Great for the downtown area! They serve sandwiches, beer, meat, produce, etc. Obviously there are better deals at places like Kroger but this is super convenient. There's plenty of parking and the store is always clean. I love the outside seating area.

Awesome local community grocery store with prices that rival larger grocery chains. Going in initially I thought prices were going to be through the roof because of the local and lack of competition, but they are very reasonably priced with many local and national brands. There is also a deli counter that makes sandwiches using Boar's Head meats for $8. While they aren't going to be massive, they are good for the price and quality. I've eaten both The Club and the The Crackpot - pretty soild. Bread on the sandwiches are roll-like and they heat it up sorta soft like Firehouse. I'd come here to shop if I lived in the area. However, I go back for sandwiches whenever I get a chance. :)

Neighborhood grocery store. Prices not prohibitive. Beats taking a long drive, and the money stays in the community.

Perfect for a couple of out-of-towners staying in a nearby hotel! Lovely covered deck to eat a quick lunch, too!

These sando's are THE BEST in the city. Do NOT sleep on the Grinder. For $8, it is a STEAL!

The produce is consistently high quality, and the overall shopping experience feels curated and elevated compared to most grocery options in the area. The luxe atmosphere understandably comes at a premium, and while the pricing can be steep, I recognize that different operating models create different price structures. That said, the meat counter can be a little confusing. While most items are priced per pound, a few are priced per piece -- a distinction that isn't immediately clear unless you study every tag. I picked up a single filet that I later learned was $25 for what appeared to be roughly an 8 oz cut. Not ideal, but even high beef prices aren't enough to keep me away from a store with this kind of selection. What will give me pause, however, is the service I received at the meat counter. The attendant working that day -- identifiable by very prominent neck tattoos -- was one of the rudest employees I've encountered in any grocery store, let alone one where items can run $50 per pound. Her initial greeting was an abrupt "What do you want?" followed immediately by turning her back to me to joke with a colleague. When she finally returned, I pointed to the steak I wanted, and she deliberately picked up a different one while giving me attitude. The entire interaction was dismissive and unnecessarily unpleasant. On my way out, I mentioned the experience to the manager, and she was wonderful -- attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic. She assured me she would address the situation, and based on her professionalism, I believe she will. I don't enjoy commenting on customer service in Memphis, but when a store operates at such a premium, the service really does need to meet at least a baseline standard. Neutral, polite, and minimally attentive shouldn't be too much to ask. I hope this was an isolated incident, because the store itself is exceptional.
