Highly recommend this gem tucked away in a strip mall in Asheville. Friendly staff welcome you to this informal but amazing restaurant. Food quality is what you would expect at a 5 star restaurant, service is attentive and friendly and the cocktails are expertly executed. We had a lovely dinner here and our server was a great guide as we navigated the menu. We got a range of small plates and they were all excellent. Gnocchi, beets, salmon, steak were all amazing. Cocktails were impressive. Dessert was a nice bookend to the meal. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Our dinner at the bar was amazing! Tim was our bartender and server and you can tell he takes pride in what he serves. The cocktails were so good - fresh and smooth. The Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection - crispy and perfectly seasoned. My steak and potatoes were spot on. The potatoes are the perfect mix of mashed potatoes meets French fry but better than both! The bar seating was the perfect spot to watch the magical drinks come alive.

This restaurant had been on my wishlist since we did not have time to visit last time we were in the area. Despite staying downtown, we prefer to patronize less touristy places and this was a great choice! Just a few miles away, this cozy busy restaurant earns its ongoing popularity. Wednesday offers $5 off a glass of wine which was a pleasant surprise. We were fortunate to find a last minute reservation and happily sat at the bar. California pinot noir and sauvignon blanc were very good and we appreciated the different vineyard selection. We decided to split our meal: Bang bang shrimp, different presentation with a spicy aioli smear on the plate which was a nice complement to the fried shrimp Roasted broccolini was tasty and not overcooked . Again, aoli requested on the side. Maybe it is a regional preference for aoli on so many items? House made potato and French fries were both very yummy Brussel sprouts were delicious, nice garlic chili type of glaze. Feta, meh addition for me Trout entree was fresh and we loved the red peas and sautéed greens. Glad we asked for the sauce on the side. Tomato coconut flavor was unappealing. Bartender and service were spot on, highly recommend!

The restaurant is small and the staff is friendly. We sat on the patio, and it was a perfect day weather wise. We ordered four small plates and it was more than enough to fill two people. We ordered the arugula salad, beets small plate, crispy shrimp, and the duck. Everything was amazing and veggie/herb forward with the flavors being well balanced. We enjoyed every dish and look forward to coming again.

Copper Crown proves why Asheville's dining scene shines. Our server, Brenton, was nothing short of magnificent--his spot-on suggestions and warm hospitality made the night feel like we were dining with an old friend who just happens to have impeccable taste. Huge kudos to him and the entire staff, who kept the evening seamless from start to finish. The potato gnocchi is an absolute must--pillowy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The small plate bison also stole the show, bold yet refined. Honestly, not a single dish missed the mark--some simply stood taller than others. Copper Crown is the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

We visited this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend who lives in the Asheville area, as we do not. I was surprised at how small the restaurant is, which explains the need for reservations. With such creative and delicious fare, I'm sure they stay so busy! We dined on the patio where the weather was perfect and our server was excellent. We started with small plates of scallops and beef cheeks. The scallops were sweet and succulent and seared to perfection. The red grits were creamy and excellent, and I even ate the beets! I am not normally a beet-eater. The beef cheeks were incredibly melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was gently seasoned, and served over creamy polenta. The trout was seared perfectly, and covered with purple kale. The kale was a bit salty, but I believe that was intentional to accent the fish. Our friend said his burger was juicy and delicious. He said the special sauce and bacon were excellent. My husband had the crab cakes which were more Maryland style and were meaty and luscious. We went home with flan covered with macerated strawberries. Creamy and delicious.

Don't wait four years like we did to check out Copper Crown! Their drink menu is impressive and reasonably-priced for Asheville. We all started with cocktails - some from the drink menu and other specific requests. The menu offered something for everyone including gluten and dairy-free options. The seafood was fresh and pork schnitzel generous and perfectly prepared. They don't have a huge dining room but the raised patio seating also looks appealing for a future visit. The location has never drawn us in but we can't wait to return.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! We didn't have reservations but we showed up as they were opening and were able to get a table on the patio. The staff was the best in the world, so nice, gave wonderful recommendations. My boyfriend and I split a handful of small plates and a dessert and all of it was incredible. The meatballs were our favorite. The dessert was also the best we had on our trip to the area, it was a chocolate mousse thing, but I can't recall the name. Highly recommended you stop here!

