My sister and I ate here (first time after Hurricane season Helene). We were regulars before. I had the BEST Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had, even better than before! The fries were crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside! My sister had a soup and salad entree which was described as very delicious! We had a wonderful waitress who checked on us regularly, but not too much where it was annoying. She kept our water and tea glasses filled and that is #1 for me! There is nothing more annoying to have most your meal left, getting cold, while you have an empty glass. Thank God for a great waitress!! The Ambiance was so nice! If you are a sports fan, the bar has large screen tv's in the corner's and across the front of the bar area. This area has tons of seating so watching the game with their great appetizers and all your friends makes for a perfect afternoon! Their regular dining rooms are very nice and decorated beautifully! We visited Cheddars again after they reopened from the hurricane and it was so good! This was our second time visiting after they reopened! I was glad to see that they still have the baked spagnaga but I made myself get the veggie plate! I chose a salad and it comes with 4 sides too!!! Their ranch dressing is some of my favorite dressing too! We started with the queso dip and added the meat! I think the chips should be thicker though because this dip is thick and chips were breaking! Service was great! We didn't have to wait for a table either!!! My fiancé had steak and ribs combo with red beans & rice. The beans and rice were not good, looked and tasted like the beans came out a can and had very little bell peppers. The ribs were dry and the steak had a little too much seasoning on it. I had white fish with double fries. Fries weren't great, tasted like they'd been sitting for a little bit. Fish had a lot of cornmeal on it with no flavoring. Sub par but the drinks were good. I had a maui margarita which was good and my fiancé had a sangria which was strong. Was looking forward to trying this place and was sorely disappointed. At least the manager checked up on us, which was nice. Croissant bread as the freebie app was not fresh, although people have raved about them. French fries not hot and had no taste. Onion rings although a good portion were heavily breaded and very very over salty. Chicken tenders and fried fish/shrimp standard fare, nothing special. All the food tasted very commercialized and had no love! Even the broccoli cheese casserole was kind of thick and glue like in consistency I have to say their ranch dressing was delicious! Despite living only a few blocks away ,I had not been in last 10-12 years. The last time I was there a decade ago, Everything was TOO Salty. As someone new to the city, this was a very disappointing experience and not a restaurant I would recommend. I arrived on time to pick up my order and waited over 20 minutes past the scheduled pickup time without any explanation. During that time, the server, Kelsey, repeatedly walked past me and gave orders to customers who arrived after I did, without acknowledging me or offering an update. When I finally received my food, the order was missing items I paid for. I ordered salmon over rice, but there was no rice included, and my side item was completely missing. After such a long wait, it was frustrating to leave with an incomplete order. Overall, the lack of communication, poor organization, and incorrect food made this a very unpleasant experience. We have been to this restaurant chain in Sanford FL multiple times without any major issues. Went to this one last week and had a terrible experience with my meal. I requested no sour cream on my baked potato but of course it was all over the plate. I had requested my steak medium rare, and it was raw. When they finally fixed it, I got to eat a cold meal. The waitress was unfriendly as hell and really pissed me off. Finally, the manager came over and told me sorry but sometime shit happens with no offer of any compensation like maybe a free desert??? Not quite as good as other Cheddars we have been to. Wasn't very busy when we went and it took a remarkably long time to bring out 2 burgers. My wife's wasn't correct. She orders plain and it came with cheese. The fried cheese curds were really good. The burgers were average at best. The building itself wasn't in very good shape. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes and nobody ever acknowledged us even though about 6 different servers continuously walked by us. