Didn't meet my expectations and couldn't get an answer on how the shrimp boiled was cooked. Usually when you eat a shrimp Boil there's butter or garlic butter used with Cajun or creole seasonings like you would get at Lotus or Krab Kingz. You know the garlic dipping butter or the seafood is set up to be soaking in flavorful butter. No this shrimp boil was sitting in juice and so much salt that it actually made me sick. I got food poisoning eating from here. You get shrimp boiled in water with a ton of Cajun seasoning salt and bland spices. Never eating that again. I'll try something else on their menu but I was looking for more of a seafood with buttery dipping sauce or cooked in butter with flavor. This ain't it. read more

I had a home project at Triple s steel down the street and decided to make a stop here. I am so glad I did. I ordered the number 12 which included one piece of fish, six oysters, french fries and a salad. That cost less than seven dollars (Jan 2022 prices with inflation!). This would have been much more at Boudreaux's and it taste much better than Boudreaux's. The fish was perfectly fried, not too greasy. The oysters are plump and tasted fresh. The only downside is the hole in the wall atmosphere, which does instill a little fear in you. However after walking past all the burglar bars you are met with good service. If this place were in town I would frequent it at least once a week because I love fried seafood. I was so impatient I finished half the meal while sitting in my car. read more

I chose the trout over catfish. I normally like my fish fried hard but the man taking my order advised me that trout fried hard isn't that good so I put my trust in him. He was right my fish was delicious. Not too salty or spicy. Lightly seasoned and fried to perfection. My shrimp fried rice reminded me of Asian sticky rice, it was so damn good. Food 5/5 - Its what your here for. Delicious fried seafood. Dont complain they dont have organic free range tofu with gluten free bean sprouts. Its about the best simple fried fish/shrimp/oysters around. 2 Fried fish, 6 large fried shrimp and more tater tots than you could shake a stick at for $10. Suck it Long John, you got nothing on this place. Restaurant 1/5 - Old, run down, bullet proof glass. One single bathroom with that is locked and you need a key on a 2' key-chain to open the door. The place is small and dirty and just plain run down but hey the food more than makes up for the lack of ambiance.
