I come here very often. I always order the chicken and shrimp with a baked potato and the broccoli and rice casserole. Always delicious! I never have the same server, but they're all friendly! I love their Texas Tea drink, full of vodka although you couldn't tell. The prices are unbeatable. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, so get there early! read more

We really want to like this place because the food is delicious but the service is not. After visiting three different locations, my family & I find ourselves wondering why we keep coming back. First time (Sugarland), could not cook a steak correctly to save a cow's life. As expected the manager stepped in & the item was taken off the check & a substitution meal was provided free of charge but our revised check was for another table. Despite all the confusion, our waiter was awesome and all things considered our experience was positive. Hence the next three visits... Second time, this location. No major incidents I can remember besides asking to move to a booth being akin to a conference on world peace but our waiter seemed to be on something...real jittery & had to be told things repeatedly. Third time (Beaumont), out of multiple items (one being a major component in multiple dishes) but didn't think it would be wise to tell people when they first come in (full disclosure, it was Mother's Day.) Waitress was ruuuudddeee. Fourth & final time(?), this location. Waited ten minutes so they could clean a table for us...no big deal...table was wet but still dirty. Hostess wiped it down with dry napkins....magic disinfectant I guess. Finally got someone with a wet rag to come over & wipe it. Enter our waitress, a sweet girl but not all there. Asked multiple times what we wanted to drink ignoring the fact that we had neither menu nor silverware. Ok it's just drinks but come on...big puzzle piece missing. Salads were ordered but went missing. Upon inquiring about them, "oh you want those before your food?" *crickets* Finally received salads to receive rest of meal 2 minutes later...received a cold meal I should say....so it was sitting in the window waiting on our salads which were coming with our meal? Seems kinda backwards.... Never mind the arctic AC temperature...I know this is Texas...but brrr...... If you go & decide to eat inside, take a jacket & have a lot of patience. Or better yet, don't go. Such a shame. read more

Good food! Reasonably priced, service was top notch! Really impressed with the entire waitstaff.

Service was horrible, food was great! Hostess was rude, the waitress was forgetful and slow. But my salmon was incredible. The overall experience was mediocre and distasteful. read more

As I posted previously, service here sucks. I went by yesterday at 5pm. I waited 10 minutes in the bar area and no one came to take my drink or food order. I went to the hostess stand to be seated a regular table. The restaurant was probably about 5% full. So, the hostess said she was looking for an available table that has a server because it was the change in shift and no one was available. Upon hearing this, I just walked out the door. read more

Same food you always expect but poor service and worse ambiance. My wife and I went at 5:15 pm on a Sunday, we were greeted with a loud restaurant and 40 minute wait. After being seated the waiter was slow to respond on all accounts. I know chedders isn't the destination for a romantic dinner but this was the most chaotic store I've been to in this chain. read more

If it was possible I would've rated this location zero stars! Although there was no wait, the table we we're sat at was dirty. The floor included had food from the previous guest. The seats we're also dirty. 3 waiters pasted the table up before asking for our drinks. We over heard one of the waiters state " well that's not my table". The waiter finally came and we put in our order. The appetizer came before our drinks. Not to mention we order waters. Wow! So next the food finally gets here! I ordered New Orleans pasta. My meat was sat on top of my plate cold. We didn't get any silverware to eat with. The waiter came out and assisted other tables and neglected our table. When asked for silverware he brought it out 10 mins later meanwhile my food getting colder. Again as I type this he's standing at the other table holding a conversation with them without even thinking we just want our check and we will be on our way. The music playing was k. Michelle judge me. I've never heard of a cheddars playing k. Michelle, at least not judge me. Last but not least the waiter! He was so darn ghetto!!!! He stated " Alrite bruh I'll get that for you, they fucking up back there in the kitchen"! Ghetto fabulous. I'm not your bruh! I'm not even related to you. We might be the same ethnicity but we are definitely not related! To sum it up! Never come to this cheddars!!! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Oh gosh! I just came out the bathroom where a female that clearly works in the kitchen (hair net and apron on) was using the bathroom. She washed her hands with only water them dried them on her apron! Gezz then went back into the kitchen. Gross. Nastiest place I've ever eaten at! read more

Waited 45 minutes for a table only to find out we had to wait another 30 minutes. When around the corner to Red Robin and got seated immediately. read more