We came early and first up was the Brussels sprouts. After all the wonderful things said, we HAD to try the Brussels sprouts! Hubster was decidedly not enthusiastic about the thought, but, good for him, they arrived and he tried them. The reason they are so good is they are "candied". They're made with a sugar-based syrup. They are so good, not only did my Brussels sprouts avoidant husband eat more than half the dish, he also did not bat an eye at the sprinkles of feta cheese (another of his less-than-favorite foods)! Next we tried the Bison and the scallops. Bison was smoky and delicious. The scallops were perfectly seared. We picked our plates clean! For dessert we got the chocolate pot du creme and the flan. The chocolate was dense and creamy, almost like a ganache and the flan was a little disappointing. When we come back, definitely more chocolate for me and we will try something different. Service felt a bit rushed, but, all in all, I can definitely see us coming back!

Pork Schnitzel. Loved it all but the collard greens, not a fan, very salty.

Very nice, cozy restaurant! Good variety of drinks and food. We ate at the bar and the service was very attentive. Loved the Brussels. Potato Gnocchi was good too and very unique. Pork Schnitzel and au gratin potatoes with it were delicious. Did not enjoy the collard greens though. Overall, would definitely go back!

Copper Crown never does me wrong. Tucked away from the tourist spots, it consistently delivers solid, well-seasoned food. Don't skip the blackened NC catfish with andouille jambalaya, collard greens, and honey-Tabasco butter--it's incredible and my go-to. The Brussels sprouts are a must appetizer and the burger never disappoints either. As I'm writing this I'm craving it all! Service is fast yet laid-back, and the ambiance is quaint and cozy. Perfect for an elevated casual dinner. Always love coming here!

I found Chestnut on Yelp and decided to wander in. The space has this elevated modern rustic vibe with a southern twist and a little bit of sass. They even sell shirts that say neither hoity nor toity, which cracked me up. Honestly, the atmosphere was great, but our waitress was the real star. She was absolutely phenomenal and looked after us perfectly. My palate was pretty fried, so I started with a Bloody Mary to wake up. Truth be told, it was just okay. The house mix had an odd flavor that nobody at the table could quite identify, and it seriously lacked spice. It was just kinda bland. I noticed a bottle of Firewalker hot sauce on the table, and splashing that in helped a little bit. After that, I transitioned to a mimosa. You really cannot mess up a mimosa too much, and it was a solid, reliable second drink. For the main event, I ordered the southern chicken and waffles. This came with a fried chicken breast sitting on golden malted waffles, smothered in sausage gravy, and drizzled with chipotle honey. It was a really great dish. The kitchen did a solid job with the fry on the chicken, and the gravy had a nice flavor. It leaned a little on the sweet side because of the honey, but it was not totally overdone. The real sleeper hit of the morning, though, was the side of cheesy grits. Those grits were absolute heaven. They were incredibly creamy and perfectly seasoned. If you go, you have to order them. Chestnut is in a great location, and despite the weak Bloody Mary, it was a stellar visit.

My fiancé took me here for my birthday, and I felt celebrated every step of the way. Our server Laura brought us a complimentary small bite before the meal and after dessert. I was in communication with Lindsay for over four months while exploring options for hosting my wedding dinner in their private dining space. Out of more than 10 venues and vendors we considered, she was the only one who consistently showed up with prompt, thoughtful, and genuinely kind communication. Every question I had--no matter how detailed or repetitive--was answered with patience and care. She made herself available through all my moments of uncertainty, which, as any out-of-state bride can attest, is invaluable. When we finally visited in person, Lindsay went above and beyond by accommodating us outside of regular scheduling. Her attentiveness and warmth never wavered. Planning a wedding from afar can feel overwhelming, but having someone like her in your corner brings a level of reassurance that cannot be overstated. Dinner itself was nothing short of exceptional. We were served by Tennille, who elevated the entire experience. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. Every dish was presented with intention, and she took the time to walk us through ingredients , local farm sourced education and preparation in a way that made the meal feel curated and special. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience--it shows in every interaction. After dinner, we visited their second location to explore their private dining options. There, we met Pierre, who matched the same level of service and hospitality. He went out of his way to not only show us the space, but also recommend local after-dinner spots that could enhance the overall experience for our bridal party. That level of thoughtfulness and big-picture thinking is rare. Bottom line: this team understands that they're not just serving food--they're creating experiences. If you're looking for a venue that delivers on service, communication, and unforgettable dining, this is it.
