If you're tired of the same trendy faux grass wall brunch spots, Bartlett Breakfast Factory is a breath of fresh air. This place has a charming old-timey diner feel--homey, cozy, and full of personality. It's clear the locals love it, and for good reason. I had the fried catfish and shrimp & grits with a pancake on the side--everything was seasoned to perfection and felt like true Southern comfort food. My folks ordered the Bartlett Breakfast with a side of fish and grits and the rest got shrimp and grits. We also tried the sunset lemonade, which was delicious and refreshing. The service was warm and friendly, just like you'd expect from a neighborhood gem. My only critique is that the space is on the smaller side. They're clearly well-loved and could definitely use a bigger location to accommodate their growing fan base. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a real, down-to-earth breakfast spot with amazing food and welcoming vibes.
Bartlett breakfast factory is conveniently located, unassuming breakfast joint with ample parking. The food is made to order and hot and good. I had a omelette and added some additional bacon. It also came with hashbrowns, which were good. I noticed that many people got the fish and grits and the restaurant. The service was relatively quick. I waited about 15 minutes, but I didn't notice that other side did a little longer. The ambience can be described as quaint. It's a small place, but it's clean and comfortable. I'll be back if I want some brunch foods and have a little time.
If you're looking for a southern home cooked breakfast look no further than Bartlett Breakfast Factory. Please keep in mind the space is smaller and you will leave smelling like grease. However, the food will make you forget about smelling like grease lol. The grits are very creamy and flavorful. My salmon croquettes were fried well and seasoned to perfection. The cooks definitely got soul and it was exhibited through the food. The service was good and the staff were very friendly.
I've heard great things about this breakfast spot in Bartlett, arrived around 8:30am on a Saturday. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. I wasn't done getting situated in my seat before my order was in front of me! This was the quickest I've ever been served . I ordered the pancake breakfast with a side of hash browns. Pancakes were good and bacon crispy, the hash browns were ok. It was enough to get full and leave a few bites on the plate, but overall I was satisfied and had a full belly. From the lady taking orders at the register , the chef, and the guys preparing the food they all spoke and seemed to have a good system going. It got busy quick, but they maintained the quick service. As for the dining area, it is more of a quick diner spot, not a place to linger especially when they are busy. Parking is plentiful and it's in a great spot on the corner across from a pizza place. If you haven't been go check them out!
First timer here, and this place is busy so patients is key. My family and I ate there and the food is cooked to order. Everything was good the food and the service in this Bartlett gem my family and I truly enjoyed and left a nice tip.
This is my third time here. I always come here for home cooked breakfast. They have some pretty good food for breakfast. Biscuits are very delicious goes awesome w/ the gravy. My favorite is the salmon croquettes. Best I've had in Memphis, so close to the ones my grandma used to make. And service was great as well . The manager comes out to feet you and see if you need anything, she's extremely friendly. The food here is remarkable. More like an old barbecue spot on the inside but that doesn't take away from that food. I can see this place going far, possibly bigger and a newer locations to hold more people in the future (just my opinion) But I will definitely be back again soon...
We ate here on a whim this morning. Very friendly and polite staff. Very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious! The kids had the Pancake Breakfast, I had the Shrimp n' Grits, and my wife had a single pancake. 1 Sweat Tea and 2 Waters. The pancakes were made from cake better and my whole family agreed that they were the best we've ever had! The bacon was more chewy than crispy but still good. 2 teens meals had the pancakes with eggs and bacon, while I had the shrimp and grits. Some of the best I've ever had! It was a bit pricey for breakfast at around $60 for what we ordered, but I guess that's everywhere you go these days. The restaurant had picnic table clothes and the vibes were similar of what one would expect to find at a traditional Meat & 3. Based off of the friendliness of staff and flavor, we'd definitely go again!
