lincoln square never misses when it comes to the food or customer service . it's the average breakfast spot . clean and cozy , but nothing too spectacular . i came alone and was quickly seated . i sat at the counter top so i wouldn't take up a whole table . they weren't too crowded for an early saturday afternoon . my waitress was very attentive and friendly . i had the pancake platter and a mimosa . i will say the mimosas are larger than average and expected , but really good none the less . i do wish this location had better parking . for the amount of ppl they're able to seat on the inside , you'd think they'd have more parking .

My husband and I have frequented this Lincoln Square. Today our waitress handed us something and asked us to put it in the table. It stated that you have a time limit on your dining experience. We got our food quickly but not even 5 minutes after receiving our food the waitress brought us our check. I used to enjoy the service as the waiters and waitresses (other than one older white woman) were attentive and very kind. While the food has stayed the same I am definitely disappointed in the dining experience we had today.

Lincoln square is an Indy staple, and provides arguably the best bang for your buck for any brunch place. The Alex Skillet is a go to of mine, which has a southwestern spin on a breakfast skillet. The flavors are robust and numerous. I also tried the biscuits and gravy, but was a little underwhelmed. The gravy was a thinner consistency than I'm used to, and lacked robust flavor (maybe a lack of seasoning or sausage). All in all, Lincoln Square always fulfills my brunch craving.

We decided to try this local breakfast spot out today around 56th and Binford. We got there around 9AM and the parking was full, luckily there is a dollar tree next door with additional parking. There was no wait getting seated which was great and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. They have a very diverse menu from more traditional breakfast items such as skillets, B&GS, pancakes, and a variety of benedict's, to breakfast nachos! We both got specialty french toasts: Banana bread french toast and Cinnamon roll french toast. Both were so delicious! The only reason i can't give this place 5 stars is because the sides were quite expensive and small. A side of sausage gravy for $4 is just too much in my opinion. OVERALL great place for a casual breakfast/brunch!

The restaurant has a nice friendly atmosphere. From the time I step into the restaurant the staff was very friendly and helpful. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and checked to make sure the food was okay. The prices at the restaurant was great and I feel that you got a lot of food for the price. I love how they had a turkey sausage and turkey bacon option. It's always great when restaurants have these options. Also, the restaurant was very clean and the bathroom was too. I had got the create your own omelette and it came with hash brown and toast. The taste of the food was okay though.

Half order of biscuits and gravy, with a double stack of pancakes in the background.

Our son was craving pancakes when we were in town for a soccer tournament recently, and that's how we found the Lincoln Square Pancake House. The menu is loaded with so many yummy options, it was really tough to decide what to order. We'll just have to come back again so that I can try additional selections. I ended up ordering the French Toast, since the bread is made especially for Lincoln Square Pancake House by a local bakery, and a half portion of biscuits and gravy. My son ordered both French Toast and Pancakes, while my husband ordered a dish called the Lincoln Skillet, which was filled with hashbrowns, sausage gravy, peppers, a meat of your choice, then topped with two eggs (your choice of style). And if that isn't enough, the Lincoln Skillet also comes with your choice of pancakes, mini waffles,, French Toast, or toast. Our server was Brandy, who was very nice and patient while we asked questions and made our final decisions. Served with whipped cinnamon butter, the French Toast was truly the best I have ever eaten. And talk about filling! Needless to say, it's best to dine here with a completely empty stomach. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and both my husband and son loved them. Despite being full, I also sampled a bite of hashbrowns from my husband's dish, and I loved them, particularly when topped with a little sausage gravy. My husband felt that the gravy needed a little more umpf but I liked it as is. Of course, he tends to like spicier foods than I do. The next time you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend that you drop in for a bite. The restaurant is clean, everyone is wearing masks, and the service is extremely fast and friendly. Bon appetit!

Coffee could be stronger

First time coming here. There was barely anyone inside. Decided to give it a try. Ordered coffee and was weak , not strong at all . When I added 2 creamer, it became so water down. My partner ordered chicken and waffles. Was only given 1 small flat fried chicken. The chicken is good, but small and flat and waffles were soft inside and crispy outside. The butter for the waffle was the best one. I got the spicy chicken with fries and Italian wedding soup, it was ok. It's funny that the fried chicken in my sandwich , is the same as in fried chicken and waffle. The fried chicken is good but it's just small and flat. There was a sauce inside the sandwich that I did not care for so I just scrape it off. Asked for mayo and got 3 packets... ok. I thought it was going to come in a small cup, I guess not. Our server is nice and gave her a very good tip. Speaking of tip , I left it on the table for her. We got up and ready to leave , gf had to use the bathroom so I sat on the chair near the door. The clean up guy , cleared the table we were at and noticed he took the tip. I watched him if he was going to give it to her but he did not. I just rolled my eyes and thought it as shameful. I should of just handed to her. If we do decide to come back, I would like to try their French toast breakfast. I did notice that a turkey patty is $6 ,damn , a bit much for a patty, don't you think? Coffee could be stronger though.

