Okay I just learned about this place today. Another and I ended up at the same restaurant in Bartlett which was closed, but it was supposed to be open today. As we talked, she said that she normally goes to Marvin's the place we were at was closer today. Well, we decided to head over to Marvin's Kitchen. This would be my first time and maybe her 30th. Marvin's is a small grocery store/hot food line with the normal meals POC expect. We call it, "some good eating." Space is limited, but I was happy to see the business thriving. I was told to expect a line out the door. Well, she didn't lie; the line was out the door. I waited outside maybe 10 minutes before making it inside. Due to COVID-19, a person mans the door to only allow a certain number of people inside. There is no menu. You order what is available on the hot line or cold sandwiches perhaps. I placed two orders. The lines backed up due to people waiting for a specific item. As I waited for my food, I asked the young to confirm my order; she had moved plates around and may have gotten them mixed up. I asked to confirm my two kore times before it was wrapped and put in a bag. Well well well, I get home and one order was wrong. UGH!! Nevertheless, I wasn't driving back to correct the order. I ate what I had and enjoyed the sides, but not happy with the meat. I would not have selected the pork and it was over cooked to me. The second plate was correct, and it was also good. Despite a wrong order, I will go back again and verify my order by site next time. The food was really good, the staff was moving quick and they were courteous. The space is tight, but manageable. I will definitely recommended Marvin's.

Ham hocks, greens and dressing. Delicious I started on the ham hock because it was so tender and good.

Stopped by after picking family up at the airport. Great food and service! Don't let the outside appearance keep you from eating here.

The combination of freshly baked bread, smoked turkey, pickled avocado, and crispy bacon creates an incredible flavor in every bite. The atmosphere is just as enjoyable as the food. With its laid-back vibe and cozy seating, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Today, I paired my sandwich with Jalapeño Ranch Sea Salt chips, and to top it all off, I grabbed a Jarritos Pineapple soda--the perfect drink to complement an already amazing lunch. If you're looking for a delicious sandwich and a welcoming place to unwind, Hardtimes Deli is definitely worth a visit.

The only downside is the price, as spending ~$20 on a sandwich is never fun, but it seems like that's just about everywhere these days. However, if you're not that hungry, these sandwiches can be stretched to 2 meals to keep the cost down. A few of my favorites are the Turkey Bacon Ranch and the SSS Chopped Cheese. THEY ALSO HAVE CANNED GATORADE. IYKYK Being able to pop over to Slowdown Dry Goods next door while you wait for your food is a big plus. They always have some cool stuff to check out while you wait.

So I came back! This time, I decided to try some of their sides... because it is morning... and I…read moredidn't feel like having a simple breakfast sandwhich from my job. So... aside from getting an iced latte with a pump of mocha syrup, I decided to try their potato hash and a side of bacon. Both were delicious. The bacon wasn't cooked hard so I don't know if that is a deal breaker for you guys but I like mine with a decent chew and not all crunch. The potatoes were cooked with bell pepper and it was so good to me. The bell peppers weren't undercooked and everything had a good balance. My only take away was that I started to feel like it became greasy once I made it to the last few scoops, but thankfully, it wasn't like it was swimming in oil/grease. I also took note that despite it being a decent line, they were functioning fluidly so I really didn't feel like my wait was long at all. Gotta love sufficient service. I believe I spoke on the decor before, but if I haven't, the place is very quaint with outdoor seating. It gives off a local bakery with a hint of modern. Another thing I like is that you can see them prepping some of the baked goods as you wait.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. I am from NY, so had set my expectations accordingly,…read morethese bagels were outstanding and exceeded them! The bagels have a perfect toast to the outside and the flavor you'd expect from quality, homemade bagels. They also offer many sandwiches served on those bagels. This was the closest sandwich I've had to an NY bacon, egg and cheese outside of NY. In addition to the bagels, their coffee drinks are phenomenal. There are also a huge variety of pastries, but we didn't try those to comment on quality. I believe they just opened a second location as I'm writing this review, I see nothing but big things for this place. They can be very busy and it can get a little tight, but that is a minor gripe.

Also ordered a side salad, personally I'd skip ordering that again it wasn't very special (no cheese, no croutons, rough chopped onions). I think thinly slicing the red onions ring style would have made the salad a lot more enjoyable. The pizza was fun to try all of the different flavors. I ordered online and was able to select the pickup time. I ended up needing to change the time so I called and it was easy to have them change that. The lady was super nice and helpful who I talked to. Inside was a bit chaotic, I'd say it's more of a grab n go type of establishment but there was some tables for sitting if you'd want to in a room off to the side. No music was playing or anything but there was some decor. There are 2 entrances/exits. I enjoyed the window painting. We thought the pizza was very good. Worth stopping by if you're in the area or pass it on the way home!

The pizza slice was pretty good - not horrible but not spectacular either. I would definitely come back one day for a freshly made whole pizza! I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella - the cheese tasted pretty fresh, the breading was good, and the marinara sauce tasted as if it was made in-house. It's a dish that probably would've been better eaten inside, because the heat and condensation from the container sorta softened the breading by the time I made it home. As some other reviews mentioned, the ambiance inside is a little dull. The soda machine was broken, so I'm not sure if drinks are available, but the young guys that were working were pretty friendly. The seating area seemed pretty spacious, though unoccupied.
