I finally made it to Krab Junkie! I went on Thursday to get the $20 Boil Pack it was so delicious. I got mild and it was the best to me, not too spicy, a great balance of season and spice. The $5 margaritas are so good, actually taste the alcohol. The cashiers are so kind and explains and describes the orders very well. Clean inside and outside. I'm sorry, this is sad. I was excited to try this place out but now I'm convinced influencers cannot be trusted. Some girlfriends and I went to patronize Krab Junkie and in the end if I could give them 0 stars, I would. When we arrived parking was a battle to say the least. Then we stood in line for over 45 minutes. I think the only reason why it wasn't over an hour was due to people leaving the line and giving up. Yet once at the counter was when things really went left. They were literally out of majority of the menu. At that point just close business for the day. Truthfully my friends and I should've left, but we wanted to support. Nonetheless scooping the scene was interesting. The kitchen area which is openly exposed you can see the food preparers on their phone, frozen bag of corn on top of a microwave, open liquor bottles on the food set up area, and just lots of health code violations left and right. Yet as an avid traveler meh imma still see it through!! Yet bruhhhh the disappointment went downhill once we got our food. My Mac n cheese tasted like clarified butter and overly used milk (no taste). Then the dirty rice was just chopped up unseasoned ground beef mixed in white rice (no taste). The cornbread tasted olddd and wasn't sweet. Y'all the collard greens tasted SWEET and so did the shrimp boil! Now I will say I liked the fried shrimp but that was it. The icing on the cake was the owners getting spicy and rude with me under the influencers comment via IG and that let me know I'll never patronize them again. Word of advice, take the criticism as feedback to do better. Not bash a customer because of their experience. read more

Listen... All I'm going to say is I had a fried catfish with dirty rice bowl that had a gravy poured over it. The catfish stayed crispy from the first bite to the last even with gravy on it, which means it was fried to PERFECTION! Go check this place out asap! read more

It's a hit or miss with this place. The seafood boil flavoring is not consistent. When I first started going it was delicious. (I would know as I would get their Junkie Platter every Sunday to host with the show Baddies and I mean EVERY Sunday) One day all of the sudden I go up there and order my platter and the pan was just full of oil, so much oil, by the time I pulled it out to serve ( the place I host at is 4 minutes away) it was just a big clump of orange butter filled halfway through the pan. I don't give up that easy lol, I figured it was just a bad day, so I didn't mention it and went back up there the next Sunday, and then it was only Paprika on it, NOTHING ELSE. Lol, my husband just ended up making his own lil sauce that I loveee, I was just glad it wasn't that clumpy mess again. Lol, yall after this I waited 2 weekends to give them a chance to get their stuff in order. So 2 weekends go by, I go back up there and get my platter, the seafood boil was EXTREMELY salty. I tried to keep eating but couldn't even finish a 2nd shrimp, it was so bad it felt like it could have kille* me. My husband grabbed the pan, and said " nuhuh babe stop eating this." He took the pan to the sink and just rinsed the entire boil down, it was THAT bad. He rinsed it down, boiled it and made his own sauce again. I really don't know what happened because this place used to be TO DIE FOR. But, unfortunately, that was the last straw and we haven't been back since. This might be a long post lol. I don't eat seafood, and I'm new to TX. My child asked for gumbo and I goggled... I see this restaurant almost everyday, but again I don't eat seafood... Sooooo I finally went to get my some child some gumbo and babyyyyyyy definitely going back!!!! I ordered seafood gumbo for my oldest! He LOVED IT! Let me start by saying that customer service is a HUGE deal to my husband and I. Before we could even get to the door someone greeted us and let us know they'd be right with us. Upon entry, we waited little to no time to be helped. Mrs. Marilyn (owner) helped us with our order and made some great recommendations for food and adult beverages. The entire place looks like they care about the upkeep and that's equally important (to me). We ended up ordering a hurricane, lime margarita, boudin balls, bowl of seafood gumbo and the catfish filets with mac & cheese. Everything was seasoned to perfection, priced fairly, and the drinks were so refreshing. My only recommendation is a different type of container for the boudin (they were so hot they melted the plastic). All in all, the drinks, and the food were definitely worth trying it out! The shrimp was so flavorful and fresh! The tenders were crispy and juicy! So much flavor in everything! The boudin balls were also my favorite! My first time coming to this restaurant, although I can't give it a five star at this time. There was a live band the servers were very limited and when asked to to place an order they disappeared. An hour or two into being there waitress comes ask may I take your order? Disappears again, she finally comes back and takes the order I ordered the gumbo she brings it 30 minutes later and it not good at all, watery the sausage taste like it has been boiled forever. I tell the her "ma'am I can't eat this and didn't want it. She asked did I want anything else.
