Walking in the door, it feels like you step back in time and the attention to detail in the design is top notch. You order from the bar and the staff was friendly and inviting. The craft cocktails were delicious, I would recommend The Centerfold, and they carry a very impressive stock of bourbon and whiskey. This place is a vibe, highly recommend you check it out.

In my opinion: I should patronize the business and tip the band if I like them, and the business that hired them should pay them. No? With that, I'd bookmarked Crow & Quill on my Asheville to-do list and walked over from our hotel, so we paid and proceeded to the bar. After grabbing our first round, we were fortunate to find great seats in the packed house. Thankfully, I enjoyed the "surprise band" and they added to our first experience (and our tab) at Crow & Quill. lol... Cheers!

Their menu changes seasonally, with all the bartenders contributing to its creation. They are also more than happy to make something special off-menu. And the espresso martini is the best I have ever had in my life! A huge shoutout to Eddie and Max behind the bar. They are fantastic at what they do and truly make the experience unforgettable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the decor is charming, and the overall vibe is just so much fun. Do yourself a huge favor and visit The Times Bar. You won't regret it!

Every recommendation was spot on--even the radish cocktail that I wasn't sure about at first! What really stood out was the hospitality. We spent some time chatting with who we believe were the owners, hearing the story behind the bar and talking about Asheville. Those conversations made the experience just as memorable as the drinks. If you happen to remember the two Florida ladies who stopped in for a bit, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Asheville. Highly recommend!

The buffet included either two eggs or brioche French toast cooked to order. I ordered breakfast entrées such as two eggs with sausage, toast, and fresh fruit, while my husband had the bacon version. I also tried the avocado and egg tacos in corn tortillas, which were good. They happened to be out of fresh avocados that morning, but rather than simply telling me the dish wasn't available, the chef got creative and used some puréed avocado they had for another dish. I appreciated the effort to make it work. Coffee was self-service and was good. Capella on 9 also has a rooftop terrace that looked like a lovely place to have a drink and enjoy the view. Even our trolley driver recommended going there for a drink. One thing to keep in mind is that the restaurant stops serving food before the bar closes. Our flight to Asheville was delayed almost five hours, and I was trying to determine whether we would still be able to have dinner when we arrived. I tried calling the restaurant but could only leave a message, so I called the AC Hotel Asheville Downtown front desk instead. Although the posted hours showed Capella on 9 open until 11:00 p.m., the front desk told me the restaurant stopped serving food at 10:30 p.m. Since I used to work at a bar, I knew the kitchen could close earlier than the bar and was glad I had checked. In the end, we didn't reach the hotel until around 11:00 p.m. anyway. We had originally thought we might have dinner there during our stay because the tapas-style, small-plate menu sounded perfect for the way we like to eat. We never ended up having dinner, however, because there weren't quite enough dishes on the menu that appealed to us. I would have loved to see a few more straightforward choices such as croquettes and small steak or chicken plates. With a few additions like those, we probably would have eaten there for dinner as well.

The moon drink was just sweet enough. I'd order it again. The G&T was standard- nothing to write home about aside from the massive glass it comes in. My neighbors ordered the Lady Lava Lamp and LOVED it. We also got the patatas bravas- they needed more salt and extra garlic sauce for dipping. But they were crunchy as requested.
