We decided to celebrate my Birthday Dinner at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. I have been going to this Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen location for many years. We were greeted, sat down right away, and presented with 2 of the complimentary Honey Butter Croissants that were to die for. They were light, fluffy, buttery, and melted in your mouth like velvet. I also love the diversity with them serving Croissants. It's different and original. Most restaurants have Bread, Chips & Salsa, or Rolls. I usually order the Chicken Tender Platter, but this time, I wanted to try something both different and healthy. I had ordered the 8 oz. Salmon Dinner, with Italian Style Green-Beans and Broccoli Cheese Casserole for the sides. I was extremely pleased. The Salmon was very tender, and the filet layers separated like silk. However, it was very salty, but the sweetness from the Green Beans balanced it out perfectly. I cannot express how delicious the Broccoli Cheese Casserole was, there are literally no worthy words. It had appeared dry at first, but looks were deceiving. It was warm, moist, and packed with divine flavor. The best part of it was, I didn't leave with a Carb-Crash. In restaurants like these, it's very easy to fill your plate with all of the delicious, fried and carb-saturated menu items that will make you feel very tired and bloated after consumption. Being a Type-2 Diabetic as well, I deeply appreciate the healthy options that they provide. We will definitely be back again soon! read more

Unbelievable! In a terrible way. We were told we can order food up until 10 p.m. we ordered our food, and began to eat. My 1 year old started to cry so I took him out of the restaurant for a break. When I turned around to go back into the restaurant it was locked and when I waved to get someone to come let me back in oh, they said no. It had turned 10 while I was outside. They said they do not allow anyone into the restaurant after they're closing time. Even though my food was still on the table with steam coming off of it my wife and other child were inside the restaurant eating they still refused to let me into the restaurant they would not make any exceptions. Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. Waitress came by 3 times took order, delivered most of the drinks then delivered dinner. Never saw her again. Here's a pretty close estimation of the nights neglect 8:15 put on list, told 20. 8:25 told they had tables just needed to bus them 8:45 told our table is almost ready 8:55 seated 9:15 drink and meal order taken 9:20 all but my wife's drinks delivered and bread that we didn't ask for but waitress promised never came. 9:30 still no wife's drink after double checking. ( at this point I stayed positive but wife was pissed) 9:35 I ordered her drink from the bar and still no service from waitress. 9:45 food delivered and was bland 10:00 asked for server to remove drink that was never delivered (I became mildly agitated) 10:45 paid for dinner along with drink that wasn't removed and left a 0 tip. Never left a tip below 15% in my life, until that night. (At this point I was pretty upset) Will never go to any cheddars ever again. My family now has a great joke, and it's called cheddars 1 star for the bartender for making the shitty drink in about a minute. read more

