Went to POST and wanted to try Crazy Cajun this time. I had high hopes for it since every time that I've been to POST, this restaurant has a pretty decent line. I was in the mood for boiled shrimp so I ordered that in the flavor Cajun. Upon first bite, the shrimp had a strange taste. It was like Cajun seasoning with a hint of fish sauce or some type of weird flavor that didn't belong. It was so bad that I didn't even finish it. Not to mention that it was completely over priced, as I paid about $20 for a half a pound of shrimp. I was very disappointed, the best thing about the meal was the crazy mama dipping sauce.

Good seafood fried rice with shrimp and crawfish. I liked the Cajun butter that came with it.

I'm a very big fries person! I love all types of fries and decided to try all the different ones at Post Htx. First impressions: Crazy Cajun is towards the back of the food hall, it definitely reminds me of a crawfish restaurant with the interior. Service: Service was good! The guy who took my order was nice and he got our food out super fast. Food: I wish I tried something more but I only had the fries. I gotta say, for being the most expensive fries at the food hall (at a price of 15 dollars), I expected this thing to be amazing. However, it definitely fell a little short for me. They're called loaded fries, but compared to the other fries at post, they're not much different. It was actually kinda dry in my opinion, not enough sauce was placed on the fries and the meat was dry as well. I honestly would not get this again, but I would have to try something else from the restaurant. I know my cousins got a platter, but also said it was average. Am I willing to try this place again? Of course!

We decided to check out Post Market on a Sunday night. It's pretty amazing, all the different types of cuisine. I chose to get crawfish from crazy cajun. They have different sauce and heat options. They have 3 and 5 lb options, I got the 5 lbs with sensation sauce, regular heat (fairly mild) and it came with 3 potatoes and 2 corn. The sensation sauce is a mix of Vietnamese and Cajun flavors. The crawfish quality was amazing and they were big! Being a native Louisianan I prefer more flavor in the boil. The outside flavor was delicious but inside was lacking flavor. I probably wouldn't get the crawfish again but would go back to try more things on the menu.

Seafood crostini! Delicious and larger than I expected based off the picture! I ate 3 and was full since we only planned for a light nosh

Just kidding LOL that didn't happen! Anyway, back to the point, sorry.. I like to mess around a little. I wasn't that hungry because I had food yesterday I ordered a kids cheeseburger burger with fries, a kids meal chicken tender with fries, a farmhouse burger, and the half chicken with biscuits. I also had the his biscus lemonade. Needless to say--well actually, quite needing to say since this is a review after all--the food was pretty good. Prices were a little crazy but it's become all to normal in this day and age. As for the food, I ordered a kids cheeseburger burger with fries , a kids meal chicken tender.. don't feel like saying all this again. As for the food, the service was pretty good I guess. The girl servers were pretty smart. The boy servers were a little less smart. Every time the guys brought food, they either stood there looking around, or attempted to place the food on top of other plates or napkins that were on the tiny table. I suggest maybe a boot/concentration program for the guys so they can concentrate a lil more. Ok, it's time for me to go. I'm gonna go to sleep after all the food. I forgot to mention what I ordered. kids cheeseburger burger with fries, a kids meal chicken tender with fries, a farmhouse burger, and the half chicken with biscuits. I also had the his biscus lemonade. The half chicken was obviously what they tried the hardest in. There were 4 types of sauce with it. They were all pretty good, but I didn't eat the chicken. The chicken tasted incredible-- so much so that I finished it completely. But I don't like eating around bones, I find it primitive. I'm more of a chicken tender kinda guy if you know what I mean. Oh yeah and for the food, I had a his biscus lemonade. It was SO good. Alright. And that is the end of my review. I hope I did t forget to list my food items because I've gotten hate messages calling me weird. Anyway, I'm out chat. Thank you to my faithful followers. Continue to look forward to my honest reviews. P.S. the beginning part was not a joke it actually happened. I have a video but I won't put it because I'm tryna lay low it you know what I'm sa Tying to you yuui

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

There's two homes converted into a restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating as well. It was a beautiful, sunny day so we decided to sit under the shade outside. For drinks we ordered sangria and pineapple mimosas. The blueberry ginger pancakes seemed like a hit based on reviews so I ordered that as my entree. The portion size was huge so it was very filling. The ginger was not overwhelming at all and really complemented the sweetness of the blueberry toppings. I also ordered a the pork belly deviled eggs which were pretty yummy as well. My fiancé ordered the gumbo which was very savory and filled with the perfect combo of shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage. The service was good as well. Our waiter checked on us several times throughout our meal. Very solid brunch spot in the heights!

Our waiter was equally amazing and attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful evening. We started with the deviled eggs and crab beignets, both of which were absolutely delicious. Their French onion soup was hearty. Drinks were fabulous too. For our meal, we ordered the mashed potatoes, cacio e pepe, pork schnitzel, blackened fish, miso fish, and burger, and every dish was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The restaurant went above and beyond by surprising my mother-in-law with a birthday dessert (upon my request when I had originally booked it), which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We also enjoyed the pecan ball and chocolate soufflé, and both were outstanding. Between the incredible food, impeccable service, and special attention to our celebration, State of Grace exceeded all expectations. Annabella, our waiter, and the entire staff made the evening feel truly special. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Houston, and we can't wait to return!
