I've been here twice now in the past couple years. It's super busy on weekends so prepare to wait. This is the kind of place you want to have coffee and breakfast with your favorite person or get together with friends and enjoy amazing brunch foods. First things first, you have to get their homemade artisan toast as your side. If you deviate from this, you will be sad. Their bread is baked fresh and it is healthy and makes me feel better by eating it with jam. Ok, the food choices are all good. We shared a candied bacon appetizer (doesn't look like they carry this anymore) and I had the Farmhouse Hash and it was beautiful and tasty. Go check it out and enjoy eating a great breakfast without feeling too unhealthy! read more

First time going to first watch. I've heard of it a few times and decided to try it out today with my family. Customer Service: Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as we took a bit of time to look over the menu. Answered questions my mother had and was always sure to come by and ask how things are. The Space: It was clean and inviting. Seating wasn't cramped and the table and floors were rid of debris. Food: I had the Trifecta white my little brother had the other basic breakfast. The Belgian waffle was very light and fluffy and the syrup was to die for! Reminded me a little bit of Cracker Barrel's. The chicken sausage was meh, and I only got one patty while at other places you'd probably usually get too. First Watch is def more on the healthier side of things compared to an average breakfast spot. Which isn't bad but also something to know if you want more of a full feeling or a little more meat for the bang for your buck. While I don't think I'd essentially come back for a meal anytime soon I do want to try one of their juices! They looked really good from what I saw and had some interesting ice coffee options too. read more

New spot hubby and I visited for brunch. I really enjoyed the food selections. Although busy, we did "Get In Line" through their website and was immediately seated upon arrival. Nice ambiance with spacious booth seating. The service was okay, our waitress (very nice) was extremely busy and at times made us feel rushed to place our order and close out our bill. Visited First Watch on a busy Sunday morning and had a wonderful experience. Our server (Kat) was incredible and shared a few tips about the menu that were appreciated. We shared a Morning Meditation Juice which is a wild blend of flavors, but is something to behold. Beautiful colors, too. My better half had a colorful salad and I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were delicious, even if the pancakes stuffed me to the gills. A favorable experience all the way around. Highly recommended read more

Stop by first watch for brunch this morning before my flight out of town. We had the best server! It was such a clean and friendly environment. This location is perfect as well right in the middle the north side of town. We had the Baja turkey burger and also tried the cauliflower chorizo breakfast tacos. Delicious. read more

2902 W. 86th ST, Indy Sun 10AM 11-19-23 Our server Ashley was Outstanding, from the minute we arrived, until Tea and Coffee's to go. The Avocado Toast with 2 eggs and the Works Omelet were served quickly and no to-go boxes needed! Even though the store was full, it was well staffed and no long wait. A very pleasant experience, Bravo! Just a side note, Denny's told there was a 25 minute "Hold" for seating + 20 mins extra to order and get food, as they only had 3 servers. I visited this First Watch for the first time yesterday, on a Sunday. I was in the area after finishing a hike with the Indianapolis Hiking Club and planning to shop at Trader Joe's afterwards. I was not previously aware there was a First Watch in this strip shopping plaza. I decided to place a to go order. I asked if their location was just as good as the Greyhound Pass location. The gentleman said it was even better. Sadly they were not. I ordered my usual Bacado omelette with fruit as my side. The omelette was not nearly as large, has much less bacon, and far less flavor. The toast was also not as good and I didn't receive a packet of jelly/jam. I look forward to that as I don't typically eat toast at all. I look forward to this with the meal including the butter and jam. The fruit was the best part of the meal. I believe the container was a little larger and there was more variety than I've been receiving lately at the Greyhound Pass location. I will not return to this location as I felt it was far inferior to both the Greyhound Pass, 86th /Keystone location and the Miami Beach Gardens FL location I've eaten at several times (same order Bacado). read more

This was a great experience. Good food and good service. We needed a larger table for our family and a gentleman noticed that the hostess was having a hard time fitting two tables together. So he moved to a different table so we could use his table to make it big enough. Chivalry is a lost art! It was refreshing and we greatly appreciate how helpful everyone was! Friendly and cheerful vibe we'd definitely eat here again! read more

