All the food was fresh and tasty, with some surprise stand outs. Tuesday gulf oysters are $1 and wings are $1 during Rockets/Texans games. Luckily we got to take advantage of both specials! Good value otherwise also. Crawfish $8.99/lb *market, good size and flavor Crab chowder Oysters Edamame Fried mushrooms Bang bang shrimp Crab fingers - very meaty! Tater tots - super crispy! Salmon and garlic noodles Hot honey and buffalo wings Miso mussels A separate hand washing station would have been nice as there was only 1 male and 1 female restroom which led to some waiting around. The front door faces Memorial Hermann not I10. Parking is shared and can be limited.

Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad. It's just not working.

Every time my parents come to visit they request to come here! I shop often at the bodega next door (see my review for Granel) and I was starving one day after grabbing all of my spices. I checked this place on Yelp and noticed it's been around for over 40 years. That was good enough for me! Imagine freshly fried fish (corn or flour available!) like you're at the family cookout served with a side of fried rice from your favorite Chinese restaurant! All for less than $15! I order the same combo every time, the two pieces of bass cornmeal battered, 5 shrimp and the fried rice. I'm not a fan of ceviche but my homegirl and her mom ordered it and said it was amazing! The three of us ate for less than $50! Left full and content. If you find yourself in this area and you like fresh fried fish, this place does not miss!!!

The service was great--the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything arrived hot and fresh. As for the food, the seafood is tasty and seasoned perfectly; the fried shrimp and fish had a great crunch, and the shrimp fried rice is a must-try. The best part is that everything is reasonably priced for the generous portions you get. It's a reliable, "no-frills" staple in Houston that stays true to its roots. I'll definitely go back!

The customer service alone deserves…read morerecognition -- the guys were very attentive, offered free samples, asked about my preferences, and took their time going over the menu with me without rushing my order. I had the crawfish & shrimp étouffée, boudin, and beignets. The boudin had the perfect crunch on the casing and was seasoned really well. The étouffée had plenty of flavor-- a thick rich sauce with the perfect consistency and plenty of crawfish and shrimp. But let's talk about the real headliner... The beignets Honestly, everything was good -- and I was super hungry so trust me, I enjoyed it all -- but those beignets? Completely unforgettable. Hands down the star of the show.

I didn't know what to order so she let me try a few items. Everything I tried was so good. Their boudin was off the chain good! Smoky with a lot of meat inside. The chicken flats were fantastic, so crunchy on outside abs juicy inside. Their honey garlic sauce I could eat everyday. WOW! I also had to get me two orders of their beans. Again three different meats in the beans and it has a spicy kick. I was impressed with everything! Definitely a place to stop!!
