I love trying new places and my husband did good picking this one last week after we dropped our pup off at Indy Vet. Despite it being a freezing cold windy Wednesday at about 2pm and there being only other table of 2 in the restaurant, our waitress was super nice and our food was hot and delicious. I had a few food preferences that would change my order next time, like the honey mustard was soooo sweet. I halved it with normal yellow mustard and it was perfect for my hot ham and cheese. I wish the tenderloin would have had just a little more flavor or salt to the breading but it was cooked perfect otherwise! The pickles were good but they were soooo hot and fresh, even after cutting them in half to cool for several minutes, it still burnt me. Next time I go I want to try other stuff, but over all, it was a great spot! It seemed clean and the had worked hard decorating it for Christmas which I always appreciated. read more

I have lived down the street for so many years and kept meaning to try this place but just finally tried it. We really liked it! It's smaller on the inside than I expected, maybe 25 tables and a bar, but it was still comfortable. It was fairly busy on a Saturday around 1pm. My mom ordered the classic cheeseburger and liked it but loved the battered fries. My brother ordered the ham and cheese panini and while it looked small it was packed full of ham. I had the chopped steak and onion rings and really liked it. The chopped steak had a nice cheese crust. The onion rings were really good. Our server was quick and checked on us often. We stopped on a Sunday, around 11:30. The lunch crowd was trickling in and we were seated quickly. Our waiter was attentive and had our drinks served up and appetizer order in within a short time. We wanted to try several things, so we opted for both the breaded mushrooms and onion rings tower. Both were fantastic! Onion rings were the beer battered kind (not panko kind) and mushrooms were huge! Both made in house. For entrees, we went with the Reuben and chopped steak. Hubby really enjoyed his chopped steak. I stole a few sweet potato fries and they were really good. The corned beef on the Reuben was very flavorful. We had ordered carryout for St Patty's day and tried the corned beef. We were greeted and sat right away. The waitress was attentive. The soup was really thick and very dark/flavorful. It wasn't served in a typical crock. The chef salad seemed a little small. The Rueben was average. The wedge was good but I am glad I got the hot bacon dressing on the side. They have daily specials that aren't on the menu so check with your server or the blackboard behind the bar. We usually sit at the bar because the service is usually great. I would recommend starting with the pubhouse pretzels. The cheese sauce is where this appetizer really shines. My husband usually gets the wings and says they are good. I can also say the burgers, patty melt, and thin crust pizzas are also delicious. 4/5 stars because it is typical bar food. But they do have great service and good food. Others at the table disagreed; depends on your preference. Regardless, nice seasoning. Steak Tip Salad was quite bland. This is my first time here, even though it's been here for a long time, and I don't live far away. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly young man who also was our server. He was very nice, and since there were very few people in the restaurant, he seemed to handle all the jobs pretty well. I would think if it got really busy, he and it looks like one other server might struggle with taking care of everyone. But for us, it was fine. the interior of the restaurant and bar is fine. Sports/football memorabilia on the walls, though mostly it seemed to be a big bar with maybe 10 or 12 booths spread out in the open space. A bunch of TVs with sporting events on, but it seemed like the bar was the main focus. as for the food, I ordered bleu burger which came with french fries. It had all the toppings on it lettuce pickles mayonnaise and tomatoes. The burger was cooked well, hot and fresh, but the bun on 1/2 was very hard (too hard to bite through.). So I had to eat about half of the burger without any bun, but it was still very good. The fries were good hot fresh crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Wonderful food. We started off with the onion stack of perfectly cooked onion rings. The sriracha ranch dipping sauce was superb. I had the Hoosier breaded pork tenderloin with tater tots, they were perfectly cooked crunchy and delicious. We ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza. The pizza should have been called BBQ bacon bit pizza because that was all you could taste. Lightly drizzled BBQ sauce, left the pizza dry. The chicken that was on the pizza was dry and flavorless. The manager didn't charge us for the pizza so we ordered a club to go. No bacon on the club. Sat in the window until I got up and got it which it took over a half a hour to get the club. We weren't given an opportunity to order drinks while we were waiting and when I did order the drinks,they were sitting there and were watered down (meaning they had been sitting there for a minute) with the receipt on top drinks which one corner was in the drink. Meaning, I got up and got the drinks. They weren't busy, there were 3 servers and a bartender. It is a small place. For being an Irish Pub you would have thought they would have had more Irish specials to offer. It was a horrible experience. The manager made us feel like we were a problem. I'll