Pasta Chicken Lafayette - So good w/ a Malibu rum punch cocktail
Monae I.

I use to go to Boudreaux years ago. I decided to check it out again while I was in the area & the food seems to be better. The staff is still friendly. I was informed that they are now under new ownership & the Gulfgate location will reopen next week.

I'm a big fan of this restaurant and have tried many seafood dishes. All of them have been tasty and very satisfying: Shrimp and Grits, Pecan Orleans, Stuffed Fish and even their grilled chicken. All very good choices.

It was ok. We went for the Friday the 13th $13 dollar special for 3 proteins and a side. We upgraded to catfish for $2.70. The fish was good and cleaned well. We also got the stuffed shrimp and shrimp. The stuffing in the shrimp was seasoned well but the celery could be chopped a bit more. And its also ALOT of stuffing. More like a stuffed ball and a piece of shrimp. The shrimp was butterflied and it was good. The side of onion rings they could've kept. Just mediocre. You see the seasoning on it but you don't taste it. I also got a Margarita and wouldn't recommend it either. It was sweet with no alcohol. I guess thats what you expect for $3. Everything was a bit underwhelming. I don't need really need to come back. The service was great though. Qyinisha who took our order was pleasant and Lance our server was cool. The music was a bit of old school and nice for a Friday. We got there just before 6 and it was only a few people in there. It was still pretty light outside so they didn't have lights on.

I had the Poboy and some Shrimp on the side 10/10

Stack a Dolla is amazing he's better than the whole staff I've been coming here for years and seeing him if you go here ask for stack a dolla he is going to recommend the best plates and make sure your food is fresh and your comfortable.

I came in hungry! The place is nice and comfortable. They had nice old school music playing. When we walked to the counter we were greeted with southern style hospitality. Now I had the La Sampler. Hot , tasty, every bite was enjoyable. My Drink was a Margarita. It was just right for the moment. Last, was the Bread Pudding. Hot, sweet, good to the last drop! It's seafood, so... see the food, come eat!

Delivery Order. Charged for a gallon of lemoade only to receive maybe 28oz. The food was just very okay. Fish was small and no flavor on the Po Boy. lemonade was cheap like from powder ($15/gallon) Red beans and rice I enjoyed as well as the bread the Po Boy came on:

Fish Bienville
Jonquil J.

The food was real good I had the fish bienville everything was seasoned perfectly the sauce on the fish was a tad bit strong for me other than that perfecto. The service was A1 the cashier at the counter was very personable and the waiter was very hands on and very helpful. The ambiance was cool I loved the music it was a whole vibe to me I would definitely return to try something else on the menu.

Food is OK, but the portions don't match the price at all. These "plates" cost like $12 a piece. For $12 I can get a whole meal and a drink from Chick Fil A. hell, I could get like 2 craving boxes from Taco Bell. My local chinese place would never do me like this. This is crazy!

What are the best -- "take out" orders (to be delivered)...?

I only ate heartily inside. Everything was great. I would recommend the crawfish etouffee.

I will say the portions are very small but the flavor is excellent. We had gumbo, biscuit and burrata and duck poppers. The duck poppers were the size of ur finger ( if ur a small woman and there were 5 of them). The etoufee was very good. But for $43 it's pretty pricey. U do get shrimp cooked 2 ways. We began with the cast iron cornbread, Cajun poppers, and chargrilled oysters, and every appetizer was packed with flavor. The cornbread was warm and delicious, the Cajun poppers were a standout, and the chargrilled oysters were cooked perfectly. For our entrees, we ordered the shrimp etouffe and the filet and frites. The etoufee was pretty good, though not my favorite. The filet was tender, perfectly cooked. Even the cocktails were delicious! Everything we tried was memorable, and the entire meal exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely return and highly recommend Eunice!

Just before closing, we had the place to ourselves and got to shoot the S with the owner who gave us its very cool history. 38 years in, and a few miles on his ledger, Marty still cranks out some fabulous food! The place was like walking into the 50's, with the old school metal tables and ample linoleum. I LOVE Louisiana cooking, and it couldn't have been more authentic. The only problem I had with my shrimp gumbo is the bowl was too small (actually a filling portion) and loaded with succulent, tender shrimp. Yummmmm! The cornbread was sublime and dipping it in the gumbo was killer! John had a Po Boy and said it was heavenly. The fries were obviously fresh cut and perfect. We finished with the bread pudding as we are both connoisseurs, and boy did it not disappoint. Thank You for yet another 5 star experience and a return visit will be on the horizon! Cheers, JimG

Nut allergy friendly: Pretty much no issues here!…read more Parking: There's some in the strip mall but definitely less than at the Bellaire location. Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