Oatmeal and sourdough toast

Service was alright. I honestly don't know if this was a kitchen or server mess up, but the food came out staggered...my little niece she's 3 years old was so hungry and her food didn't get out til dang near the end. As well as my oatmeal I asked for blueberries and strawberries and granola and some rye toast and the first bowl she bought had bananas, which I am allergic to so Ik I told her no bananas. My sister asked for her bacon to be crispy and it wasn't even the second round it wasn't and I ended up getting a sourdough toast instead of rye I believe and it was a whole mess honestly, I've never received this kind of service when coming here so I was definitely surprised. I think we will stick to other locations

Eggs benedict

Popped in to this place on a busy Saturday morning. Had to wait only about 5-10 minutes for a table to open up. There is a ton of seating inside and they do have signs to limit guests to staying for a maximum of an hour and a half at this time. Quick coffee service and ordering. A huge menu with lots of options whether it's eggs benedict, a skillet scramble, pancakes, waffles etc. They have something to suit everyone. I ordered the eggs benedict. Definitely a no in my book. I had my fiance try the hollandaise and he agreed it was bad. It wasn't bad as in it was going to make me sick or anything but the flavors were so far off it just tasted pretty awful. Steer clear of this menu item! The hash browns it came with were cooked perfect though and I have high praises about those! I got a side of bacon and was also impressed at how thick cut the bacon was.

I ordered a biscuit sandwich with turkey sausage, egg, pepper jack, and hot honey (not on the menu, but just ask for the Fire and Ice biscuit). When it first came out, I had a quick "where's the rest?" moment, but it turned out to be surprisingly filling and really flavorful. I paired it with the tiramisu cappuccino and loved it--rich, smooth, and a little indulgent in the best way. The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. I can honestly say I have not had soup this delicious in a long time. This is one of those times when I want Yelp to offer more stars, because I want to give this place even more than five stars. I wish I could say that I found La Casa de las Sopas myself. But really, it was a tenacious friend who found La Casa de las Sopas for me. You see, I was in search of albondigas: a Mexican meatball and vegetable soup. It's a simple dish, and pretty common in Latin communities. I wanted to eat it on a meaningful day: the anniversary of my mom's death, because albondigas was her favorite food. But it was surprisingly difficult for me to find a restaurant in Indy that served this dish. But lo: La Casa de las Sopas emerged from a deep-dive search! These guys are hiding in plain sight. They are posted up in a cool mid-century modern building right off of Shadeland Avenue and 38th Street. They aren't on Yelp (well, now they are) and they don't have a website, but they're there on the east side, quietly making the best Central American / Mexican soup in Indianapolis. My server did not speak English, and I only spoke a little broken Spanish. So keep that in mind when you visit! Maybe have Google Translate pulled up. I ordered the albondigas, and she told me, "No." Then pointed to the menu and said "yes" to the soup they did have. What?! You mean I came to this restaurant on the day my mom died to eat a special soup, and now I'm not going to eat that soup?! Somewhat dejectedly, I ordered the caldo de res (beef soup). I asked in my most primitive Spanish: "Albondigas otro dia?" (Another day meatball soup?) She said tomorrow. But then a few minutes later, like magic, the server emerged from the back and said, "Albondigas, yes!" I got so excited that I think I clapped my hands and danced in my seat. My albondigas dream would soon come true. Now that I think about it, I might have looked so desperate for Mexican meatball soup that the server might have asked the kitchen to make me some. If so, ay dios mio! What service! I don't know what happened in between me being sad at the possibility of no albondigas soup and receiving my albondigas soup in front of my face, but it was nothing short of a miracle. There really are no words for the albondigas soup at La Casa de las Sopas. It was even better than the soup my mom made -- especially the broth. I could have just drank the unctuous, meaty broth by itself. There were several big rice-studded meatballs in the soup. The soup also had chunks of potato and carrot, all swimming in that beautiful broth. On the side, you get a dish of rice. I suggest taking a spoonful of rice and dunking it in the broth and eating that comforting spoonful in one bite. You also get homemade corn tortillas. The tortillas looked and tasted like they were freshly pressed and pan fried. My entire albondigas dish was so much more than I expected in every way. The restaurant itself is so pretty. Flowers and vines hang from the ceiling, and there are selfie spots with neon signs to take photos. And the restrooms! I don't usually comment on the restrooms at restaurants unless they're extraordinary, but the restrooms here are spotless. The whole restaurant is spotless, really. You can tell that these guys put a lot of thought and effort into decorating and creating a space to enjoy delicious soup.
