Good food, service and pay via QR code on the receipt. I had the french toast and ice coffee. First Watch is a good brunch spot!

I've been wanting to try this upscale cafe in a local strip mall for sometime. We stopped for early Sunday breakfast. The staff is friendly and we were seated immediately. The dining room has a country farmhouse vibe with a mix of tables and booths. The menu offers a mix of heathy and trendy breakfast and lunch options. I opted for the Power Wrap. I'm not usually a turkey lover, but the blend of egg whites, turkey, spinach and mushrooms was delicious. The fruit side was perfectly ripe and fresh. I loved my breakfast. A special summer menu offers fun brunch cocktails and summer-themed food options. My husband ordered the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread off of the Summer menu. He devoured the big round of cornbread and said it was the perfect breakfast. Weird, I know. Marri-Anna, our server, was super friendly, accommodating and efficient. Since we were first timers, she offered us samples of two of their freshly made, fruit juices. I tried the Morning Meditation which was a blend of orange, beet, lemon, ginger and agave nectar. The juice was earthy, colorful and delicious. My husband tried the Purple Haze which was a blend of lemon, sugar, pea flower tea and lavender. He loved the juice. I'd come back just for the juices. There is plenty of parking and a really nice patio with covered tables and seating where dogs are welcome. Five star service and great food makes First Watch a winner in my book.

Kids Half Waffle, Bacon & Egg

This was my first time trying First Watch. I tried looking up a meal before arrival via the website but I couldn't decide on anything. Upon arrival it to my surprise, their menu is much bigger in person. With so many choices to choose from, I settled on the half waffles with a side fruit as well with some bacon and eggs. I would highly recommend.

Service isn't as engaging but they food is always fresh! I will say potato quantity depends on who's in the kitchen. Thus was the first time I was ever served a portion like this but the server did bring me another order.

Things I found a bit chaotic, the waitlist process and the parking lot. The food was a little under seasoned or not seasoned at all... nothing some cracked pepper & chaloula couldn't help. However, I can tell they use quality eggs & potatoes for the dish I chose. Our server Aliza was nice & checked on us frequently. I'm going to come back but on a week day next time.

I remember around 8 years ago that the menu wasn't that impressive so never went back. Gave them a try again couple years ago due to hearing that their menu has changed. And it's been a good breakfast diner for us. I have always had the Traditional breakfast but adding extra egg and sausage, it was very filling. Bacon was also very crispy. The pesto bowl also was great in taste. Service has been also good, even on a busy day. They have outdoor seating on warm weather. Have been a repeat customer here. Forgot to mention, they also now have online payment for convenience.

Very loud atmosphere on the day I was there. Friendly servers. Food quality was less than I had expected. I loved my seasonal drink however. Okay spot if you need something to eat or drink and aren't in a hurry.

Busy but good breakfast spot. We went there for Sunday brunch and unsurprisingly there were many people waiting. We gave them our name and were told it will be about 30 minutes. And we got a text saying our table is ready, it was a bit over 30 minutes. We were escorted to this 2-top table right in front of the kitchen entrance with bright white light and busy foot traffic. I thought that was an awkward to spot to put a table in. Luckily, there were other tables available and we were seated there instead after asking the hostess nicely. It was very busy and the service was a bit slow. Our server did the minimum, and was not friendly. She took our orders, brought us our dishes, asked us if everything is ok, and never came back until we had to wait for a while and find her to request a check. My omelette was so delicious! It had Italian sausages and veggies, cheese. Their menu is so extensive and it was not easy to choose. Their seasonal menu items also looked good.

Visited First Watch on 86th St. Very cute breakfast place. Service was great from all staff. One server even helped my Mom put on her coat. I had the granola, fruit and yogurt which came with a large muffin. My Mom had the biscuits and gravy with potatoes. It was huge. I like that they give you coffee carafes and don't have to wait for refills. We went during the week which was perfect. I'll assume weekends are packed. We will be going back!

