I really have given this business numerous chances because of some of their outside vendor items that we like but I prefer to give my money to people who are a little bit friendlier & act like they appreciate your business. It was our first time to try Katie's but it won't be our last! Staff was friendly and the store was clean and roomy. The Heath cookie at the register was Fantastic! We ended up purchasing a few desserts and it was All Delicious!! The Strawberry Cake was purchased frozen but when we ate it the next day it was moist and fresh and oh so yummy!! The Kalhua Bar is rich and decadent and pairs so well with my coffee...and probably red wine!!! Mmmm!! All are 5 star recommendations! This week's special is the Chicken Bow tie Pasta and to be honest, I'd never order that anywhere else but once I tried it, I have to buy the limit every time it's offered. It's so delicious! Tastes like your mom prepared it for you in her kitchen with love! There are meant other meals that we love to pickup either in their drive thru or by walking in to pick up our order. Katie's is super convenient, well priced, and they do not skimp on the meats and ingredients. These are high quality delicious meals! Let me just say if I could give a place 10 stars this would be it. I started today just looking to try different coffee shops in Memphis and explore Germantown a little. I went in for lunch and came out with a more happier outlook than I've had in the 3 years I've lived here. As a Memphis transport from a small town in KY I've often missed small talk conversations and genuinely friendly and pleasant people. The lady behind the counter was such a joy to talk to and she truly brightened my day. If you haven't been here definitely try it out and go ahead and buy the tin of cheese straws. I've come to this location quite often because of it's convenience. During my last visit here, there was one customer in front of me, and while she was being serviced, I gathered my purchases. Once the customer was finished, the cashier and the customer kept talking as if wasn't there waiting to be rung up. I politely put each item back, and only then did the cashier's eyes look in my direction, although she still did not acknowledge me. I will not be back. read more

Two words: Buntyn rolls. Katie's Kitchen is a carryout food business, catering to the Germantown area. They have dishes such as shrimp and rice, rotel spaghetti, and other casseroles and soups. Their egg salad, tuna, and chicken salads are on the southern (sweet) side, made with sweet pickle relish. There are two tables for seating, and they do prepare sandwiches with chips and some green salads upon request. My favorite purpose for this place is to bring food to sick friends, or people with new babies at home. Bought my first order from you for our family's New Year's Day get together and everything I purchased was spot-on awesome! My 18 month old nephew couldn't get enough of the beef vegetable soup and the fiesta soup was equally delish. Other items I purchased - egg and sausage casserole, cheese grits, Rotel chicken spaghetti, and cornbread (reg and jalapeño). I highly recommend all of these items.
