Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen located on Walton Way Ext in Augusta, GA Food: I enjoyed the Gilled Chicken Pecan Salad, it was full of candied pecan and fresh greens, cheese and tomatoes. I opted for fried chicken tenders which were delicious just wish they were hot. The Chicken strips and Shrimp platter were delicious. I really enjoyed the light batter they use for frying. Service: We had an awesome server, shot out to Xavier! Great service. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]A very large dining area, architecture is great, a very chilled atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This establishment smells like dirty mop water upon entry, windows are visibly smeared and just not pleasant to the eye.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress acted like she didn't want to be bothered with us. I ordered fish and chips which was to be 3 pieces of fish and fries or whatever side. It was one piece of fish cut into 3 small pieces. It was not seasoned and the fish appeared to not be done all the way. We ordered the 14oz steak medium well it came out rare and dripping blood. Sweet tea was not sweet and we didn't get any refills. We also got the hot fudge chocolate cake and it was a big portion but was dry and cold. Nothing was hot about it. We don't have a need to return to this establishment. We also got spinach dip which tasted bland and was watery not creamy or cheesy. The loaded fries, chicken sandwich and chicken strips were decent.

Country Fried Chicken

Stopped by Cheddar's in Augusta and had a really good meal! I ordered the Trio Sampler and the Country Fried Double Chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. The Trio Sampler was a solid start--everything was fresh and tasty. The Country Fried Chicken was crispy and juicy, with a good amount of gravy that pulled it all together. The green beans were seasoned nicely, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and satisfying. The honey buttered croissants are AMAZING! Overall, everything was delicious, and the service was friendly. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the appetizers were a bit bland. Nothing a little bit pf salt and pepper couldn't fix.

Cheddars is decent food for really good prices. I would visit for the cocktails alone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar is comfortable and the service is really good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food is always very good when we come to Cheddars. I come for the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It's a huge portion and always delicious. Service was prompt. Prices are also very reasonable. We also had the buttered croissants...they are amazing!

Bourbon Grilled Salmon

Cheddars never fail me. The prices are reasonable and the food is consistent. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive to my needs. He checked on me throughout the service and he was very personable. My food was tasty. I love the broccoli and cheese casserole. The salmon was cooked well. My only complaint was that the bourbon sauce was a little runny. It also came with grilled shrimp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you are an Olive Garden/Carrabas Italian good person this is not the place for you. The service was great and yes it did take a bit for the food but these dishes were not quick simple meals. Start to finish we left with full bellies and full hearts. We started with the grilled octopus which is usually something I don't go for but it was mouth watering goodness. We had two pasta dishes, the Bucatini All' Amatriciana and the Paccheri Beef Bolognese. The bucatini had some spice but the Italian sausage and all the flavors made me dream of this pasta. The Paccheri was a classic and just everything you could want. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later to try even more dishes!

We came upon this delightful venue by accident and have few regrets. Hostess to waitstaff wore welcoming smiles and were eager to serve. The fresh bread was delicious, sparkling water refreshing and both were replenished without hesitation. Like reviews I read before starting this one I had to agree that the menu was restricted to fine Italian dining therefore a bit pricey. So, like other excellent restaurants in our area, some of us probably wouldn't choose it except for special occasions. That's not so bad, is it? It is worth noting that there is a well stocked bar with an experienced mixologist. Better than that, Veal Parmigiana on the menu. We made use of the crayon on our table to do self portraits which was fun. That's what it is about, fun, right?

The first thing I look at is the health rating and I was pleased to see they had a perfect score. The interior was spotless and reminiscent of an old time diner. The staff were friendly and attentive. They were doing a steady take out business but we enjoyed dining in as the staff was so welcoming. The soul food offerings here are "off the chain"! We stopped by for lunch and had a great meal. I had fried chicken, collards and macaroni and cheese. Everything was well seasoned and sooo tasty! My niece had the pot roast, fried corn and lima beans. We tasted each other's plates and decided the chef definitely knew their way around the kitchen. If you haven't dined here yet, you are missing out. Check it out soon.

The Salisbury steak was flavorful, delicious also appreciated the portion, it paired well with the rice and gravy. The green beans were cooked well however could used some seasoning. The fried chicken was good, nice batter however nothing that set it apart. The collard greens were good. Service: Friendly and Courteous service. Ambiance: They have a Red and Black color scheme with plenty of table seating, giving diner vibes. The parking lot can be a challenge.

I was in Augusta for business and ate dinners from here two nights in a row! The food was good to…read moreme. I got the Karl's catfish plate with the two filets. It was two filets selected but you get four filets and two cheese corn muffins. I also got the Arnold Palmers and they were cold and refreshing. The first night dinner was perfect. The catfish was fried semi-hard so had a nice crisp and was tender inside. I had collard greens as a side on both nights and they were bumping. They weren't canned greens or didn't taste like them and they were cooks right and there was meat in them (they were seasoned). The first night I had the bbq corn on the cob it was good and had a kind of peppery type of seasoning coating on it I got the two cheese corn muffins both nights. And on the second night my second side was the watermelon (seasonal fruit) the melon was sweet and fresh. The only thing I will say is that I could tell that maybe there was a different chef/cook the second evening order because the fish was good and tasty but was not fried semi-hard like I liked it cooked (like the evening before) and the cheesy corn muffins on that second night was burnt baby! They had black burns on the outer sides. But guess what? I would still eat there again if ever in Augusta. I don't know much about the in restaurant service as both nights I ordered by a meal delivery service. Oh yeah the Arnold Palmers were large sized and icy and tasty and again different people making them different nights the one from my second night order was super sweet to me but still good. The only improvement I'd ask for this place is to get some hot sauce for goodness sake! They have tartar sauce but I wanted some cocktail sauce and hot sauce for my catfish.

The woman at the register was helpful when I asked what was popular on the menu since it was our first visit, but she wasn't very welcoming. She never really smiled, and I wasn't sure how ordering and seating worked at first. On the other hand, the server who brought our food was super friendly and made a much better impression. I ordered the ribs with baked beans and collard greens, along with the brisket mac & cheese bites. The ribs had really good barbecue flavor, although they were a little tougher than I'd prefer. The brisket mac & cheese bites were delicious, especially with the dipping sauce. The collard greens were pretty decent--slightly bland, but still enjoyable. The baked beans started off really good, but after a few bites they became a little monotonous and had a slight sour taste. I think they'd be even better with some ground beef or sausage mixed in. My son ordered the smashburger with mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was cheesy, gooey, and probably one of our favorite sides. The smashburger was just okay. It tasted like a regular burger, and I was expecting more of that crispy, charred edge that makes a smashburger special. The only other thing I'd mention is that we felt a little rushed while we were eating. Even so, the food was flavorful, the restaurant was clean, and I'd definitely stop by again if I lived in the area.
