Ordered the El Goodo and All About That Beet Juice. It was my first time and it was delicious. I will definitely order from here again. The only critique was that I order some additional sauces to try and they were not added to the order. Besides that it was an excellent experience. read more

Looking for a plant based restaurant in Memphis is very difficult. The experience here solidifies my feelings. I've been here about 3-4 times for various items and none are impressive. The smoothie bowl was melted, the fresh juice was pre juiced and poured in to a cup, and the zucchini noodle bowl was just... bleh. In this economy to toss a plate due to undercooked sweet potato and over cooked zucchini noodles as well as lack of flavor is sad, but expected. My advice to this establishment would be; plant based does not mean lack of flavor. Nor does it mean lack of presentation bc my food looked like it was thrown into a box. Very unappealing. Cashew ranch is impressive! Hence my two stars. Would not recommend and won't be coming back. read more

Food needs to be more than just pretty. Everything looks beautiful but is bland tasting. One item actually had flavor and that was the hummus. All ingredients look pretty and I'm sure are nutritious, but just lack much flavor of any kind. We all took bites of each others to try. It wasn't just me thinking something was missing. An onion, pepper, egg, sauces etc should be identifiable based on taste. I never add salt or pepper at restaurants but this place had me scanning for some. Didn't see any at the outside seating area. It's an order first and then seat yourself type of place. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Menu has lots of options breakfast and lunch. I gave 2 stars because to me a restaurant has to start with good identifiable flavors. Everything else is secondary. I do appreciate having healthy options. read more

I love this place so much. Theres not a lot that I like in Memphis, so this place was a nice break from (gestures at the rest of the city). Healthy food, cute decor, lots of dangling plants overhead. Order at the counter then sit with a number, they bring the food out to you. There was a long line to order but it moved quickly. I had the chicken and egg on an English muffin with a salad and a green juice. All were healthy and delicious. I'd definitely come back. read more

Stopped by for a much needed meal after a Dr visit and was very pleased to find great healthy options with unique twists. A modern-rustic and chic atmosphere with a fun vibe. Great service at the order counter, with courteous treatment, explained entrees we asked about and our order was repeated back to us for confirmation. We sat at the back bar with comfortable seat and great service as well. A Clean and bright restaurant. A small "Gift shop" at the entrance before getting to the order counter. Our food was fresh, hot and with ample portions. Service was quick, even though they were getting quite busy with the lunch crowd. There is an out door seating area when weather permits. read more

This is my second trip here and I've loved it in both occasions! The inside is filled with plants and is well decorated, super cute! We went for lunch on Saturday and it seems to be quite a popular spot! What we ordered: -BBQ Bowl -Good Roots Bowl Super flavorful and fresh! I would absolutely order either of these again. We added chicken to get some extra protein! read more

Love this spot for a quick, healthy bite! I always go for the kale Caesar -- the kale is super fresh and never soggy. I usually add the Silo burger patty, which I like way more than the chicken. The chicken was a little dry and didn't taste very homemade. The Sunshine Bowl and El Goodo Bowl are also go-tos. So many tasty, healthy options here. read more

Love the super greens salad so much -- I think about it everyone we drive through Memphis!

This is a perfectly fine pace to grab a breakfast or lunch. You order at the counter and then find a table and your food is brought to you. There are lots of vegetarian options with a few meat choices. I enjoyed the tempeh a ton, but everything else was good, not great. read more

Absolutely over the top food! So many healthy choices. A restaurant for clean eating. Clean and friendly

I recently tried the Hippie Scramble and while it wasn't bad, it didn't exactly stand out either. The presentation was nice, and I appreciated the use of fresh ingredients. The flavors were not there until I added pico de gallo . But I found myself wishing for a bit more seasoning or creativity to make the dish pop. My kale was a bit charred & it smelled as such . The texture was decent, though a little one-note after a few bites. Overall, it was just okay, not something I'd rush to order again or ever but I didn't throw it away, it was okay enough to eat in the moment. read more

Powdered wheatgrass shot !?!? Make that at home for 30% the price. Makes me wonder what else is concentrated rather than fresh.

Stopped in for lunch ahead of the threatening winter storm coming tomorrow. Entering and ordering can be a bit of a confusion as there is no menu board, but there are menus you can grab to look at BUT they are up at the registers to if you are 3/4/5 people back you ain't getting no menu. I guess you could look at the menu on your phone but I really hate being on my phone in public but nobody else seems to mind so whatever. It's also a bit loud up at the register area as well. Food came out really quickly, I'd say more quickly than I expected it to. I got the Buffalo tempeh bowl and a root beer. The bowl was very good! Not super spicy which I was hoping for however there is hot sauce (Cholula) available for you to heat it up to your hearts content. read more

Excellent service! The staff is incredibly kind. Tons of gluten-free options. As someone with celiac disease it's important that gluten-free food is actually gluten-free! I've never had a reaction eating here. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Memphis chick! read more

This is restaurant has lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. I tried the Memphis chick sandwich, which was very good. Unfortunately, I could not eat the majority of the side salad that came with it because half of the greens in it were rotting, which is surprising considering the majority of the dishes on their menu contain greens. My mom's order also came with a side salad that contained rotting greens. Additionally, the lady taking our order kept suggesting order modifications without being clear that we would be up-charged. The food comes out fast and the interior of the restaurant is very cute, but the poor food quality ruined our experience. read more

