Poor service turning people away before closing , ran out of tea wouldn't make any more served burnt cold rolls the service and food was just so bad and we been going to this place for years , the manager use to know us by name and always come to talk to us made us feel so welcome now we get treated like were a pain to deal with we are forced to find a new location, we got there around 8 pm and everyone seem to be in a hurry and was already getting ready for closing , the okra is my wife's favorite and it was burnt the roles were burnt and cold couldn't get any more tea refills we were leaving it wasn't even 9 yet and they turned away a crowd of looked two family's they charged me for a brisket plate 17 dollars and it was a sandwich plate should of been 11 dollars i went to the restroom they had all the floors mopped with no signs i almost fell there was no cobbler which we get every time after our meal just seems like every time we go it just gets a little worst read more

We ordered turkey, brisket, potato salad, green beans, Cole slaw and rolls for 36 people for a 75th birthday party and ended up with enough delicious food to feed a small army. The brisket was delicious. The Turkey was tender. Everyone left full with bags of leftovers to take home. I have been a fan of Spring Creek BBQ since the 1980s when I was in high school, but this was the first time I had ever used them for a large catered event. It will not be the last time. Im not the biggest fan of chain type places when it comes to the sweet nectar of barbeque, but i am a fan of this place. I even met the owner at a wedding once, how bout that?! They slow smoke everything at this place, not only can you see it when you're walking in, you can taste it. This place is very GO TEXAS AND AMERICA AT THE SAME TIME heavy, but hey, luckily i'm in to that sort of thing. It's cafeteria line style too, so grab your tray and move buddy. First you pick your meat, their chicken is the best bbq roasted smoked chicken that i've had in town, and the brisket is tender and juicy. They also have a great smokey bbq sauce, which is key. Next are the sides...my faves are the beans with peppers and onions, and their cole slaw is chunky and light, mix'em together and you'll pass right out. Grab some pepperchinis and a pickle, and you're in business. And they have this at every location, but i wanted to give this one more credit than any of the others. There is a girl that brings around fresh, delicious rolls that melt in your mouth, and she couldn't a nicer employee. She even offers to refill your drinks(only happens at this location) and thanks you for coming when you leave and pass by her roll station. Bleh!! If you live in Texas you know there is an abundance of BBQ options. And knowing that I don't know why anyone would waste their money or calories on the slop served at Spring Creek. Spring Creek BBQ has been around for awhile, but it was my first time. I never heard good or bad reviews so I was pretty open minded. When you order its like a cafeteria line and you tell the guys behind the glass what you want. It was cute because for certain orders, the guys would sing a little chant to repeat the order. Funny though - even when they repeated their "extra sauce" chant, they still forgot to give my boyfriend the extra sauce he asked for. Normally, I wouldn't be happy if someone forgot an order request because technically things like that are a given in restaurant protocol. But, the guys were so cute and not to mention good looking ;D You can choose from different meats (beef, ham, turkey, etc) The BBQ ribs combo is about $10 and you can choose a small helping of sides. RIBS - Decent, a few were dried out and not chewy CORN - completely removed of flavor. DO NOT EAT - it was sitting in warm water which didn't help the taste because it was all watery MAC & CHEESE - needed salt, very bland POTATO SALAD - good, nothing exceptional FRIED OKRA - VERY VERY GOOD. I'm not into fried okra and even I couldn't stop myself from grabbing a handful. The batter is seasoned well and has a good crunchiness to it. The people were very nice and they come to your table to offer fresh warm rolls which go very nice with the meal. Probably the best thing I ate at Spring Creek was the rolls. In past trips to his location, we could fill as many veggies on your plate. Two veggie limit now and apparently, fries or okra will be considered 2 sides. You'll find this out by the register. Left us paying for extra sides when we thought we were playing by the rules. What place considers fries as a double side? Wasn't going to not get fries for my autistic son. Flies all over our table in the middle of the restaurant and getting eyes rolled at me for simply asking for an extra roll from the roll girl. Unfortunately our visit ended abruptly. We saw multiple rats running across the restaurant floor. We brought it up with manager, Jeremy and he apologized and said they have been exterminating for the last 3 weeks. How can you keep the doors open under these conditions? This location was closed for a while, why not close the restaurant until they get this rat issue resolved? Jeremy offered nothing but an apology and his business card with corporate's number. This is the first time my family and I have dined here in years. I have mixed feelings about it. For as much as we paid, we thought it could've been better. We were disappointed with the size portion of brisket we were give and especially so with how much fat was on it. I wish they had more variety in sides dishes, but the one I had were really good. However, a signature move of this place was always those hot fresh rolls. It put them on the map. Ate my whole meal and not one roll. Got some from the kitchen that were over greased and and not allowed to rise properly. Do it right or put a bullet in it and call it a day! And if your over staffed your losing money. I just saw the last review and this is absolutely true, the Hispanic manager in this location seemed as though he thoroughly trained his staff to make the costumers feel safe about the corona virus issues. On Sunday evening I went to eat dinner with my family and I was very impressed about how they cleaned all the tables, chairs, and booths with sanitizer solution and also when I came to the line I had a friendly welcome from the staff. This was my first time at the Spring Creek Barbeque in mesquite and I'm very impressed about the management and how they really care about their costumers. Extremely disappointed in our order from Spring Creek BBQ. We have been going to this location for at least 10 years. Today, we had the worse experience with their food. We ordered ribs, brisket and sausage with potato salad and corn to go. First the meats, there were no to-go containers, everything was wrapped in aluminum foil. The brisket was dry and cold while the ribs were tasteless and dry. This is not their usual standard by any means. The sausage was the best part. I was shocked to learn that 1/2 a corn is $2 a piece! I understand the place burned down and they had to rebuild and we are in a pandemic, but $2 for half a corn? That is just outright ridiculous. Lastly, I asked the young lady at the counter not once but TWICE if we had been given the extra sides we asked for (pickles, peppers, butter, etc), I was told yes both times. We get home and there is none of that. Even the extra rolls of bread we ordered were tasteless. Extremely disappointed and sad that their standards have gone down. I will give this place one more try before no longer supporting them. read more