Okay. I just recently found a love for this place thanks to my cousin for suggesting the Chikichanga. And oh is it GOOD! However, I am not here to review on that. I needed food desperately and had just got back from a trip in need of something tasty. I looked online as o was debating between here and Garden Table and saw that the seasonal menu had a Chicken Pesto Hash #SOLD. I arrived and Leah was our server. She was very pleasant and welcoming. I had mentioned I wanted to try a juice. 5 minutes later she came with a juice flight taste tester for my cousin and I. My heart was SO happy. The juices were ALL so good and had their own unique taste. My pesto hash was well seasoned, hot and absolutely delicious. I left so satisfied and content. Highly recommend the hash and First Watch has my vote to permanently put it on the menu lol. read more

I have eaten at many First Watch's in the past including Arizona where I ordered daily when I was deployed for a FEMA event with Covid. So, the food is generally the same everywhere and good. When they opened the 86th street, I was super excited to get breakfast. We have been three times since opening. The host stand area and when you pay, they are very kind but the waitstaff when you are ordering is quite different. It is difficult to get them and they are getting away from you as quick as possible. That I do understand the place is generally very busy. The last time I ordered the pancakes and when they came, I am not sure what I expected, but I could not eat them. This was not the restaurants fault, it was mine. They were a protein type pancake and not edible. No biggee! I told the waitress and said, this is my fault I will pay for this but can we put in another order for a bowl to go since my hubby was already half done with his food. Not a problem. We waited for a long time and then finally just got up to open our table for someone else and paid. I paid for both meals and then sat around for another 20 minutes or so waiting on my to-go order. I do understand that they were busy, but 30 minutes plus was a long time and I was just about to leave without anything. So, not sure what or why, but the staff on other occasions have been sub par. That is the only gripe. The food is generally very good and the place is always busy. read more

We went on a Saturday morning around 9am, which seemed like the perfect time-- not too busy at all. I was impressed with how quickly the food was ready. It was also SOOOO delicious and fresh. Good - For Breakfast I have to start this review by admitting that I'm not a huge fan of breakfast food. If you are, you'll probably give First Watch five-stars. I thought the restaurant was quite good. The food was well presented, and delivered quickly. My only complaint with the menu would be a few more full-sized options for vegetarian/vegan guests. My meal was good, but not outstandingly memorable. My favorite part of the meal was a fresh juice blend, which was super delicious; it featured pomegranate and cinnamon. Yum! The staff at First Watch was friendly and helpful, and were even great about offering suggestions from the menu. The decor was simple, and the restaurant itself was clean and well lit. If you're in the area, and a breakfast fan, First Watch is probably going to be a hit for you! read more

Really love First Watch! We have never gotten anything that we haven't liked. Everything is wonderful. They also have an awesome cookbook that I looked at while we waited for our food. Weekday brunch post Labor Day. Had to get important stuff done and I needed a change of location. Walked in at 12. 1* cause of server Jessica - her rush and speed to get me out of the place was just not acceptable. No waiting lines, again a weekday, and she asked for my order twice in 2 minutes, got my bill ahead of time when I didn't even get my coffee in the very end (I like my coffee while wrapping up my meal) and kept saying no rush but kept rushing me into everything. I wrapped up in 50 minutes! I am not sure if Jessica is rated on speed of getting customers out of the door but that was poor service! Understand what your customer needs esp when its NOT weekend! I understand totally understand weekend chaos and its a lot for servers to manage. Ordered salmon bagel and shrimp grits. Salmon was cold till served. Overall sorry do not recommend. read more

The menu looked fantastic! Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the menu hype. I ordered the avocado toast that came with 2 basted eggs, and an order of turkey sausage. The eggs and sausage were cold and my toast was burned. The waitress was super nice and brought me another slice of avocado toast but my question is why would the cook send out burned toast anyway?? My husband had some sort of egg skillet. He ordered it without onions. Of course there were big chucks of onions he had to weed out because he was too hungry to send it back. Very disappointing. read more