never go back. We kept hearing about this place so finally decided to try it. The atmosphere is comfortable, a quieter bar and grill. The host is energetic and set a positive tone for our experience. The menu offers a variety of great options! My husband got the tenderloin sandwich and it got the Gouda turkey panini. They were both delicious! The service was excellent. I saw different dishes being served and it all looked good! One guy had a steak that looked sooo good so I had to go back and try it. It was a 21oz strip that was about 4 inches thick. I've been here several times. But after tonight, not sure I'll be back. Ordered a ribeye medium rare. Took the better part of an hour to arrive. During that time, no refills. I had to walk to the bar to refill my friend's soda. Server was MIA. The steak came out well done. Server immediately took it back. She was going to take the whole plate, but I asked to keep the fries. Another huge amount of time and the second steak arrived. Also over cooked. But an ever so slight pink center. I wasn't going to send it back again. My friend was completely finished with her meal before the steak came back. It was overly fatty and gristle-y. Not sure if the cook was announced that it was a re-do or what, but I'd say 1/3 of the steak was inedible. The restaurant wasn't slammed by any means but there were multiple tables. During my whole steak situ, another patron had to walk up to the server and ask for their check. (She also noticed our server was MIA for quite some time.) Checks arrived. My friend's bill was printed twice and given to each of us. Waited 5 minutes just to ask for the correct bill. Got my bill with no adjustment. I asked if they would discount the steak for all the trouble. The manager came to the table, and I told her that it was cooked wrong twice, but I wasn't going to send it back again. I told her that the server was pleasant, and I wasn't mad at the kitchen mess up. I just was frustrated it took so long to get in and out on a Monday evening. The manager took $4 and change off the $30 tab. I was shocked that's all she took off. Communication goes a long way. The staff should have let us know if they were short staffed, or the wait times on a steak would be an hour. They should have offered a side salad or something while I waited. I will say, the server did bring fresh potatoes with the new steak, that was nice. I'm just supremely shocked at how slow things were and they couldn't cook a steak correctly. I've been in the restaurant business before and communication is huge. It was my friends first visit and she said it was her last. I don't like eating at chain places, so I'm sad when the mark is missed so badly at a mom and pop place. read more

There's no greasy half rate burger, frozen fries, or boxed mozzarella sticks at this place. What you will find is delicious, freshly made food! I ordered the tenderloin and the fried mushrooms and hubby ordered a bacon cheeseburger with pepperjack. The mushrooms are unlike any I've every had. They're huge and more than enough for like 3 people. Suffice to say, I couldn't eat them all. The tenderloin is THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. All white meat, double breaded, light and crispy, hot juicy, marvelousness on a toasted brioche bun! Hubby said the cheeseburger was really good too. The French fries are house made and have perfect seasoning on them. Not only is the food above par for a pub but the service is too. I stopped by for a quick lunch at this Irish Pub/sports bar located on the end of a strip mall on the south east side. Inside, there's a sign to wait to be seated for the dining room. Although I was dining by myself, I chose not to sit in the bar that was behind a short wall beyond the dining area. I was taken to a 2-top table with a bench seat on one side. Silent sports television was playing on the numerous screens. I went with the Classic Reuben and fries for my meal. The Reuben has thick sliced grilled corned beef, a sauerkraut that was a bit more sour than most, Swiss cheese, 1000 Island dressing, and grilled rye. The fries had a crispy exterior like they were fried in duck fat (not sure what they used.) Both sandwich and fries were good and I'd recommend them. I love the hole in the wall vibe you get when you walk in. Super family friendly though when you see "Pubhouse" you think more bar vibe. They do have a bar, but it's just the bar top and pretty small. The decor is really nice for the small space. Not "modern" by any means but just a real homey vibe. There's a bunch random decorative pieces: -Guitar with "moonshine" written on it -Wall lights (like those you put up on your garage door for Christmas) -Rustic placks with random phrases -Many TVs (not gigantic but there are 8 of them, sooo I feel like it's okay. Lol) We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer and it was AMAZING. (See pic if you want a visual.) I can't remember the last time I've had a pretzel this good. The cheese was on point too. Note: if you aren't a spicy fan the cheese comes with two pieces of jalapeños on top so make sure you ask for it without that if you don't like those. I ordered the buffalo wings with the potato skins. They were sooo good! The wings came out a little dryer than I typically like so I asked for an extra side of the hot sauce and it was PERFECT. Also, I really appreciated how much actual meat was on the piece. Really great portion. And... 5/6 pieces were drum sticks which is abnormal to me! They make their own ranch which is awesome.
