They offer a wide range of bulk food items as well as some items that are just perfect for a family. It's well stocked, clean, safe feeling, and efficient. Those are all a plus with any business located at Winchester and Millbranch. They have tons of great tools and gadgets for the kitchen. Most of them are made for restaurants and designed to hold up well. You could totally deck your kitchen with cool gadgets from here. I bought several items that I had been looking for at the normal stops and couldn't find. All in all it's actually worth a trip if you live within 20 minutes or so. It was my first trip there and when I told Marcus, a customer service employee, he ran over and rang a bell to celebrate that I was a new customer. LOL. Lit has a cornucopia of kitchen equipment and supplies, even perishables, and frozen foods. To boot, everything you buy here is EXTREMELY reasonably priced. You'll find cooking supplies, dishware, glassware, disposables like paper plates and cups, spices, frozen meats and sauces, canned veggies, and on and on. Literally anything and everything you might need to prepare a meal. I was only there for a few items, but I left with a cart full. So you must be disciplined, when you head into Lit. :-) I appreciate that Lit has security and employees walk you to your car to help you unload. It' sad I even have to rate them with a one star because they deserve zero. I called for pricing and information on services and they informed me I had to sign some paperwork in order to get that information. My company went ahead and signed but we were clear about only wanting information. We decided in the end to choose to work with upserve. 8 weeks later our restaurant never received any services of hardware. Talk about hard times- working a busy restaurant without a POS system. Then they have the audacity to call me and say I'm not paying my bill. First of all I never received a bill and second of all I had no services nor equipment so what exactly do I owe them money for? They were quick to call me and say they will be shutting my services off if I don't pay them (I still had not received anything so I had no services to be shut off) but I called and called and called customer service and emailed the contacts I had been in touch with initially only to be told my "case" had been sent to "upper management." Two months after that I find out that "upper management" is a collections agency. This is ridiculous, if Upserve wants to answer my calls and return my emails that would be amazing. I want to know why I never received anything but yet still I'm being told that I owe them $7,000.00. They are having a collections agency call me and say that if I pay by October 31st then I get to only pay $1200.00 Whooohoooo! What a deal.... how do they get away with this?! As an owner of a Mom and Pop this company will not root for you, please do not use Upserve they don't care about your business.

The produce is consistently high quality, and the overall shopping experience feels curated and elevated compared to most grocery options in the area. The luxe atmosphere understandably comes at a premium, and while the pricing can be steep, I recognize that different operating models create different price structures. That said, the meat counter can be a little confusing. While most items are priced per pound, a few are priced per piece -- a distinction that isn't immediately clear unless you study every tag. I picked up a single filet that I later learned was $25 for what appeared to be roughly an 8 oz cut. Not ideal, but even high beef prices aren't enough to keep me away from a store with this kind of selection. What will give me pause, however, is the service I received at the meat counter. The attendant working that day -- identifiable by very prominent neck tattoos -- was one of the rudest employees I've encountered in any grocery store, let alone one where items can run $50 per pound. Her initial greeting was an abrupt "What do you want?" followed immediately by turning her back to me to joke with a colleague. When she finally returned, I pointed to the steak I wanted, and she deliberately picked up a different one while giving me attitude. The entire interaction was dismissive and unnecessarily unpleasant. On my way out, I mentioned the experience to the manager, and she was wonderful -- attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic. She assured me she would address the situation, and based on her professionalism, I believe she will. I don't enjoy commenting on customer service in Memphis, but when a store operates at such a premium, the service really does need to meet at least a baseline standard. Neutral, polite, and minimally attentive shouldn't be too much to ask. I hope this was an isolated incident, because the store itself is exceptional.
