First thing I look at when I enter any food establishment be it grocery, restaurant, deli, etc. is the floors. If the floors are clean, chances are the place is clean. Conversely if the floors are dirty I run, not walk, out. Ok so the floors are very clean here. When entering this Superlo, the deli is the first department you see. The work area behind the counter is very clean. I don't usually buy anything from the deli because I know how to cook and make a sandwich. Moving into the produce area, all the basics are covered. You won't find anything super fancy here but it all looks fresh and tastes terrific. Meat department is hit or miss for me. They advertise specials a lot and I'm guessing they sell a good deal of product. The ground meats all looked the same to me this visit. For those of you unfamiliar, ground chuck, ground round, and ground sirloin are supposed to look different due to the different levels of fat in each product. This all looked like ground chuck but labelled differently. A little unethical in my opinion. Super Lo doesn't carry every brand under the sun but national brands are well represented as well as private label. I rarely buy private label with the exception of the gallon ice cream. $4 for a gallon of ice cream is a steal and I love me some ice cream! In conclusion, most of the employees are really friendly and helpful. The prices are the best in the Memphis area, and the store overall is really clean. This is why I drive out of my way to shop here.

Manager Tina, an illiterate sorry excuse for a manager who proudly tells me she has no way of knowing if staff even came to work, no way to page an associate to determine who has the "keys" to the paint, and no way to unlock products that customers are literally trying to buy. And when I pressed further? At 9:14 PM, while the store is OPEN and the paint is sitting right there for purchase, her response was: "Oh, buying paint at this time?" I can't help and walked off. Excuse me? The store is open, the products are here, and that's your answer? Ignorance at its best. How many customers have NOT been able to purchase products, because the associates with the keys is invisible? Sadly, this is what consumers are forced to deal with until we start taking a stand when spending our money. Walmart this level of incompetence is shameful. I also found that I did a bit of Christmas shopping around that holiday when I was up here, buying wine at a significantly better price that I might have got home in Orlando, Florida. The staff is friendly and I have never had a long line to have to endure. All in all, I would definitely recommend this Kroger supermarket.

Multiple areas across the store had active water leaks with buckets placed down the aisles attempting to catch dripping water from the ceiling. Some areas had caution cones, but others did not. One puddle without proper warning signage nearly caused a slip and fall. Water was spread across walking paths in several different departments, not just one isolated area. As a customer, it felt unsafe navigating the store while trying to avoid puddles, buckets, and leaking areas. The condition of the roofing and leak management needs immediate attention before someone gets seriously injured. Cleanliness and friendly staff matter, but customer safety has to come first. Hopefully Kroger addresses the roofing problems quickly and improves hazard protection throughout the store.