In town visiting family who introduced us to City Silo. And holy amazing goodness! So many tasty sounding meals. I picked out a quinoa and kale bowl for lunch and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients, displayed nicely and was just the right portion size. We enjoyed our meals so much we went back the next day. I chose an acai bowl that was among the best I've ever had. Banana, seeds, acai and more - all very flavorful. Pretty much all the items were gluten feee and vegan. And the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Perfect! read more

I hate posting negative reviews and maybe my hopes were too high when I walked in here, but this place was very underwhelming. We tried 3 items on the menu, all of which were ok at best and the coffee was probably the worst that I've tried in the city, and as a coffee shop hound, that says a lot. Superficially, this place looked legit and I the food has a great presentation and I wanted this place to have kick-ass food, but the food we tried seemed to lack any soul or creativity. And again: the coffee was dreadful. ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ read more

I came here recently because I was craving an açaí bowl and decided to try the Super Classy bowl. It was really good and refreshing! I've gotten this item twice now. I also tried the Sunshine breakfast burrito which I really enjoyed. It's nice to know I'm eating something wholesome and healthy instead of what most places have which is something fattening and full of bad ingredients ! Now for the coffee... I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was soo good. I love me a good latte and this was great. I could tell they use quality coffee which I appreciate. The service is good and workers are friendly. The ambiance is really nice too. Love the plants and the decor. Gives a relaxing vibe! I love City Silo! Although I order the same menu items every time I go, I must say that they are very consistent in customer service, taste, food quality, freshness, and quantity. My favorite bowls are the Good Roots. It has roasted sweet potatoes and golden beets, grilled red onions, bell peppers, kale, black sesame seeds, with tahini ginger sauce. The other is the El Goodo. It has sliced avocado, pico de gallo, serrano peppers, cilantro, yellow onion, pressed garlic, lemon, black and kidney beans, roasted sweet potatoes, kale, sweet corn, grilled red onions, and bell peppers. The Buffalo Tempeh + Sesame Cauliflower is good too. I also get the Zippin Pippin. It is super hearty and refreshing. The fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas drizzled in honey is everything. Most of the time, I top my meal off with a Go Greener juice! It is packed with all types of fresh green fruit and veggies including spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon, ginger, wheatgrass. Love it! read more

We really enjoy City Silo. It's largely vegetarian but you can get chicken with some items. Bowls, wraps, sandwiches. Very healthy and fresh. Fun and bright interior. Friendly staff. I got the el Goodo bowl -- sliced avocado, diced roma tomatoes, serrano peppers, cilantro, yellow onion, pressed garlic, lemon, black and kidney beans, roasted sweet potatoes, kale, sweet corn, grilled red onions, and bell peppers. A PERFECT meal. Seriously hearty and flavorful. The bbq bowl had so much flavor! I got mine with zucchini noodles and added tempe, I highly recommend. Tasted my boyfriends burrito, which looked smaller when it came out- but proved to be very hearty. Black bean forward and filled to the brim. It filled him up! (Which is no easy task!!!) My smoothie was delicious and good consistency. The food came out at different times, which was a little annoying, but the bowl was still HOT by the time the burrito came out. Now, if you are looking for a healthy eating spot, this is the place to be. I do not remember exactly what I ordered, but I know that it was a bowl with quinoa. This place has a decent seating arrangements indoors. Order and sit kind of place. We got 2 burgers. The walnut and beet and the portobello. They were tasty but small. Kind of pricey for the amount of food. I came here for lunch with a friend. Be very aware that this is a very popular tasty place for lunch and the line was out the door, but it moved well. This was my first visit to this location. Previously, I had only been to the East Memphis location at random times of the day and they have lines too. Anyway, I picked this place for lunch and wasn't disappointed. I have had the bowls and toast in the past. This was my first time trying the "Memphis Chick" based on Yelp suggestions. It was the perfect balance of flavors. Perfection! I also got a hot chagalate that was very smooth with a bit of spice. Yummy. I'm looking forward to future trips here. read more

This is a good place to eat if you're looking for healthy food with fresh ingredients. My wife and I ate here for the first time and had the Portabella sandwich and hummus. Excellent, high-quality food. Great breakfasts, though expensive. Nice atmosphere and location. Their apple juice is amazing...the best you will ever have. I am deducting a star because of how they make you return your dirty dishes and sort your silverware into bins like at Panera. It is a gross practice and not fitting for a nice place like this. Who wants to see all of the dirty dishes and silverware while they are dining? There is a better way to do this. read more

Let me start by saying: I just left City Silo and I already can't wait to go back! I ordered one of their toast + spreads from their small plate portion of the menu -- I wanted one of each because they sounded so delicious but landed on their Pico de Cado. The flavors were very basic/straightforward but very delicious. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the pico de Gallo was super tasty! I also ordered their Memphis Chick sandwich. (It was the Rendezvous sauce + cashew ranch that influenced me most.) And I am SO GLAD I got it!!! And surprisingly the sharp cheddar tasted so great on this sandwich, too. The chicken was so tender and well-seasoned. (Also: yes. Both of the dishes I ordered came on bread. Their bread tastes wonderful and I regret nothing!!!) The inside of the restaurant is adorable and I loved how comfortable & pretty it all was. I *almost* ordered a smoothie to go and REALLY regret not doing that! So I'll be back for a smoothie sometime in the immediate future! read more
