We waited in line to be seated after receiving a text when we got to the front of the line we were told we had to wait again because she gave our table to someone else even though we were early arriving and had to wait for her to come back from checking her phone. After we finally got seated the waiter was awful. No personality and no refills at all. He brought us our food and left. Like I said worst Cheddar's I have ever eaten at. Took our server 10 minutes to come to our table bc we were supposed to "call her" from the kiosk on the table that our hostess DIDN'T mention. The honey croissants were delicious. If I could give this place a zero, I would. We had a wonderful server, Trey who tried his best to make sure we were satisfied. He worked hard! However, the manager Jose was oblivious to what was happening in the kitchen. I received some broccoli ( see picture) that was dead on arrival. The broccoli had no life at all and the manager should be ashamed that someone let it leave the kitchen. Trey did not bring it to the table, but a young lady did and she should have been ashamed to serve it. Memphis has already closed one Cheddar's and if this place does not clean up it's act, it will be gone soon too. Oh my goodness. The food was great.. The prices were even better. My mother had the full rack of ribs. When they came out she had a rack of very meaty ribs. The meat was falling off the bones. The price was much better then some of the other restaurants around at $14.00 for a rack, & two sides. I had the New Orleans Pasta. At $10.00 what I got was a bowl full of pasta, with lots of shrimp, chicken, and smoked sausage in it, with a slice of toast on the side. OMG this was yummy. The sauce had a little spice to it due to the bell peppers, which added the perfect flavor. Each of us could only eat half of what we got, so we had lunch or dinner for the next day. We also wanted to save a little room for the Monster Cookie, and boy am I glad we did. Mmmm. Before our meal arrive we saw several of the other dishes that came out for other dinners. From what we saw on their plates we knew we were in for a good meal. Chicken tenders or catfish pilled high. A mountain of onion rings on another. Our mouths were watering while we were waiting. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very quick to our table once we were seated, (of which I warn you could be a long wait, we got there at 5:15 and they were already taking names and it was a 30 min wait). She brought our drinks right out to us. They didn't get to much past half empty before she was bringing us a refill. Never did we have to ask for a refill. She was constantly checking on our to make sure we had everything we needed. For the price we had an appetizer, two entrees, drinks, and dessert, and it was almost the same price as just the entrée and drinks from other restaurants. Only thing that could have made my experience better was the family that let their son run around, doing nothing to stop him from making a distraction. My wife and I have been to Cheddar's a few times, but this time I tried the Monte Cristo. Man, was it good!! The choice of bread helped make it for me. Our waiter was prompt and pleasant - he kept our drinks full and checked often to see if we needed anything. My Monte Cristo and fries arrived nice and hot - a good sign. The sandwich itself was tasty with the cheese nicely melted and batter crispy. It was a tasty sandwich. However, we did have one item of note - we both left quite Full and satisfied. The server didn't come back around until like 45 minutes later to ask how the food was, even though we had finished eating a while ago. Everything took too long, even for the card to be swiped and brought back to the table. Say by a LOUD, OBNOXIOUS table that was being way too boisterous and inappropriate. That didn't help. Also known as "Cheddar's Casual Cafe", this place is fairly easy to get to with plenty of parking. I was sent here to pick up dinner (take out) for 3 of us earlier this week. We ordered: -Chicken Pot pie -Appetizer sampler (chicken fingers, nachos, potato skins) -Hawaiian chicken salad By the time I arrived at the restaurant, it was at least 30 minutes from when I called the order in. They were still getting the order together, but didn't take too long at that point (although they did say it would be about 15-20 minutes). I had the salad and thought that the chicken was really good - grilled and flavorful without being over-spiced or salty. I tasted (OK....actually helped demolish) the chicken finger appetizer. I try to stay away from fried stuff, but these were excellent - not greasy and good quality. The nachos were odd; they were served like layered taco shells with cheese and meat...I tasted a piece of one and it was just meh. Potato skin was also just OK...of the appetizer sampler, the chicken fingers were the winner. Really good honey mustard dipping sauce, too. Pot pie got good reviews but by the time I got it home it was cold. No biggie - quick trip to the microwave and it was just fine. I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and found it to be pretty mediocre at best, at first, but by the 3rd bite I started actually feeling a bit disgusted by it. It wasn't fresh-tasting, and I suspect they probably get it delivered precooked and frozen and just heat it up. The desserts cost almost as much as the sandwich and fries, by the way. Was in town for my sons basketball tournament, and looking for a place to grab a quick bite, close to our hotel. It was around 9 PM and the parking lot was fairly empty. When we approached the hostess, she advised it would be a 35-40 minute wait, despite the fact there were multiple open tables. My fiancé is in the restaurant business, and I understand staffing shortages are an issue. The hostess was so rude we left and went down the road to Rocking Dough. Came here to eat at 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon with friends. After waiting for over 10 minutes for someone to greet us, the less than welcoming hostesses told us that there was an hour and a half wait. All employees are required to wear masks but most have them pulled below their nose or under their chins so what's the point? I think we're just going to eat at home for a while. Another bad experience at a chain restaurant. Hadn't been to a Cheddars in about 5 years and I remembered their chicken tenders and salads were good last time I was there. So we went here on a Friday night, about 7:30. 3 of us. We were seated immediately. Booth was clean on top but had dirt in creases and on floor. Waitress came with menus to take drink order. Said she was new and apologized for the wait (there hadn't been one to that point). We ordered a soda, a kid's soda, and a beer. She brought out a water and a kids soda. About 10 minutes later, came out with beer and the soda I ordered. I ordered the combo with 6 oz steak medium rare with regular chicken tenders, baked potato, and carrots. And a salad. He ordered the combo with ribs and regular chicken tenders, broccoli, and a loaded baked potato. Kiddo got a kids meal. (entree, side, drink) We wait. and wait. and wait some more. The waitress brings some croissants which were devoured by my guys immediately. They were delicious. Waited some more. She stopped by to refill sodas. And again to say food was coming. And then again to say food was coming. Food finally comes out at about 8:45. Kids meal was right. Other two plates were completely wrong. First, no salad, which should have come out before the meal. I received a plate with steak that had a little flag in it labeled "medium well".It was very chewy from being cooked much longer than I prefer. I didn't get my potato or carrots, just a bowl of broccoli casserole. Husband got ribs, buffalo chicken tenders drowning in sauce, his potato and broccoli casserole. I trade him my plain chicken tenders for the buffalo ones, even though I had come here just for the chicken tenders. Didn't want to risk waiting another hour for them to make a new rawer steak or chicken tenders. I ask waitress for the correct sides. She says she'll bring them right out. Comes back 10 minutes later with a bowl of carrots. Just steamed carrots with no seasoning. Eh. Asks if we needed anything else. Yes! my potato and salad. 10 minutes later, she brings them out. Potato is cold and had cheese I hadn't ordered on it. My well-done steak was cold. Kiddo had finished his dinner long before I got all of my food. I don't know if the waitress was the problem for the extremely long wait or if it was the kitchen. The manager went to at least 4 of the tables around us while we were there, correcting issues, so I'm leaning towards it being the kitchen in combination with a new waitress. Food tasted fine. We got back in the car at 9:25, with most of my dinner-- the salad, the potato, the steak-- in a to-go box so I could warm them up at home. We won't be back to this location. The worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Our sever was kind, but the food quality was horrible. We were served plastic forks and knives (plastics with a steak?!!). The potatoes and broccoli were limp, soggy and gross as if they were just nuked frozen veggie.