Okay for BBQ this place is great. They have some of the best fall off the bone pork ribs, I've ever tasted. The all you can eat veggies is a great treat, sometimes you just can get enuff coleslaw or corn on the cob. There chicken is awesome as well. I don't think I've ever eaten there and had a bad experience. They have fresh made rolls which they deliver right to your table side as soon as they deliver them to the bread basket from the oven... It was my first time eating bbq in texas. Prices are comparatively same around $12. Sliced brisket cooked medium with sausage. unlimited supply of salad bar. The best part of this meal are the bread rolls that are passed around when we sit at the table. Spring creek is a franchise. I think I will check it out again when I travel to texas. read more

The Wife, youngest girl Child and myself went out to eat lunch. We went to Spring Creek BBQ because we were hungry, short on time and didn't want to drive across town to Raymond's BBQ in Dallas. With the looks of the building we figured it would be nice. We walk in and noted it was clean and the decor was friendly. We then had to wait for an employee that spoke English before we could order. The choices are very limited. The peppered sausage was good but everything else was bland....even with sauce on it! The potato salad had NO taste at all. For 3 people our cost was $47.00. We will NOT be returning. The next time We will drive the extra 15 minutes and go where the food is worth the money and we don't need a translator to get a glass of Ice Tea. read more

7:00 pm Thursday night, stopped in to eat ribs, went to order a baked potato and was told they didn't have any right now, that there would be a 30 min wait time. The very young man behind the counter said this in a condescending tone. When asked what they were gonna do for me the young man said "you can have 1% off" in a sarcastic way. He then said to his coworker "this guys being a smart ass". I heard him and so did several other people in the line so I asked him what did he say? He just smiled. At that point the manager step up and asked what was going on and I explained that what had occurred was unacceptable. All he said was he was sorry. I told him that the young man had said I was being a smart ass and the manager did nothing. I left my tray and proceeded to leave the restaurant.