Super dirty, sticky tables, dust everywhere, and services is lacking. The one on the southside on the beltway is way better. I can't say how disappointing this is because I normally like Cheddars. read more

I've been coming to this location for years! I have not been here for about 2 years and I have been wanting to come because I love their food. Well not this time. I came in with my dad, husband, and daughter. I understand that it can get busy. But wow! We waited over an hour to get our food!!!!! I ordered the New Orland's Pasta which is what I always get. First of, the portion was very small for the price, second, it was more salt then sauce. I am very disappointed and will never again come back. Food is gross. read more

Wonderful night last night at this location. Been coming here since 2015 when I moved to Houston. Best service ever last night from Bianca and best location to go to. Management and customer service has always been great here. Thanks a lot! read more

Steak was not even cooked to medium rare and told them to cook it again and still came out rare.

I love cheddars and always have. But the last time we came after our meal (my burnt up ribs) ‍ I ordered a Cookie Monster and the cookie was HARD, so I sent it back and got anotherHARD COOKIE. I could not understand how they were coming out of the oven hard. But was told that is how they come. I hope this issue has been resolved the Cookie Monster is my favorite. read more

First few times, maybe 2-3, my girlfriend and I came, the service was decent and timely, and the food was above average for the cost. Last 3 times we came before our visit today have been dreadful. They aren't busy, their wait staff won't acknowledge you for several minutes, even for a drink and the chefs have no idea how to cook a steak properly (ask for medium? Get well done). Also, my girlfriend was able to get grilled vegetables during one visit but the next the waiter had no idea what she was talking about - it's grilled vegetables, this isn't rocket science. We swore the restaurant off for the above reasons, at least this location. However, we were given giftcards and came back. We have not finished our dining experience yet, but we sat in a half empty restaurant with plenty of wait staff wondering around for 10 minutes before I asked someone to send a waiter over. I'm sure my steak will be under or over cooked. We know we'll have to ask for the check the minute we get or food or we'll be spending way too much time in a Cheddar's restaurant (which at this point is one minute). Avoid this place at all cost. read more

Absolutely disappointed with this locations lack of service and quality of food. I ate here on a Friday night and had the Shepard's pie. I previously ordered the onions rings which were on the sour side and I could not stomach. Having waited over Thirty minutes for my meal, I was only able to finish a quarter of it. I requested a to go box and took the rest home. Saturday I went to try and enjoy my leftovers and as soon as I plunged my fork into my mashed potatoes I hit something hard. What I found was appalling and unappetizing. A huge chunk of potato was not mashed at all and was just left lying in the middle of my meal. Had I found this at the restaurant I would have been flippant. I will not be eating here again and will not recommend this location to anyone, i'll stick to the barker cypress location as they seem to know how to service correctly and finish prepping their entrees. read more

Great food! Great Prices! Good drinks! Very affordable and we will be back! A lot of food for the price!

Overall the atmosphere was nice. Wait time was very manageable with he exception of having several large parties waiting. Now as far as the food and the waitress I was very displeased. I ordered steak and shrimp where I also asked for grilled shrimp to be topped on my steak with the addition of mushrooms. Needless to say I got the shrimps and mushrooms separate as sides not as I asked and how the menu stated it would be. Also, with the grilled shrimps I found a salsa sticker at the bottom of the bed of rice that it was served over that's stated "used before Monday." Now I know my meal didn't come with salsa neither did I ask for stickers letting me know when to use, but I dare not waste anymore time complaining of what wasn't right besides all the items were cold. read more

At 10:30pm on a Saturday they were short staffed & very slow! Sausage in the beans & rice was not very good. Lemon pepper chicken was great! Painkiller drink was very good! Mac n cheese was not the greatest. Cheddars in San Antonio is much better. This would be at the bottom of my favorite Cheddars location list. Wait staff is friendly, hard working, but it's hard to appreciate that when they have too many tables to take care of. read more

Horrible service. The restaurant was not busy-in fact there were more servers than customers. We were seated and 15 minutes went by and no one came to great us or give us drinks. DO NOT COME HERE! we saw several wait staff chit-chatting in the corner, looked over at us, and still ignored us. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My group of 4 was almost forgotten about it seems. It took almost an hour for our entrees to come out. We ordered an extra set of croissants and one of us ordered another drink. It never came. When I received my food, it was hanging off of the plate and touching the table. All of us were missing fries and the one person who got them, had cold fries. He ordered a steak medium well and it was well done. When the fries came finally, they were burnt. And on top of all of that, it's extremely hot I here. So hot it's uncomfortable. This location has completely ruined cheddars for me read more