They definitely did their thing! Hospitality, customer service, and food were all top tier--superb across the board. A few upgrades would take them to the next level: switch to a table number system instead of calling out orders, tighten up the cleanliness, and expand that kitchen because it's getting crowded back there. At this point, they're getting enough business to level up into a bigger space. But I will be back but only for to go orders to many ppl walking around!!!
This business has delicious food consistently. I love their stuffed egg rolls and spinach dip. The catfish is always perfectly fried. Those are definitely must try items! I request my catfish fried hard and it's perfect. Last time it was a tad bit salty, but delish nevertheless. They have great customer service as well. I only gave 4 stars because on my most recent visit, I tried the shrimp and grits, which are very tasty; however, I was disappointed that I only received six shrimp for the healthy price of the dish. Even if they were large shrimp and were enough to be sufficient for the amount of grits I would've been satisfied, but unfortunately, they weren't even when I cut them. That was definitely disappointing but now that I know, I will continue to get my staples rather than the shrimp and grits. Great ambiance and relaxed environment. Please extend the hours!
This place is legit a hidden gem! The food was delicious, the service was GREAT and lively. They were open to questions about the menus. It's small and cozy, we definitely got there at the right time before it got too crowded!
The food is so good!!! Service is impeccable and they make you feel like family. Me and my sister went for breakfast one morning and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was great too, and I loved the music in the background. We will definitely be back soon to bring our mom with us!
The restaurant has no signage to let you know to order first then take a first come first serve table. We asked others in the restaurant and proceeded to the counter. There was music playing . It wasn't loud . I could have a full conversation with my family and hear them . The food was good. The salmon croquettes were fulfilling. They weren't skimpy with the salmon . The shrimp and grits were savory .
We are from out of town and this place did not disappoint. Great place to eat some great homemade cooking. Those salmon croquettes were on point and everything else we ordered. We'll definitely be back!

Trying to grab a quick, hearty bite here before a long road trip turned out to be a test of my patience. Let's start with the logistics: this place is tiny, and the "system" they have going on is pure chaos. You order at the counter, they hand you a number, and then employees just aggressively shout numbers out into a crowded room. To make matters worse, people ordering to-go just hog the limited tables meant for dine-in customers while they wait. Management desperately needs to hand out table flags, text people when it's ready, or something, because the current setup is a bottleneck. Between the crowd and the open kitchen, expect to leave the building smelling straight-up like bacon grease. Because they were slammed, it took an absolute eternity for my food to hit the table. If you are on a tight schedule to get out of town, this is not the move. Now, the saving grace is the food--the kitchen definitely has soul. I ordered the fish and grits, and being hardheaded, I added a side of four shrimp just to compare. Learn from my mistake: just stick to the fish and grits! The fried catfish was seasoned to absolute perfection, piping hot, and the grits were incredibly creamy. The shrimp were okay, but not worth the extra cash. Honestly, the food is genuinely good Southern comfort food, but it is heavily overpriced for the tiny portion sizes and the chaotic, cramped experience. I'd probably only ever come back for a call-ahead to-go order, and only if I had zero time constraints. read more
You enter the establishment which is a bit small, could use a bit better order/process. 1. People order to go and sit where folks who desire to dine-in would. 2. You order at the counter and given a number. They shout out numbers which, makes things feel chaotic. Maybe get a little ticket holder flag or something that can sit on the table, especially if to-go orderers are going to sit in dining. Or send a text! I ordered and it took forever to get my food. They are a busy place. It was good, but definitely overpriced for a piece of catfish, grits and 4 shrimp. I added the shrimp to determine which I'd like more. It's the fish... do the fish and grits! Where do I begin. This was one of the BEST breakfast experiences we've had. The pancakes were made to perfection with the crispy edges. (the only official way to make a pancake.) the service was top-tier, very friendly welcoming, and provided some great recommendations. It's a very intimate space but efficient. Customer's never stopped coming in while we were there, but there wasn't a crazy wait to receive the food or place an order or the feeling of overcrowding .This will definitely be my breakfast spot moving forward. Y'all our breakfast was so good (see the finished plate shows in our pictures) We turned around and ordered more food for later (had a big back moment but totally worth it) keep doing your thing. The high rating definitely lives up to the hype if you are visiting or you're local, this spot is a must try not up for debate. AMAZING 10/10 read more
