LONG POST REVIEW ALERT ... Like many here I agree on the beautiful aesthetics of the newly opened South Point grocery store. Upon many visits down here, making the decision to relocate and become a Mississippian from Illinois to this beautiful subdivision in which the store sits was just another example in my clear choice of where I'd purchase a home for my family & I to settle in. My 19 year old daughter was excited to learn a brand new grocery store in walking distance from our home could be a convenient job opportunity for her so she wasted no time applying & got hired.
Fast forward my daughter is loving the job & doing well according the South Points social media where she received high performance praises from staff and customers alike. However, she started coming home daily with complaints about management that she felt was knitting picking for no reason. My oldest daughter, her dad, & I all advised her to just do her job, report her experiences to fellow and/or upper management if necessary. We try to allow her to form opinions and handle situations that she can as a teen entering young adulthood. On yesterday (2/14), my 19 year old daughter came home crying her eyes out obviously alarming us. Once she was finally able to formulate a coherent sentence she goes on to tell us her deli manager Megan Sanders unexpectedly yelled at her while she assisted a customer, whom my daughter says was visibly shocked, and then to add insult to humiliation and injury, Megan proceeded to walk away & loudly tell other employees how she's so sick of C'mone (my daughter).
Prior to this incident, and a different day this same "manager" Megan Sanders was talking AT my 19 year old daughter along with another Manager (will tell you all about her shortly), and Megan who looks to be in her 50's challenged my 19 year old daughter to "take it outside" with her. I've learned that Assistant "Manager" Crystal Terry instigated and said "Ooo, Chicago vs Fraiser, MS", then Assistant Manager Crystal goes on to say "I got money on Fraiser". On 2/14, my oldest daughter of 29 years old & I, 52 years old went to South Point to confront Management & take them up on the offer of "taking it outside" with someone of appropriate age, size and stature. My oldest daughter repeatedly told Assistant Manager Crystal Terry about the "manager" who was instigating & putting her money on the 50 something old "manager" Megan. You see at this time, we didn't know the name of that "manager" & C'mone wasn't present.Crystal is a liar who repeatedly pretended to not know any such thing had ever happened & that she had no idea what Fraiser MS was. Not being from here my daughters & I definitely never knew such an area. So yes, Crystal Terry was the instigator.
So you know what happened next... lying cowards do what lying cowards do... call 911. We respect police & the law so we spoke with the officers honesty & left the establishment. What happened next you ask?
"Manager" Megan cowardly & loudly went and found my daughter yelling, my daughter who was in a different part of the store working and oblivious to what had or was happening asked "manager" Megan why are you yelling at me, Megan proceeds to tell my 19 year old daughter she could no longer work the store until she speaks with a different manager that I believe had gone.
So no warnings, no write ups, no HR reports, no disciplinary actions of any kind before HR...EVER! So my two relatives whom both hold significant high positions with one of Americas
most popular unions will be legally consulting with an attorney . GOOD JOB "MANAGERS" Megan Sanders & Crystal Terry!!!!
My 19 year old has been harassed, bullied and threatened by managers abusing their positions. But my kid was terminated.., LET THAT SINK IN.
Parents of teenagers working at this location, check on your kids especially if they check the boxes of looking beautiful, has great personality, tall & thin. They're possibly next if they're not already being targets of workplace harassment bullying, & degradation by "management" read more
