Stopped by for dinner early Saturday evening. You select your table and there was plenty of seating to choose from. Staff were very friendly and attentive with pleasant conversation. Ordered the new smash burger and was very pleased with the selection. Served hot with plenty of food filling the dish. Patrons really seemed to be enjoying themselves as we were. Not overly loud ambiance but enjoyable background music on speakers. Only drawback was a period where a strong odor of weed was present in the dining area, not real appetizing. I still recommend giving the restaurant a try, it's a nice place with a cozy home town feel. read more

I have no idea why this East End has such low ratings. Maybe there are a bunch of haters out there. We have never had a bad meal in all the times we've been here. The beer is always cold. The food is always on point. Plus, it has a "dive bar" atmosphere that works. The menu has a nice variety and I haven't ever been disappointed in whatever I've ordered. This visit, I ordered the hot dog sliders; 3 mini Nathan's hot dogs with grilled onions and beer cheese. I also got a bowl of chili and made my own chili dogs. Very good. My friend and I decided to tried East End Grill on March 11th, 2024. When we walked in the server told us to sit anywhere we like. Once we sit down there was a strange smell just for a moment. When we was waiting for our food my friend noticed something in the salt. We saw this yellow maybe worm looking thing, so we didn't use the salt. When our food arrived we kinda forgot about the salt situation. I got the Chicken Breakfast Club and my friend got the Chicken and Fresh Mozzarella with Linguine. She likes the linguine, but there was some burnt part of the chicken. I really like the Chicken Breakfast Club the bacon, fried egg, and cheese with the perfectly seasoned chicken blend so well together. The fries was also okay. read more

I've been here for lunch three times now I think, and they have failed all three times to fill me up. I wanted more food each time. The country fried steak is obviously frozen, but still pretty good. I like the crab dip. The roast beef was my favorite thing here. Nice patio. The special was good. Hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. It was hot and served quick. The hamburger steak was a little small. My friend and I each completed our meal and wanted a little more to eat but were too cheap to pay for more food. I'm not complaining too much about the portion size though, because for $7.95 we got our money's worth and it was hot and delicious. But I'm so HUNGRY. For real hungry. Got the burger. It's good. Not the best I ever had. (Check out Roxie's) but it's so much better than fast food. And hey, you can't get a beer at Burger King!!! It took 45 minutes to get the food. 2 other couples were in there, ordered, ate and left before we got our food. Got our food asked for bbq sauce. Never came. Had to ask again for that and a refill. Asked for the ticket. Never came. Asked again she rolled her eyes and still never came. Had to get up and ask her for the ticket AND she tipped herself as a "service charge." I went here recently with a group of friends. I debated posting this but it is still disgusting me. Waitstaff is so obviously beyond strung out on God knows what. 20 year veteran of the service industry here: This was the absolute worst service I have ever recieved. The "manager"(maybe 19 yrs old) came over to talk down to us when he was clearly in the wrong. They automatically charged an 18% gratuity charge as a 2 party table. The food was cold and horrible. The menu is redundant and unappetizing. At first me and my buddies of mine was about to visit Huey's but it was a bit far so we look up something close by and open late.... we found this one restaurant at the bottom of the page. When we visit this restaurant, the place is pretty much dead, very slow. Ordered some catfish platter, my bud got some chicken alfredo ( they charged 5$ additional for adding shrimp)... they only gave him 2 (two) yes two shrimps for the price of 5$... that's much worse than Subway!!! and he didn't even get a foot long!! he complained, they bought him 4 Extras shrimps in a small cup and drop the price down to 2$ instead of 5$. The food here is "ok" ... Just "ok' Nothing is special about his place unless you are single, recently divorced, got caught cheating, or Mc Donald somehow refuse your service... then this is the right place for you to come and spend your lonely night here!!! They open til' 3AM now!! Don't for get if you come after 6pm they will charge you a gratuity of 18% ( posted every corner even next to the TV somehow I've miss all of them... i'm legally blind ... This is a great little neighborhood bar and grill with everything you'd expect in such an establishment. In other words, lots of cold beer. Actually, the food is pretty good here as well. I used to live in the Bartlett area, and this was one of my regular hangouts, mostly for the beer and the nice patio, but also for something else: The Fried Cheese Balls. But unless cliff is running the bar or talking to people you really don't feel all that welcomed anymore..I don't know what has changed but I'll be sticking with tavern 018 from now on. Lunch regulars strolled in & headed for their usual tables. "Choose your seat" is a policy that works well here. Music played @ medium volume. Charbroiled Fish Sandwich ($8.75) ~ Red Snapper on a Hoagie Bun with Lettuce Tomato & Tartar Sauce. It was as good as I remember it @ the original Winchester location. I asked that it also be Blackened, & it was delicious. East End has a good after-work crowd & does a huge amount of late night business. read more

