Walmart Southaven, MS (6811 Southcrest) Congratulations, you've hit rock bottom in customer service. All I wanted was PAINT. But apparently, paint here is locked up like Fort Knox. Manager Tina, an illiterate sorry excuse for a manager who proudly tells me she has no way of knowing if staff even came to work, no way to page an associate to determine who has the "keys" to the paint, and no way to unlock products that customers are literally trying to buy. And when I pressed further? At 9:14 PM, while the store is OPEN and the paint is sitting right there for purchase, her response was: "Oh, buying paint at this time?" I can't help and walked off. Excuse me? The store is open, the products are here, and that's your answer? Ignorance at its best. How many customers have NOT been able to purchase products, because the associates with the keys is invisible? Sadly, this is what consumers are forced to deal with until we start taking a stand when spending our money. Walmart this level of incompetence is shameful. Is this really the "leadership" representing your brand? Leadership is led by example. I did not realize that it was going to be this cold in Mississippi, so I stopped in to this Walmart for a quick shop to see if I could find an inexpensive sweatshirt. I did find the sweatshirts and some other long sleeve tops. Prices were Walmart low but I did not spot anything that would wear a second time. So no purchase there. The rest of the store is decently stocked including snacks for the road and bottled water. Self-checkout was not busy and I was able to be on my way. I have been here several times and now I am ready to review this Walmart. First of all, if you come here, you are pretty much on your own as far as getting help. Customer service for the most part, does not exist here. If you call them on phone, they just let it ring off the wall. If they do answer, whatever department you want - will not answer either. I have actually been in electronics and seen associates standing around at the electronics counter not doing nothing. Furthermore, the phone was ringing and they wouldn't answer it- just totally ignore the phone ringing. What kind of workers is Walmart hiring to do this and why. Is it worth complaining about? No, who will care. I have never seen any employees smile here. They are always unhappy. If you do ask for help, they just say " I don't know " or will not guide you to where it is of what you are looking for. I hate coming here. read more

Updating my review: Use to really like this store had a bunch of friendly faces who used to work here I've noticed where most of the good workers no longer work here and service has really gone downhill yes they still have a couple good workers on here but I'm starting to notice where the new workers aren't professional and don't have a smile and are grumpy and where they occasionally play on their phones. Hope they can get the service back up on this once good store but I've noticed the past couple months the service has really went downhill to this once good store. I wish I didn't have to leave a star. I shop here weekly. I stopped in the store to get my grandson some formula on my lunch break. The milk is now locked up. After 38 minutes and 3 trips to customer service, I left the store empty handed as no one ever came to help me. Very disappointing!!! read more

I haven't been to the Southaven, MS., location in years. The store was clean and fully stocked with product. The meat selection was awesome and fresh. I found all of the items that I was looking for. The lady that assisted with self- checkout was helpful and nice. read more

This walmart is terrible i remember going here 6 years ago and i had serious back problems so i had to get a motorized sit in grocery cart the greeter wouldn't let use one telling me it was for handicap people only i argued with the lady for 10 minutes until she finally gave me one.Well another incident happened 2 years ago when i accidentally didn't scan two items at the self checkout line then a bunch of black security guards take me to the back room mock,laugh and make fun of me over it and threaten to call the police on me you know it's not my fault if the items don't scan another thing i find it very suspicious and racist that there barely any white people working there 90% of the workers are all black people. read more

I have come here about once a year every year for the past five years in order to buy things for my class with my EEF money. They always have some sale on spiral notebooks around the same time so it almost always works out perfectly. You don't need to go to the Customer Service desk to buy everything because they'll bring the book/code to whichever register you're at. this walmart routinely looks as if it has been looted. seriously. merchandise on the floor. trash and chip bags in the aisles. the grocery side is often out of not only regular items, but less purchased ones as well. the clientele...even for walmart...is on the lower end of the gene pool. some employees are helpful, but 90% are totally disinterested in even answering the slightest question. these observations are not from one unpleasant visit, but from many. shopped there for years. the home office over in Arkansas must have this store on the short list. read more

Now I know that in my review of Walmart on near my house that they only gave me 3 stars stating "hey it's Walmart". However, for the sheer fact that I can't seem to find a product by the name of "California scents" anywhere but Walmart and it's half price..that bumps it up. In addition to that the Walmarts that I frequent seem to be going through renovations, So it's harder for me to find things. I appreciated being able to find things where I'm used to them being because this particular location doesn't appear to be going through the same transition. Traveling on the road I had a lung infection and had our doctor from out of state contact this Walmart in order to relay three prescriptions. Since we are traveling with our travel trailer, we were in somewhat of a hurry to get the prescriptions filled, the emergency doctor called me at about midnight and we called Walmart at exactly 9 AM. They messed up one prescription, said they couldn't find the other prescription, and was out of stock of the prescription for cough syrup. When I tried to speak to the drop a prescription desk, I am in my life was never treated so hostile buy any Walmart employee. She had no interest in my prescriptions, handed the one prescription to me and when I tried to talk to her she just didn't bother to look up, So I stepped him to the next window to review what it been sent and another customer came up and they were treated as if they were their best friend. I'm on my second encounter during my talk to her, she literally got up from her seat walked over and started sorting medical prescription bottles. The bottom line was, the Walmart in Waverley Tennessee took the ball, after I contacted them and call the Walmart in Mississippi, transferred the prescriptions, called me back to let me know everything was done but they were out of the cough syrup but they would be glad to check the local CVS and see if they had the prescription in stock. I'm not saying but if you look on my drivers license it will say Caucasian and I'll let whoever reads this including Walmart decide who was on the other side of the counter. I will also say that Walmart should not be the venue for black lives matter. Just sayin... I was appalled by my treatment but would say that the Walmart in Waverley Tennessee should get an A+ for handling the situation, and the employee at the Southhaven Mississippi Walmart should be thrown out of class read more

When you are use to the Fredonia/Dunkirk Walmart - all others are a bit disappointing - though this wasn't the worst of them - it by far wasn't the best! It was your very typical Walmart - same selection, same pricing, but a bit more disorganized then many of them! read more

I'm actually surprised that this WalMart store is still in business! Every time I go in this store, there are hundreds of people in the store but once you get to the checkout, there MAY be two or three lanes at best open! 30+ registers and you can't open anymore lanes than that? That in itself tells me that this location doesn't care about customer service! Who wants to stand in line to checkout longer than it took you to shop for what you needed and make it to the register? I'll either drive the distance to another WalMart location or go to Target! WalMart Corporate should visit this site and either make the manager improve this area where they fail or fire the manager and close the store!! Bottom line !!! read more
