The gumbo was delicious and full of flavor, rich, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're craving something classic and hearty. The crawfish étouffée also delivered with great flavor, and the rice was cooked perfectly, which really made the dish come together. 10/10 Experience! Everything was amazing from the food to the service! I had a cluster of crab legs along with the Pick 3 special with shrimp, fish, and sausage, and EVERYTHING was a 10/10. The crab legs were fresh, flavorful, and so good! Anna was quick to acknowledge me as soon as I sat down at the bar. She was attentive, professional, and provided great service throughout my visit. I also want to recognize the manager, Mike. He stopped by to check on me, but what really stood out was seeing him actively helping his team--clearing tables, running food, and jumping in wherever he was needed. A group of about 10 of us went to celebrate Mardi Gras. I appreciated Brandon for giving us separate checks. Moreover, they included a tip of 18 percent, not 20. When I arrived, our complete party wasn't there. So I got a hurricane at the bar. They were $5. It took a while to be seated. Plus there was not much happening though it was Mardi Gras. The only zydeko I heard was in the bathroom. I ordered fish tacos. They come with a salad and a side. I ordered a Caesar salad. It was good but I don't see why it has to be spicy. Instead of getting fish tacos, I received shrimp. I didn't bother complaining. The corn was Mexican style, with cream, and just a bit spicy. Parking is really tight. We've visited this location before, but the service we experienced today by Ivy & Mike was beyond excellent! Ivy was very quick to attend to us and take our orders. She was patient with us while we decided. Once we did, she immediately brought us gloves and tied our bibs! Amazing. The crawfish at this location are great. We used to frequent Rajan Cajan for crawfish but they have definitely met their match. In addition, the wait staff has been consistently good. My only struggle is walking in to the front door and having to wade through all the cigarette smoke because they have a cigarette butt drop/station 5 ft from the entrance. That's a BIG negative because how much trouble would it be for them to move it another 15 ft away where no one has to inhale 2nd hand smoke. read more

Went to this restaurant for the first time, formerly went to Pearland location (2ish years ago). Got a bowl of both each gumbos to go. BB's used to be my go to restaurant for gumbo, after various sampling. But this time, much smaller portion, and more watery/thin. Not happy. Decent flavor, but, may not buy again. I've tried multiple times to contact the manager at this location and have not received a callback, even when I was told I would. Customer service has been consistently disappointing, and the cleanliness of the restrooms has been below standard on more than one visit. I've tried to handle this directly with the location, but due to the lack of response, I will be escalating this to corporate. Decided a few days later to give it another try and was just as disappointed. Ordered the chimichurri strip steak and the sauce was barely any flavor at all. The rice served with it was gummy and flavorless. The worst part was the server Sabrina's very dirty hands, perhaps paint or ink-stained but sure didn't make a poor meal seem any more appetizing. First off, when we arrived, the host seated us and asked for our drink orders. We gave him a few drink choices, and then told him we wanted a seafood boil that wasn't spicy. He recommended the "Texas Heat" flavor, saying it was one of their most popular options. Since we were there with my 12-year-old stepdaughter, my almost 1-year-old son, and my almost 1-year-old daughter, we trusted his suggestion. When our food came out, we still hadn't received our drinks -- and the seafood boil was extremely spicy. None of us could eat it, so we let them know. They took it back, and when it was returned, it still tasted spicy. It honestly seemed like they just rinsed it off and added garlic butter instead of remaking it. To make it worse, the portion looked smaller -- only one egg, one corn, and a few potatoes. When we asked about it, the staff didn't seem to know why, but said they'd bring more out. Five minutes later, the server came back with just one egg. At that point, it almost felt like a joke. We spoke with the manager, who apologized and admitted they don't remake the platter -- they just "re-dip" it in a different sauce, which explained why it was still spicy. She offered 25% off and removed a kids' meal, but that didn't make up for the poor service and bad experience. Our bill was around $140, which we don't mind paying when the food and service are worth it -- but this was not. It took 30 minutes to get our alcoholic drinks, which arrived when we were nearly done eating. The server's attitude was dismissive, and the whole experience felt careless. Overall, very disappointing. For a family-friendly seafood place, you'd think they'd be more attentive and considerate when recommending menu items and serving families with kids. read more

Be careful when you go out to eat and the waiter comes to you with a handheld devise to pay your bill. Normally they offer click and pick tips like 15%, 18%, 20%, etc We went out for dinner tonight and the service was okay so I tried to tip 20% Not till I left did I actually look it over and realize that didn't add up. I heard about this on TikTok but this is the first time i actually realized it's true! UPDATE: I am being told that this is 20% before their promotion that they sent a text message to me about but did not give me a dollar value for. Here's another image of the discount that I got on that meal and if you add that up, plus the plus the taxes 20% does not even come out to the amount that they charged me for a tip. read more

Great place and one of my favorite places for crawfish season! I can get that Louisiana Crawfish cajun without having to go to Louisiana! Definitely enjoyable with friends because it's so much more worth it to order a large portion and share with everyone. My roommate and I ordered 6 lbs to share between us which was easy to kill. It is saltier than what I prefer but I'm addicted to the cajun spice. Service is average, everytime I come here, no matter what location, service is average. Waiters don't come back to the table frequently enough to refill drinks or bring additional napkins or condiments requested. A cold-ish rainy day found my sister & I hitting up this place. Yep, BB's is a staple for gumbo because they serve up one of the best bowls in Houston. Located next to the famous House of Pies (where I've spent many a drunk night back during my clubbing era...) there's plenty of parking but finding a place by the door can sometimes be tricky. Nonetheless, this place is worth the short walk from the back parking lot. Casual place with plenty of seating & a bar if you prefer sitting next to the booze. We were seated by a window & greeted by a very nice gentleman who took our drink orders. Score! He brought out a free app of their queso w red beans & chips. We each ordered the seafood gumbo w crab. The bowls hit our table rather quickly & we dug in. Man oh man, the roux is so delicious with the right amount of kick. Because I love Crystal hot sauce, I added a couple of drops. Chock full of seafood & okra, this bowl was heaven & chased off the chill of the day. Love that they don't overpower the bowl with a huge serving of rice. Their serving was juuuuuuuust right.