So today (June 18,2016) went out to have dinner, we usually come to cheddars and never had a problem with the food or service. Unfortunately today it was a horrible experience. So as my gf and I were eating she chewed on something hard and it turned out to be a nail! We simply wanted to talk to the chef and we waited about 10 minutes. We got tired and went to look for the manager. He said "he didn't have the authority to let chef speak to us". My gf was really upset that she had to go through that. A hair you know eeeeh things happen, but a nail come on that's just unacceptable. read more

Service was pretty good....waiter was really nice and polite. Try the Cajun Pasta if you go here! Delicious!

The service here is terrible. The girls that are hostess are terrible. They have an attitude when you come in. They don't even greet you. If you can go to another cheddars please do!! If the service is like this can't imagine inside. read more

This place is trash! Staff is so rude. First time dining in at this location and haven't even been sat yet and i know i will not be returning. Ratchet presentation of staff they looked dirty and uneducated. getting quoted 15 minutes on a party of 9 was not accurate to begin with after waiting an hour and half we approached the ratchet hosts who caught an attitude stating she was not going to deal with it and she'd get a manager. this is a terrible location and needless to say we will never be returning. read more

Came here for my birthday. We love the food but the service is always found wanting. The service tonight was the worst we've ever had! It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring us our drinks (non-alcoholic) and when our food came, my food order had not been put in. I waited another 25 minutes before someone actually checked to see if my order was done. The staff here are lazy. They sit around on their phones and management doesn't seem to give a flying fuck about it! read more

why can't you join the waitlist over the phone? that's kind of dumb if i'm going why not be able to join the list ahead of time

The manager that came on at 3 tried to make good of the situation. Where do I start? Now no one with sense goes into Cheddars and expects a five star dining experience, but this was just dismal. In all my times dining at Cheddar's one of the things that has been spot on is the croissants. Those buttery, sweet delectable morels. When those were delivered to our table undercooked and over-dripped in "honey" butter I should have known to abort the mission, however A day without food made me and my partner go against our better judgment. I opted for the salmon and ceaser salad. She opted for the garden salad and steak. The service was prompt for sure. Our waitress was attentive and she did a great job making sure we were taken care of, but every dish we had was subpar. The steak was tough. So tough that I think my partner actually walked away from the dinner table having burned more calories than she consumed. The salmon was dry. The garden salad arrived full of egg which would normally be fine, but the menu made no mention of it being include in the salad. I ordered the El Patron margarita which is SUPPOSED to have both Patron Silver and Citrónge, but tasted more like sweet and sour with a splash of Taaka. The drinks taste like they are all premixed. Thankfully the manager removed this from our bill. We politely paid for our food and left, however we will NOT be returning. Apparently they were recently purchased by the same company that owns Olive Garden (Darden). Perhaps that can explain why this experience was so monumentally worse than all of the ones before. TL:DR: Everything was gross from the croissants to the d*$n drinks. Don't waste your time or money going here. read more

This is a solid four star restaurant. Good food, services, and drink prices.

Cheddar's is one of the best places to go for good food and cheap prices, but that's about all it has to offer. The drinks they serve are pretty disappointing and the place gets very rowdy, to the point that you have to yell for the person sitting next to you to hear. The food here is priced similarly to something like chili's but the quality is much better. The service however is about the same if not worse. On many occasions I've been served by people covered in tattoos and spoke in Ebonics. There's really not much to say about this place other than it has good food for cheap, if service is a big concern then this place probably isn't the best choice. read more

Really wish I could give a rating of '0 stars'. The customer service sucks here. I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's always the same experience. No one here seems to do their job in a timely fashion. Our waitress Brittany must have been a new hire. She was horrible!! We sat there for 20+ mins just waiting on a tea refill. And when she did come by our table it was more of a drive by. She would quickly walk pass us..I assumed in hopes we didn't ask for anything...overall the food is great but service is horrible no matter what time of day I'm there. Maybe I should just start ordering food to go. read more

The food is delicious. New Orleans pasta is out of this world. However, I do agree that the service is slacking.