Another Doctor visit with testing for hubby. He was hungry after being NPO. Decided we would try a new place. Happy we chose this one. We all had sandwiches, salad and soup. Everything was delicious. Good food. Mostly good service. They have an online waitlist which was perfect. I was able to check in while getting ready before arriving. It was a Sunday at noon so I'm glad I did because there were plenty of people waiting when I arrived. You check in once you arrive which can also take a second because there is one hostess which is also cashing out guests as you pay up front instead of at the table. My party was seated shortly after checking in. The purple haze was really good. It was sweet and sour and tasty. I love the coffee here. Unlimited refills for $3 plus they have oatmilk creamer (oatmeal cookie flavored)! I got the half roast beef sandwich and half honey pecan salad. Both were really good. $10 can't beat that. There was plenty of food. Our server didn't come back after we put in our food for a long time. We were halfway finished with our food and had to flag her down before she came back. I have to say in the beginning she was very quick and attentive. Had coffee ready as soon as we sat down. read more

I was excited when this chain came to town but our experience wasn't that great this past weekend. While they were busy, it took a good 15 minutes just for our server to bring us water and it was almost 90 degrees out. First Watch is always good. The biscuits and gravy are my favorite in the AM. The chicken pesto is my fav for lunch.

Went in for breakfast on a Saturday. Requested and received immediate outdoor seats. Server was friendly. My partner and I both ordered drinks, I had a mimosa and they had a pomegranate sunrise. Partner had carrot cake pancakes which they would not even share because they were so yum. I got the carnitas tostada. Egg was requested as over medium and it was over hard. Not a really big deal, and didn't distract from the deliciousness that was on my plate. We didn't know until we were looking up the pomegranate sunrise that the restaurant was a chain. It didn't have a chain feel at all. read more

Unbelievable. After ordering our food, the biscuit and gravy shareable arrived to our table in a small round dish. It was cold and inedible. We had two choices, suck it up and say nothing or send back to the kitchen. We were really hungry so, we made the difficult decision to inform our waitress. A short time later, the table next to us complained about the same issue with the biscuit and gravy. A short time passed and our waitress showed up with a large white messy plate. She sat it down in the middle of our table. There was a biscuit was pushed to one side and a very tiny portion of gravy on top. The more I looked at the plate, I thought something is off here. The biscuit was missing a piece from the top portion and the gravy to biscuit ratio was way off. I knew that this had to be without a doubt another customer's leftover plate. I asked the waitress if we could speak to the manager. She obliged. Almost at that exact same time, the manager was walking to our table with a fresh order of biscuit and gravy in a small round dish. I kindly asked her to explain what this large white plate was, she asked me where that came from. I explained that the waitress delivered it to our table about 5-10 minutes prior. She said she was appalled and I agreed. To be given a plate that another customer had already eaten off of, is disgusting. The manager didn't offer to remove this item from the bill. We received our bill and I noticed that the Belgium waffle had been taken off our bill. Which I thought was strange. I took our check to the cash register and I notice immediately once I receive my receipt, that the amount I was charged did not match the amount on my receipt (I was charged $52, when my bill was $41). When I asked the cashier to locate my old receipt, she acted as if she could not locate it. There was no explanation as to why my receipt and the amount charged were different, especially since I left a cash tip. The cashier stated that in order to make it right, she'd have to credit the original transaction and run a whole new one. I informed her that I would pass on that. I am shocked by the lack of food quality and customer service at this restaurant. I can't remember the last time that I was served cold food at a restaurant. Surely this would be a department of health concern. Additionally, the manager could have credited us or even voided out the transaction entirely due to the situation but she chose not too. Future customers, please be vigilant to ensure that the amount charged is the same amount reflected on your original ticket. read more

Maybe it's just our luck but we've been there 3x and each time something has gone wrong. First the server forgot to input our order. We sat for over 45 min without food. 2nd time our food was completely wrong. 100% the wrong order. So we waited. 3rd time we checked in online. When arriving at the restaurant, we spoke with the hostess and she said it would be 20 min. After watching multiple people that arrived after us get seated, we finally spoke up and was told to calm down, Magically there was a table available. Don't get me wrong. The food is delicious. But I hope your experience is better than ours. read more

We just got a to go order so this review will just be about the food. Although the hostest was very nice. We got the hacienda, avacado toast, and bacado omlette. The avacado toast was very good and flavorful. The eggs that came with it were very bland. The hacienda was average, but overall all the ingredients were under seasoned. The bacado omlette was the same. The amount of food for the price is pretty good, but there needs to be more seasoning in their kitchen. The potatoes didnt taste like they had much at all.