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. We stopped by the hostess station and told them about it. They looked at whose section we were sat in and both said "it's Izzy's". That was pretty much it it. They said sorry as we left. Solid 3 star experience as expected (thanks Yelp!). We arrived and were seated well. Do not love the layout of the place- open walls that make you feel like you're next to another table. Otherwise pretty clean. I ordered salmon with a baked potato. I first thought of a smaller salmon then changed to the larger one. The server confirmed the switch. When she brought out a small piece I asked if perhaps there was a mistake. She commented "nope thats the big one I know it". She then came back and said "nevermind you got the wrong one". While she did offer to take my meal back and get another one, I did not want to wait. No real apology for the mistake either (mistakes happen, own them). The salmon itself was wayyyy overcooked. It was curling at the ends and thin. Ew. The baked potato was also overcooked. I guess this is kind of typical for a super American chain, yes? The rolls were delicious and fluffy. The elaborate fan greeting you as you walk in and a water fountain wall on patio are quite impressive, but I have to say food left something to be desired. Being a chain restaurant, I wanted to love this place--I really did--however the food was very underwhelming and disappointing. First, the complimentary honey butter croissant rolls were dry and crunchy. Not what I was expecting. My husband ordered the Monty Cristo which was doughy and greasy. I ordered Country Fried Steak and had similar complaint. The fact the country fried steak was placed on top of toasted bread should've been a clue. Also, I'm not a white gravy fan, the gravy had a brown hue to it and was flavorful. The Italian green beans seems overcooked and the broccoli cheddar casserole was lacking flavor. My daughter ordered the kids Alfredo Mac n Cheese and the Alfredo sauce was definitely off. My other daughter had Kids Chicken Tenders and Fries and had no complaint. Server was friendly and courteous and eager to assist with menu--I can't fault them for the cooking. This was my second meal at Cheddars Scratch. I apologize I failed to take pictures of the ribs they were absolutely incredible and they were laying off both sides of the plate. The price for a full rack and I do mean a full rack was very fair and yummy beyond words. This full rack hung off both sides of the platter just like they said no lie it was huge!! Returned today and ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich split it with a friend and then ordered a Fried chicken salad split that to, beyond yummy!! Came with two sides I chose broccoli cheese casserole, and a baked potato both delicious. Prices are very reasonable portions are large and the service both times was absolutely excellent. A real GO TO restaurant for a family, a date or just to munch on your own you've got to try this place!! It got four stars as ambience is nice but not high end. Ron and Debbie each got some sort of salad things while I split the cornmeal whitefish platter with my lovely bride. fishes came out hot and crunchy and pleasantly fishy-but-not-too-fishy... slaw was bright and crisp, cabbagey and just a little snappy; broccoli was deep green and still had some bite to it, completely and perfectly not mush! yea!! like most larger outfits this wasn't a meal for the ages but it was a fine meal for Sunday afternoon with friends which is precisely when and where we were. and them croissants... they was good and they only made my heart hurt a little ;-) read more

He got the manager to deal with the situation. She was cold and had a "stare you down" look about her. We ordered the Chips and Salsa, Wisconsin Cheese Bites, and the waiter gave us complimentary Honey Butter Croissants since it was our first time there. Really liked the Cheese Bites and the Croissants. I had the Chicken Tenders Basket with fries and Caesar Salad (I mean gotta try to eat healthy...). The salad was pretty good. The food and drinks were fine I just wish we had a more younger and quicker server that knew what they were doing instead we got the opposite. went here for my 18th birthday and the service was decent. the waitress was nice but seemed a bit scrambled, putting drinks and plates in the wrong places which wasn't a big deal. the ambiance was okay, a bit loud for my liking but i am bad for crowds so that's understandable. it was cozy and comfortable overall so i have nothing bad to say the food was mediocre, but i couldn't expect anything outstanding for the price point. my plate was about 15 dollars which is low to mid range for a sit in restaurant like cheddars. i ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and carrots. (picture attached) the breading fell off the steak pretty easily and i didn't get very much gravy but it was decent. the carrots and potatoes were quite good. my brother ordered the top sirloin steak with ribs, fries and a baked potato. the ribs were okay for the price point, not quite fall of the bone but they were tender and well seasoned. the steak was cooked good and well seasoned as well. the fries and potato were average (hard to mess up fries and a potato) overall, our entire party of 8 was decently satisfied. it was nothing exciting, nothing too disappointing. we probably won't return often but if you don't go in with high expectations, i'd say you'll leave not disappointed. read more
