Great service. Great food. Great scene. The waiter was very attentive. The food was amazingly tasty! The place was small but cozy and decor was perfect for the small space. I would go back!

Small restaurant with a limited menu. Very cool atmosphere and fantastic service. We had the chicken sausage pasta which was great, with a pretty good chicken/turkey broth. the special small bite was the octopus and it was it if those works good. Fanatic fennel salad and some kind of heavenly red sauce. Finally we got the Mahi with beluga lentils and sweet potatoes. Perfectly cooked and very interesting compliment. Definitely would come back again. Apple sorbet for dessert didn't disappoint either. Go!

The red snapper is one of the most inventive dishes we've had for a really long time! It felt like the chef was having fun and honestly I kept smiling like a weirdo and thinking "this chef's mind?!?" Great atmosphere, really cool specialized menu that rotates for the seasons. I would go out of my way to go back here (am about to haha!)

Their filet, rare. Amazing!!

I just had my best meal this month (pictured) paired with a Stella, then a Manhattan for desert. The ambience and staff are some of the best I've seen here. So friendly, so chill. Even the obligatory young couple with a baby, had the good sense to take it outside when it inevitably started to whine. It wasn't cheap. But IMO, worth every penny.

Following an authentically warm welcome from the host I was seated and took in my surroundings, which I'll attempt to chronicle as eclectic upscale casual with scattered diner features. Ask me tomorrow and I'd likely describe it differently but the main thing was, it felt inviting and warm and cozy and worth the trip to the far side of Merrimon. - Service was flawless and effortlessly gracious; many thanks, Nicole. - The salad of charred beets and apples was a masterpiece of texture, taste and presentation. - The focaccia, from Asheville Proper, was decadently satisfying. Its dip tasted a bit off to me - perhaps too much sage? But hey, silly me, it's described as a "sage dipping oil," after all. - The accoutrements to the gnocchi were nice, but the dumplings themselves were unforgettable - pillowy morsels of otherworldly deliciousness with wonderfully crispy edges, oh my! - My apple tart was served with a "fall-spiced" ice cream which brought tears to my eyes - after a fall of unparalleled suffering and loss in Western North Carolina, its familiar, comforting flavors lifted my spirits with the promise of better autumns to come.

Might I suggest that this is the best restaurant Asheville has to offer. Every bite was delectable. The service was great. The vibe is right. We got the sweet potato gnocchi and upon first bite, we knew we were in for a treat with the rest of the food. The pork chop was cooked to perfection, as were the veggies and potatoes that came with it. Sauce was stellar. My husband got the wreck fish and he loved it too. He is a hard one to impress and he genuinely enjoyed every bite of everything we got. I've never seen him with no notes. The cinnamon cheesecake is to die for. Everything about our experience was great. Thank you Little D's. We will be back upon our return to Asheville. And now might find an excuse to come up here just so we can come to Little D's

Another stunning meal at Little D's by Chef Faith Michael Patrick Hall! Sharables: the focaccia with maple crust was exquisite against the Maldon salt. Best bread I've ever had, and that says a lot coming from a carb addict. The beets were on par with every beet dish we've ever had at Little D's - a rejoicing of sweet and savory. The butternut soup was beautiful and made me reconsider my skirting of squash on most occasions. Main: our filet was gracefully prepared, and the sauce was a fun addition but certainly not necessary for such a well curated steak. As always, highly recommended for locals wishing to avoid the tourist areas, and for anyone wishing to have an intimate date with impeccable food to discuss. Cheers, Chef, and Nichole, our server! Thank you!

Butternut focaccia, so delicious

We really enjoyed little D's. It is in a great spot and has a very cozy interior. They have plenty of shareable dishes that were very good. A great little spot for a romantic date or two friends to catch up.

Holy cow! I've been…read morehere a couple of times while visiting Asheville. I come here every single time now. Plan ahead. This place is busy, because it is awesome! Make a reservation. I love Spanish food and tapas. Curate delivers like no other place I have been. I love the open kitchen - it's awesome to see them prepare the delicious food! Ask for kitchen seating for an extra treat! One of the advantages of the smaller plates is they allow you to sample from a wide range of delights! We always get the boquerones - I love the way they prepare the fresh anchovies! We also had a cheese plate, with a selection of dry, ripe, and blue Spanish cheeses - all of which were excellent and presented with very complimentary sides - the pear and apricot compote with the blue cheese was a personal favorite! We also had the patatas bravas (fried potatoes), lamb skewers, oysters, grilled shrimp, and stuffed piquillo peppers. EVERYTHING was a delight. The wine list is also exceptional. I had a delicious albarino, and a txacolina rose that was outstanding. We finished with the Tarta de Queso - which was delicious. Tangy, and lightly sweet. A perfect end to a great meal! Not just one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville, but one of my favorites period. I love Curate!

We were disappointed in our experience. We received many recommendations to go here and then found…read morethe food to be mediocre and bland. We had the cheese board, stuffed peppers, beet salad, and Mac and cheese. We didn't finish a single plate. The plate we did finish was the iberico meat. Our server never asked how we were enjoying our experience or made the observation that we clearly weren't enjoying the dishes. She spent her entire time speaking with a couple next to us to the detriment of her other guests. We did enjoy the sangria and the ambiance.