Delicious kale yeah juice

It's admittedly been awhile since my last First Watch visit. We ended up choosing this spot for our recent breakfast date for two key reasons- 1.) plenty of heathy options on the menu and 2.) it's located a few doors down for. Trader Joe's (can it get any better than that?) Another great reason we discovered along the way is that they offer "join the waitlist" before you arrive. I first encountered First Watch years ago when hosting a Yep event. I'm so glad to add it back into our rotation with this 86th street location. It's hard to beat the healthy kale juice, power wrap featuring turkey, spinach, egg whites and mozzarella and a guilty-pleasure lemon ricotta pancake for a shared appetizer. The staff was very friendly and on top of things. I also appreciated all of their little touches to show of where ingredients and materials for the restaurant are sourced. Looking forward to our next visit already!

It's been a while but the food is always consistently good. Pretty hard to miss up a good thing. Service was quick and too for our large table.

Salmon and vegetable omelette
Patricia M.

I stopped here the other day for breakfast. They have a great selection. I ordered the smoked salmon and vegetable omelet. It came with a choice of breakfast fries or salad. I chose the salad. It also had a small piece of toast that accompanied it. The omelette was open face so really more a frittatta. It was filled with salmon and was tasty but I would have liked more vegetables and maybe a little dill. The salad of lettuce was okay- nothing to write about. The bread was a little too crunchy. Coffee was excellent as was service.

My breakfast was scrumptious!!! The food was hot, fresh, and right on time! We didn't have to wait long to eat, and the service was quick. On a Sunday mid morning place was packed but service was holding their own! They were getting tables turned over quickly and customers fed!! My family ate very happily with no issues! I enjoyed the farmhouse skillet with avocado, eggs, potatoes, and bacon topped with cheese. I had some delicious thick toast buttered and a side of jam! One of my favorite items was the million dollar bacon! Must have!

I was stuck between ordering the Hot Chicken Benny, which was on special, and the Pork Tenderloin Benny. The waitress convinced me to go with the Hot Chicken since they only have it a couple of times throughout the year. I was happy I ended up listening. It's a biscuit, spicy fried chicken breast, 2 eggs (cooked to preference), jalapenos, hollandaise, and jalapeno honey. It comes with side of potatoes, which were cooked to perfection: outsides crispy and the insides tender. They are very flavorful. It was spicy, but not too spicy to where you couldn't enjoy it. The biscuit was fluffy and flavorful - and the whole dish was worth getting a second time. Others in my party got the biscuits and gravy with eggs, children's 3 silver dollar pancakes, and the breakfast quesadilla. I tried everything except the quesadilla, and all of them were delicious. The quesadilla looked awesome and I will definitely be trying that when I come back. The inside was much bigger than I imagined. It looks like a small spot from the outside. However, it accommodates a large number of guests. We went early Sunday (9am) and it was the perfect time in terms of being able to get right in and get a table with a party of 6. I was told there is usually a wait later in the morning. The place is not too loud and perfect for all age groups. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful with any questions on the menu.

Over the past year or two, I've slowly faded out my visits to a certain popular coffee establishment with a name shared by a character on Battlestar Galactica. So, when a friend told me about The Haverstick, I needed to check it out! I'm so glad I did. It has become my go-to office of choice! Housed in a community center of a local church, the environment has dim lighting and soft music. A perfect place to get focused and stay focused. They have a coffee bar that also offers a few food options. The coffee is good and very affordable. The staff is always friendly. There is usually only one person staffing the coffee shop, but they get to your order quickly. You just may have to wait if there is a large group, as happened to me once. But no worries. Simply have a seat and get to work, and they will call your name when your beverage and/or food is ready to pickup. The Haverstick is less a coffee shop and more a community shared-space work environment that offers coffee. They have a lot of comfortable chairs and tables of various sizes. The room is wide open and you never feel crowded, even if there is a decent amount of people. However, it's usually only a handful of other people around, so it's a great place to get things done. They also have conference rooms for rent. I'm grateful this church has opened its doors to the public and offers such a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. I look forward to returning soon and getting some more work done.

I tried the gravy on some of the sourdough bread and it had a great flavor. The biscuits and gravy will probably be something I order next time because it was so good. When I read they season their sausage in-house I knew I had to try it even though I wanted the Benedict. The Norwegian Potato Cake was a delight! Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars.