This is a hidden gem. It reminds me of places I'd eat back in NJ. The veggie omelette was so delicious and cheesy. The staff was friendly and I loved that the owners were working just as hard as the cooks. The restaurant is small and the tables took some time to get cleaned off but at least you're not sitting on top of each other. I didn't order the catfish but wished I did, it looked great. We are from New Orleans and we're looking for a good place to get breakfast. We saw shrimp and grits in the menu and decided on this dish and the pancakes and LAWDDD was it delicious!!!! We didn't think they could match our down south flavors but they knocked it out of the park . On top of that, the Chef I believe is the owner, cooking his butt off!! Mad respect. Bartlett Breakfast Factory is cozy and intimate. Chef Flavas and his staff were friendly, he took my order. I enjoyed my Fried Catfish and Grits with the hazelnut coffee he recommended! The catfish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The grits were thick and smooth just how I like them, I always add just a little bit of sugar for added sweetness. I am looking forward to trying the stuffed eggrolls when I visit again. read more

Bartlett Breakfast Factory has become our favorite Saturday breakfast spot. The team is always helpful and friendly. We recently had the opportunity to meet the own and he was so kind to share his spinach dip that is available in Walmart stores. The food is always made fresh to order. There isn't a bad thing on the menu it's just that good. You will feel like your eating at a family members house because of the inviting atmosphere. It is a smaller location so if you plan to have a group larger than 6 it may be tight to sit together. Check them out you will not be disappointed. read more
Fantastic tasting small old school style restaurant. Reminds me of childhood going out to eat with my grandparents. Everything is made fresh and tasty. 7 booths, 4 tables. Good stout coffee. Dated Age shows on booths etc but still comfortable & everywhere including bathroom appeared clean. read more

Went to breakfast with my wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. I got the catfish, shrimp, and grits. I was astounded with how great the food was, the flavor of the grits was savory and cheesy. The catfish was clean and had the perfect batter. The staff is friendly and funny! I went to bus my dishes and the cashier said "you're working me out of a job! My wife's pancakes were also the best I have ever had. read more

I've been wanting to stop by this place for a while but I never have the time. well this morning i did. I came on A Thursday about 730am. Surprisingly there was no one there dining or waiting on food. When i walked in, i said good morning but i didn't hear anyone say it back. Ok cool- no biggie it is early. Then who i believe was the owner came around the corner with a smile and said good morning and happily took my order! I ordered the salmon croquette breakfast which came with to salmon patties, rice, eggs and toast. I also ordered an OJ. While waiting, he came up to let me know rice would be a minute and asked if i wanted to swap it out for grits! Cool-no issues with that. I decided to dine in since i had the time. My food came out in about 10 mins and it was fresh, i could tell by the smoke coming from it (just the way i like, fresh off the stove to my mouth). The food was delicious! The grits had a cheesy taste to them, needed no salt but i did add sugar bc i like mine on the sweeter side! Eggs were cooked just the way i wanted them, hard with cheese and those salmon croquettes were like someone's GMA was back there cooking! They were so good and a great portion at that! I couldnt finish it all and had one Pattie and some grits left, they'll def be breakfast tomorrow! I did end up speaking to the owner to give him compliments! I asked him was he ready for Keith Lee since i hear he's coming to Memphis! He was pumped! I did suggest maybe turning on some smooth jazz, nothing too rowdy since it is early, but just something for the guest to bobb their head to when waiting for their food! I also reminded him to let the staff know to always greet their customers walking in! Keith Lee will judge it all! Overall, this dining experience was great! I'll def be back! read more