I went here to hang out with my son. It was around 2am when we left. They close at 3 am and the kitchen is closed at 2am. I guess it's drinking and finishing up your food until 3am. I had a great waiter named Noah. He was very attentive to all the tables and made constant eye contact. Now here is the problem. I called the store to tell them that I did not look at my food before I left. I assumed everything was going to be good. Why did I do that ? (Bad mistake ) I Asked for wings but not hotwings and I asked Noah could they put very little sauce on the wings. He said he'd go tell them now. My son had orders cajun strips which were covered in spicy sauce that he could barely eat it. He managed to eat. That is why I didn't want wings to come out overly heated in spice. Acid reflux does not tolerate spices well. I called the store today and I asked to speak to a manager. I told him that I had purchased food that is not good and the chicken has a lot of feathers on it. I asked if I could get my food replaced. I was very nice and professional. I didn't have an attitude and I was very calm. So after I told the man about the feathers on the chicken and he immediately said We don't have feathers on our chicken. It's probably bone fragments. I told him sir I have been eating chicken a long time and I know feathers when I see one. I just want to come and get my chicken made over. There are feathers on the chicken and I am not trying to argue I just want them replaced. I told him my server was Noah. He said yes I do have a Noah. I said okay so what do I do about my chicken and plus it doesn't even have any sauce on it. I work too so I have not been able to bring it back Monday. He said when did you come and I told him when I came and that I work too so I wasn't able to bring it back. He said well we our chicken does not have feathers on it. I asked his name and he said Jim. Well I told him everybody has a boss and I want to speak with his boss. He told me that his boss was out of town. He said I need to go to the website and email his boss. Really !!! So now I am mad and I told him I am going to put my husband on speaker because he used to work in the meat department. The man ignored me for about 49 seconds as I called for him asking are you still there. Then he said okay there are no feathers on our chicken. My husband told him there are at least 7 feathers on each chicken wing. My husband said Sir it must have been a bad batch. The man JIM Never addressed either of us as SIR OR MAAM. HE DID NOT RESPECT US. (It obviously must have not been cleaned or plucked good.) My husband is on the phone asking what can he do for his wife. I told him that he was a RACIST and he is very BIAS because had I been a white woman he would have asked me or told me to bring the chicken in and he would look at it and remake it. Why did he need to put me through all of this? I do not gamble but I bet my last dollar on this one. So I do not care if the cook is black. They were black in slave days so that means nothing to me. I am not about to beg someone to treat me fair after I spent almost $50 at this place and I tipped the server $12.00. So I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!! I like the one on Winchester and Hacks Crossing anyways. I just went to this one because it is close to me in Canada Road. I was skeptical about going here but tried to give them a try. So I am out of a lot of money for this food! And it is sad that people are still racist. To me when I am nice to you and you do not treat me with respect and you professionally argue with me over and over and over and over again instead of treating me like a guest then you are either a racist or the biggest idiot ever!!! I have been coming to this location for years. Pre covid the service was wonderful. Every time the servers were punctual and customer service oriented. I have brought friends and family here many times. Love the menu and pricing. Over all this is a good establishment. Sadly tonight our experience was sub par due to the server. She was curt and dismissive when we asked for food or drink items. The cherry on top was when our party was leaving after paying checks with automatic gratuity plus a little extra the server stated "yeah whatever" when we said thank you for serving us. Food is pretty good. Servers are nice. The 18% service charge is very questionable. It seems that if they recognize you as a regular they don't charge you the service charge. We've been charged the service charge maybe 10% of the time. It kind of seems like it's left at the discretion of the server whether or not to add it, so I have no idea who actually gets it. read more