I went to Cheddar's for lunch today and ordered the Salmon Caesar Pasta Salad. Our waitress was very attentive and we had great service. The only thing, was my dish didn't have any of the pasta in it. The waitress didn't mention anything, so I am not sure if they just made it incorrectly or what happened. Hubby and I ventured out in the world for lunch today. And Cheddars was yum. Like the crossainst with sweet melted butter taste flakey and fresh. Honestly, I would come for those alone. This was not our first time here but this was our first time with a toddler and a baby. They were very accommodating. Anywho back to the food. Both hubby and I decided on the fish.He got blacked and I got cornmeal with broccoli and cheese bake + corn. It was a great choice. I eat the fish with tater sauce, hot sauce and now mustard (the waiter told me to add the mustard) Do it, let me know what you think. (No pics because mama was starving! Will post on our next visit. Less than impressed. Wanted to try these famous onion rings everyone talks about. Which apparently is one of the most poplar items. Only to find out, they have a limited menu and that was one of the things cut?!?!?! That is a very weird thing to remove. Seems easy, low lost to make, and quick to get out to the tables. Also, when you ask for loaded baked potato, you would assume it is "loaded" & has everything on it. But apparently you have to specially "ask" for bacon bits on your loaded baked potato. They also brought some wrong stuff that we didn't order & forgot other stuff we did order. Said it must have got mixed up in the kitchen. Steak was cooked perfect though. And all the decor could use a good cleaning. Their are smudge, finger prints, and bits of food all over the pictures and the bricks. I do like the pictures though. All from local artists. I say the food was average. I would like to see how it is with a full menu. Maybe we will try it again when bigger menu options are back. First time here on a dinner date with the hubby. We came the day after Valentine's Day and it was busy. Only had to wait 15-20 minutes, which was nothing. I actually don't mind waiting. Our server was the bomb. She had just started and had been there for 3 weeks. Loved the decor and loved that they had coke products. A lot of places have traded coke for Pepsi and it's so disheartening. Our server brought out these croissants and they were to die for. They were hot and fresh as melted in your mouth. We also got an appetizer that had chicken fingers, Queso, and spinach dip. Husband had the burger and I had the salmon. We both enjoyed our meal and were highly satisfied. We had about a 50 minute wait, because of Covid restrictions. Let me tell you it was most definitely worth the wait. The restaurant was very nice, well decorated and felt like one of those upscale restaurants. The tables were very large and spacious. Staff was polite and friendly. Now for the food! We didn't really have to wait long for the food it came out quicker than I expected. It was AMAZING! The fries where well season, they didn't come cold or soggy, just the right temperature to eat. The rib were good and meaty fall of the bone even though it was a full slab it was a lot bigger than expected. The chicken was well seasoned and delicious also in a good portion. The Monte Cristo was excellent the and paired well with the raspberry flavored sauce. This was my first time the Cheddars and there were only two good things: Texas Tea and Chicken Tenders. The steak is terrible. Very plain and bland flavor, I didn't even finish it. So Cheddars is also a place I ate religiously back home! It was always the go-to restaurant. I mean, they serve everything: burgers, chicken, fish, salads, they have it all! Some of my favorite items are their crispy chicken tenders, lemon pepper chicken, dijon chicken, crispy chicken salad, I love it all, okay? Do NOT leave this place without trying their honey croissants, literally heaven in your mouth! Their spinach artichoke dip is also my favorite! Our waitress was a little awkward today. She didn't seem enthused. She left plates on the table, and didn't give us refills. We also had an other waiter bring out our appetizers and every time we thanked either of them, they wouldn't speak back, so it felt kind of uncomfortable. But the food was delicious. This was my first time visiting Cheddar's and for sure will not be my last. To start- the staff was incredibly friendly. The restaurant is well kept and clean. The prices are awesome & totally affordable, especially for the amount of food that you get. We didn't have to wait long to receive our food after ordering and everything was delicious! I don't know how anyone gives Cheddar's anything but five stars! We've been going since they opened the Greenwood location and get takeout regularly. Our orders are always fresh, correct, and ready when we get there to pick up. The prices are also great. Tonight we had the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken pot pie, both with sides of broccoli casserole, which is delicious, by the way. Cheddars is one of my favorite go to spots! I'm addicted to the Cesar chicken pasta salad. But I substitute the chicken for salmon. It's roughly a $13 meal that is quite nutritious so you can't beat it! They have lunch duos where you choose 2 items on the list. For example a half salad and a half monte Cristo. Definitely something that is a good bang for your buck! The only thing I'm not to find about and I always forget.... They don't have any drink specials but I always seem to live without. Their service and food quality always makes up for it! The place has a very cool vibe with a fish tank dividing the dining room and bar. I've always had great service coming here but tonight was absolutely awful. The food was great but it was probably the worst service I've ever experienced. It started with our drink order. Out of the 3 of us only 1 drink was correct. 35 minutes later we still hadn't ordered our food. After we did my food came out first. By itself. Followed by my fathers. My brothers food didn't come out until I complained that we were almost finished with our meals before he had even received his. Vickie the manager who came over to "help" did absolutely nothing to better the situation. She mentioned giving us a discount for the wait but we never received one. She was suppose to be there to make us feel better but she made us feel as if we were bothering her with our problems. It then took another 20 minutes just to receive to go boxes. Another waitress had to bring us refills because ours just never came back. When expressing to Vickie one last time about our bad experience she again acted like it wasn't that big of a deal. read more

I have been looking forward to our upcoming visit to Cheddars. It's been a long time and I live on the north side of Indy. To say I was disappointed would be a complete understatement. First off, I'm handicapped and unable to walk or get up. They put us in a booth and my husband had to literally put me in the booth. (Embarrassing). Next, there was no designated place to put my wheelchair so we ultimately had to block the aisle. After settling that fiasco, here comes the next problem. Our server. He never came back for refills, until we were clearly done eating. He never offered guidance for paying our tab. Never offered dessert choices. But our waitress Jeannie was very good. She was attentive enough to our table and at least communicated about the food. My favorites would be their chicken tenders( most delicious tenders ever, moist and fresh!) and I love their butter croissants (fresh and tastes amazing). Cheddars has been a favorite for a while since I've moved up into greenwood and started exploring the scratch kitchen options and they had never disappointed. I haven't been back since before March and all the COVID started and I'm very sad to see how changed their menu is. It was sweet, a little sweeter than I like but I drank it all! I had the Caesar salad and it was ok, nothing great. Dressing was a little odd, not what I'm used to on a Caesar salad. But I ate it all. I had the 20oz rib eye bone in, with fries and country green beans. The steak was a nice cut of meat and cooked perfectly. I had a huge pile a fries and a ramekin of beans.
