Hamburger steak with mushroom sauce, turnip greens and fried zucchini
    Willie T.

Went there for lunch. Wife loves liver and onions and they serve that every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. Liver and onion was cooked well with good portion. Comes with 2 sides and cover of roll or cornbread. I got the hamburger steak with mushroom sauce along with 2 sides: turnip greens and fried zucchini and choice of bread. Overall the food is good, service attentive and ambience calm. Background music is mostly from the 1960s. Also they give 10% discount to seniors on Wednesdays.

Just wow! Excellent service! Sarah is awesome! The food is amazing! I haven't had a homemade meal this good in years!

Great diner we like to stop at on Fridays to open the weekend. Right near to Kroger, convenient, and fast. Classic American staples along with weekly specials. Very much enjoy the pre-meal cornbread and biscuits, as well as the fried green tomatoes. We've been a few times and will be back again.

Yummy! Local place in Bartlett that was very delish. Went with family to dine last night. Some of the best southern comfort food I have ever eaten. I had the beef liver and onions which brought back childhood memories for me. The mac and cheese was legit. Squash was a tad over cooked for me. My nephews ordered catfish, country fried steak and fish and chips. They enjoyed their meals as well. Everything was delicious. We were too full for dessert. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Wes, our server was attentive, pleasant and helpful. Our food came out quickly and was hot. The restaurant is decorated with a variety of decor which reminds me of a country home. It is warm and comforting and feels just like home. The place is quite large and can seat several people. There is plenty of parking for patrons. I will come back to try other dishes at this local gem in Bartlett, TN.

Went in at 12:30ish on a Sunday and the place was already crowded with people so there was a bit of a wait. The menu was a little exhaustive and it took some time to read through. I ordered the Sunday special and the person with me ordered catfish. I was disappointed with the Turkey and dressing (the dressing was crumbly and the was large chunks of dry meat). The gravy was served on the side but could not be poured on because it was like jelly. I was given a choice between tender cabbage and crispy cabbage). I chose crispy and immediately thought maybe I should have chosen tender. The cabbage tasted like it had been pan fried in burned butter. Though the waitress was friendly and attentive, I probably would not visit again.

I will say, this place absolutely hates seasoning. Salt and pepper even. I ordered the catfish nuggets, pot roast, country fried chicken and there was absolutely nothing good about anything. The pot roast is so tough and flavorless. Not even the broth or carrots and potatoes have flavor. The French fries have nothing on them but my 3 year old like the catfish nuggets. Everything, even the country fried chicken tasted old as heck. I will never buy 80 dollars worth of food for my family from here again. I'm sure they're nice people and it's a nice place to be at but let's do better on cooking the food before we worry about service and ambiance. I am just very upset I can't be refunded.

First visit was to go via Ubereats- I went in to place my order via ubereats (had ubercash to spend), but I went in so they could explain to me why I needed to select a side if the fish and chips meal states it comes with fries, hushpuppies, slaw, and tarter sauce? Anyway, the young man helped me with the order after I explained why I didn't want to order with him directly. No biggie, food was ready in about 15mins and no I did not find out why I still needed to "order" a side with the meal. I also ordered the peach cobbler that comes with ice cream. They were fairly busy with patrons and plenty to go orders. It is located next to Kroger on Kirby-Whitten/Stage. Great spot if you want a meat and veggies, the fish and chips were pretty basic, not my best decision when ordering food, the fries are sidewinder fries(not my favorite), slaw was bland and the tarter sauce tasted weird(tangy..not in a good way). I would not order fish and chips again and based on the menu I may come back for a veggie plate. As for now, 3 stars. The cobbler was not made that day, it smelled like it had been prepared a few days before, I warmed it up the next day and had the ice cream with it, definitely not made the day of ordering, but was ok.

Gravy/mushrooms tasted terrible and was cold. Texture like jelly. Turnip greens were sitting in a brown liquid... threw away. Caramelized cabbage... over cooked. Bad taste, threw out Pork chops were acceptable... Okra ok

I took the advice, and I'm really glad I did. It was fantastic--stacked with pulled pork, smoked sausage, and beef brisket, all topped with slaw and BBQ sauce on a bun. I also tried a bite of the barbecue bologna, which is a thick-cut slice served on white bread, and that didn't disappoint either. Inside gets pretty smoky, so you'll probably prefer sitting outside. Luckily, there are plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to choose from. I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me, but he was friendly, energetic, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.

The food and coffee was so delicious. I wouldn't say I'm a food snob, but I'm particular about breakfast foods, and this made me very happy. We each ordered a coffee and the bacon potatoes to share. I ordered the Juniper Benedict and my friend ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy. The bacon potatoes were cooked perfectly, soft and slightly crunchy with plenty of cheese and bacon. The eggs in my eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and they used a regular house-made biscuit that soaked up the egg yolks perfectly. The restaurant was pretty big, but the ambiance felt like a small-town diner. The staff was super kind and attentive, too. The cost is par for the course for a nice diner in a big city. I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. Michelin-Quality Food in the Most Unexpected Setting…read more **Rating: ** Bryant's Breakfast is a study in contrasts, and that's exactly what makes it extraordinary. Walk through the door and you'll find yourself in what can only be described as a high school cafeteria aesthetic--fluorescent lighting, simple tables, no-frills decor. But order your food, and you'll quickly realize you've stumbled onto something truly special. ## The Food: Breakfast Perfection The biscuits alone are worth the visit. These aren't your average biscuits--they're fluffy, buttery masterpieces that practically melt in your mouth. Each one arrives at your table with layers that pull apart perfectly, golden-brown on top, impossibly tender inside. The thick-cut bacon strikes that elusive balance between crispy and meaty, with just the right amount of char on the edges. The sausage is clearly made with care, well-seasoned and flavorful without being greasy. And the eggs? Cooked exactly as you order them, every single time. Whether you want them over-easy with that perfect runny yolk or scrambled to creamy perfection, they deliver. ## The Secret Sauce: Obsessive Consistency!! Here's what sets Bryant's apart from every other breakfast spot in town: their almost obsessive commitment to consistency. Visit on a Wed at 7 AM or a Saturday at 1PM, and you'll get the exact same quality. The bacon is always thick-cut to the same specification. The biscuits are always equally fluffy. The eggs are always cooked with the same precision. This isn't luck--this is a team that has perfected their craft and refuses to let standards slip. ## Service That Rivals Fine Dining Despite the cafeteria setting, the service operates at a level you'd expect from a five-star Michelin restaurant. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely seems to care about your experience. Orders arrive promptly. Coffee cups are refilled before you realize they're empty. Special requests are handled with grace and efficiency. ## The No-Friction Experience Everything about Bryants is designed to be effortless. Ordering is straightforward. Seating is quick. The menu is clear and well-organized. Payment is smooth. There are no unnecessary complications, no pretentious service rituals, no waiting around wondering if your server forgot about you. You walk in, you order phenomenal food, you eat, and you leave satisfied. Simple. ## Exceptional Value!!
