had great flavor and complemented the ribs perfectly. The customer service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and attentive. The first take out container I opened was the 3 meats and 2 sides two sauces which I didn't order were on the side. I was disappointed seeing the small amount of meat in my container. I chose traditional sausage, pulled pork and brisket. My meat plate looked like what was left before closing . My order was placed via doordash less than 2 hours after they opened. The size of the baked potato didn't disappoint. I don't understand why people put yellow mustard in potato salad I don't like it. Went with my family for a birthday dinner and things are mostly the same as pre-pandemic when I last week here. They don't allow you to come back for more sides anymore (not that it was good for my waistline anyway). They still have those amazing hot rolls! The brisket(got 1/2 and 1/2 mix; lean and marbled) was tender and good. You can load as much sides on your plate. I tell you the coleslaw was great; crunchy and fresh. The rolls goodness delicious. We were warned by a local to get this no doubt; roll was light, and fluffy yet a little crusty outside. While you have your meal a sever comes around to see if you want more rolls; right off from the oven ; fresh and hot! I'm saying to myself yes the whole basket please JK. Delicious rolls. We ordered our Sunday lunch to go from Spring Creek in Mesquite, TX and they got it wrong. One of my favorites at Spring Creek is there potato salad. I ordered a pound of ribs, 1 pint of potato salad, 1 pint of green beans, 1 pint of Cole slaw, 1 pint of mac and cheese for my wife and 2 sides of corn on the cob. When we got home with it there was 2 pints of mac and cheese and NO POTATO SALAD. Family was ready to eat, so there was no going back to correct it. I'm really unhappy with this. I have eaten at Spring Creek BBQ many times, but this is a first for this location. What I love about Spring Creek that no other BBQ place in Texas does are 2 things: 1). Hot fresh rolls brought to your table regularly by staff. 2). Put as much sides as you can fit on your plate. The sides are beans, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and green beans. Ordered the brisket plate and asked for it marble style(i.e. fatty and moist). Some places, when you ask for the marble ones, it still comes out dry. I had a fresh piece pulled out and the cuts I got were the first ones off the slab of meat. The staff with the fresh basket of rolls came out 3 times, but because I loaded my plate with the sides, I was in no way ready to finish the first roll which was a little dry. I got a pretty generous portion(meaning I wasn't hungry at the end). The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had to move to a bigger table because more in our party were joining us. They helped us get a bigger table after eating at a smaller one, and they even helped us move the tables together. Then asked us a 4th time if we'd like more rolls. Refills on soda were also complimentary. I was pretty full on my visit and my wife(the foodie in the family) was also pleasantly surprised. They also have a party room in the back that you can reserve for larger parties. Each of the locations is essentially the same setup. Not so much from the people upfront in the line, but more so from the little high school girls working the fresh bread rolls and ice cream. I came to eat here with my family one Sunday and we were excited because we love the fresh rolls just like everyone else. But man... these girls were rude. Every time one of them would come over to our table to offer one or the other, it literally seemed like they hated their life. Since we are in Texas I have to admit that it is generally never a good sign when a BBQ location has gotten to the point to where it has multiple locations with the same name in several cities. Generally this is a sign of financial success, but in the heads of consumers it also means that they have gone "McDonalds" and gone corporate. Spring Creek BBQ in Mesquite has a very convenient location off of 635 at the entrance to the restaurant row there. Parking is not a hassle. The location is clean, well kept, and professional looking. Vintage country music blares away at the doors and continues on as you walk inside. You go to the right where you wait in a line if there is one, grab a bottled drink if you want it, and then a tray just before the meat counter. Here you order your choice of meat, or meats, a man cuts it up before your eyes and plates it up. They asked me if I wanted sauce, and I begrudgingly said yes as I know BBQ at a chain like this simply needs it. Its just a reality of the matter. Just past the meats you can load up sides, and they have all the normal setups like cole slaw, potato salad, corn, beans and my favorite the macaroni and cheese. Finally you get to load on peppers, pickles or onions and grab a drink. This is pretty much cafeteria style. At your table a woman will come by and offer you hot-rolls from a wicker basket. Later the same girl will come by with complimentary Blue Bell ice-cream, a very nice touch. As for the meat, here is my ratings on a scale of 10. BRISKET: 6/10 - A little on the dry side, but a nice char and smoke line. Not bad but nothing special. RIBS: - 5/10 - Totally average here. Been under heat lamp a little too long. Dry. CRACKED PEPPER SAUSAGE: 10/10. Delicious! Juicy, spicy, hot and tender. Exactly what you dream of in sausage. The rolls and macaroni were also very good. Tea was too hot, it melted the ice down and caused the tear to be watered, which no-one likes, but I understand why it happens and there is not much you can do about it. All in all, this is a solid "avergae" experience for me, not great and not bad either. I would return in the future, but not go out of my way to eat here. read more

I rarely eat here but when I do I always leave satisfied. I came on an afternoon right after work and there were only a few other parties there, which I like because it can get pretty busy. I like that you walk up and order your meat, I always get the brisket sandwich, and then you continue down the line were you can pile your plate up with the sides of your choosing. I'm not a huge fan of most of the sides so my go to is the coleslaw and potato salad. They have a selection of desserts that you can choose from but I never have room at the end of my meal so I bypass it. After paying you get to choose where you want to sit. There are plenty of seating options so even if you come during a busy time you'll find a place to sit. My favorite part about the meal is the nice warm roll that an employee walks around serving as you dine. Those things are so good! This is a pretty decent BBQ spot in the mesquite area that is reasonably priced. read more

Today my family and I decided to give Spring Creek barbeque a try. We never tried it before even though we frequent that area quite often. We decided on the chopped brisket pan. It was supposed to be two pounds and three quarters of chopped brisket. It wasn't it was a little under two pounds and my husband bought it to the manager attention. He politely weighed it for us and added a little more meat. It's ok for what it's worth. The down side is it looked more like shredded beef and had a lot of fatty meat in it. Been coming here with my family for years.. today was the worst experiment by far! There is typically a bread person delivering to tables this time it was a white girl fairly young with blond hair. She came to other table towards the end of the meal asking "yall want bread?" We said yes please 5 or 4 she stated "5!?!?, I don't even had that" she proceeded to throw them on our plates as if she was feeding animals to the point one fell and she was about to pick it up with pinchers and put it back on plate.
